Welp, I just got murdered by a bunch of flying cats in a box.

Yeah, well what'd those cats ever do to you?  Ya meanie. >:(

it's funny, because like I said on the show, I find the prologue very fascinating. It's incredibly entertaining to see the life of the village progress as your character progresses through the chapter. Like, let's use these love birds for example:

Ellie & Armand
The first time you are introduced to these characters, one is literally loitering behind a house (Ellie) and the other (Armand) doting over them from a distance on a elevated walkway (creepily). Armand totally wants Ellie, but he has to work up the courage to do so. Later on after the Bracer test, you come back to find them behind the house Ellie was behind, where you find out Armand confesses/proposes to her. Guess what? She refuses to accept him because she's a romantic at heart and want's to be proposed in a more romantic setting. Armand is baffled--especially when she says he is her type!

It's not until after the events in the tower after the bracer test, when it is evening, where you find these two on the clocktower spending a happily romantic moment together because he decided to propose to her there during the setting sun. (For your amusement, I have Estelle being a total creep in my picture). ;)

Also, let's not forget little claire!

Claire
She's a little reporter and knows the deets on this OTP. She's already got that boat shipped in her mind. ;)

Also, the localization is comically entertaining. Let's not forget lines like this:

This occurs after Soft-Ball-Mustached Dad bails these two out from what could have been a baaaaaad situation. I don't, maybe it's just me, but I like observing things like this. I enjoy watching them unfold. ;) (Also, Dice, I hope by the end of this game Estelle gets her pair of Stregas Sneakers.) ;)

Haha I meant more in terms of the general Chapter 0 intro, I just never thought the main chapter plot very compelling even when it had a chance to be.
I love that NPCs have a real followable chronicle as the chapter goes on, indeed, I think it's one of the most brilliant things in the game.

And the localization choices for Estelle, yes like ones "hide gettin' chapped" or (like the podcast mentions) "braining" someone is fantastic.  But great write up, Falcom has no shortage of story and personalities for all its characters.

fug it.  I'm putting Freedom Wars on hold to play TitS (lol) too.  There is just too much potential for fun here to not join in.

Me too, man. Me too.

Also-- I think from episode 2 we'll make it clear to where in the game we're going to get so that way it's easier for everyone to follow along. Sound good, team?

Sure thing, chef. ;)

Also, I will beginning chapter 1 later tonight. I'll try to take as many screen caps as possible. ;)

I might just play chapter 1 and that's, unless it's short. Not sure what to expect though. Everyone, JOIN ME AND MAKE THIS A TRAILS NIGHT.

Yeah!  So we're playing up to the chapter 3 title card for the next episode.

I'm gonna try to clear chapter 1 tonightas well.  So yeah, we can do it together like some kind of weird long range sleepover xD
Not even Jupiter can find a missed opportunity.

And I'm really glad that this has gotten such a positive reception!  Hopefully we can keep some of this momentum going!

Also, I wanted to suggest that we eventually play through a co-op RPG. That could be really fun on the show, yeah?

I said it before and I'll say it again.
Seiken Densetsu 3 feels kinda sexist to me, since overall, the 3 guys are much better than the 3 girls.

I'm not just saying that, because I played the game twice (once 3 girls, once 3 guys) and my 3 guys playthrough was much easier.
You could probably solo the game with Kevin or Duran which none of the girls could ever do.
