But where are all the pink and blue haired people?

They're all at Comiket.

In the Nord Highlands in Cold Steel.

I'm having a heck of a time getting money in this game.  And U-Material for upgrading weapons?  Forget about it.  Definitely feeling like I need to stop and grind now.

You really don't need all the weapon upgrades.  In fact I feel like they're kind of a waste since they'll immediately be surpassed by a new weapon (which you can also upgrade...).  Meanwhile U-material is actually much more useful being spent on things like special quartz upgrades that you'll actually benefit from for a much longer period of time.

Driving while obeying traffic laws.

Oh, this.  So much this.

Also, knowing where your feet are.

So am I right in thinking that the "lines" in the ARCUS battle orbments in Cold Steel are completely pointless?

As far as I have been able to tell...yes.

Seriously if they have any effect I still haven't figure it out 2 games in.  Kind of disappointing to be honest.

Her sex addiction was bad enough, but I was talking about her openly expressing sexual interest in Fie.  If you had a friend who met a 16-year-old kid and his reaction was "I'd like to grill my meat on HER rack", you'd have nothing to do with that person.  That's Angelica.  She turns my stomach.

You know she's only a few years older than Fie, right?  She's like 19 at the start of CS1.

(some of the characters are horrible, including, so far, the worst video game character I have ever seen in any game I've played)

Wait...who is that?  I'm not saying I'm in love with every CS character or anything, but that's some pretty harsh criticism right there...

2. Trails in the Sky: Second Chapter
3. Trails in the Sky the 3rd
4. Trails of Cold Steel
5. Trails of Cold Steel 2
6. Trails of Cold Steel 3
7. Trails of Cold Steel 4

In that order?

And what about Zero and Ao!

Well unlike last gen the PS4 and Xbone are practically the same from a system architecture perspective.

You don't even mention FF6, your entire post is invalid.

I feel like I should be watching more anime but I really haven't found anything I like this season.  I was sort of enjoying Record of Grancrest War as well until ep 3...but what a mess that episode was.  It felt like they crammed an entire season into a single episode or something.  So much happened with so little explanation.  If that's the way the series is going to continue then forget it...

Maybe I'll try A Place Further Than the Universe after ironmage's recommendation.  I hadn't actually checked it out yet.

Yakitate Japan (28-episode peacock):   I guess this captures my sentiments.

It has been so long since I watched Yakitake Japan I had forgotten that ending was actually a thing.  Such a silly show.  It's hard to think of another ending sequence that has less to do with the contents of the show.

That is not a complaint, BTW ;)

And yet still we have WARGARBLLLLL WHERE MAH CHRONO TRIGGER and FF6?!?! crowd. News flash: they even remade your CT and FF6 like-games you always wanted. Its called I am Sestuna and Bravely Default. Oh and both those games are trash grindfests but I'm sure they'd be incredible where they belonged, in 1994.

Uh, you realize that neither Chrono Trigger nor FF6 required any grinding.  FF6 in particular was too easy if anything.

Looks to me more like they had a little too much Christmas spirits.

...I'll show myself out.

Single-Player RPGs / Re: Pillars of Eternity or Torment Tides of Numenera?

I really need to give Tides another shot but from what I played it really didn't hook me at all.  I felt no connection or engagement with any of the characters.  Admittedly I didn't get very far...but that's because I was too bored to continue.

And this is coming from someone who regularly claims Planescape: Torment is his favorite game of all time.

Pillars is great though.

Odd, I felt like the difficulty of Resonance of Fate was entirely front-loaded.  Don't get me wrong, it is a very difficult game early on.  But once you're past a certain point and start abusing the weapon customization and other mechanics, it's kind of a total cakewalk.  Including the final boss.

...which is not really how you're supposed to design games, but that's how I felt.
