RPGFan: Site / Sources on news stories
« on: April 14, 2016, 11:38:49 PM »
Is there a chance you could link to the exact articles in news stories instead of just listing a site like gematsu as a source?
For example on this story this could link this as the source.

Anime, TV, and Movies / Big Time in Hollywood FL

Two brothers and their friend are trying to get their big break in movies or TV, but because they're really dumb, a misunderstanding happens and sets off a chain of events messing up their lives.
series premiere
the rest of the episodes so far

This may be the first TV comedy in recent memory that doesn't have a sitcom format, so that's pretty neat.
It just sucks that it hasn't gotten very high viewership ratings.

Anime, TV, and Movies / Rick and Morty

This is a thing on adult swim, and it's good, so check it out, it's like if Futurama were made for adult swim.
I also have two unused codes for a digital (HD) version of season 1, so pm if you want one.
That is, if you're a regular of the forum.
2/2 codes given.

General Discussions / Defining RPGs
« on: July 13, 2014, 03:44:09 AM »
So what do you think makes an RPG part of this genre?
Code: [Select]
I've noticed that RPGs generally tend to be meatier than anything else, even most open-world games, maybe because they have a lot of substance compared to regular action games or platformers and such.
Limiting the genre to needing progression of stats and/or skills seems like it would disqualify most visual novels and graphic adventures from coverage.
"You take on a role in every game you play."
Is role playing a thing in something like Tetris?

General Discussions / Linkstagram and Instaganon

Felt this deserved it's own topic, so I googled the name "linkstagram" from the most recent random encounter and found possibly the best internet argument ever.

General Games / Neverending Nightmares, a psychological horror
« on: September 10, 2013, 01:48:54 AM »
I had a feeling some of you guys may be interested by this, being a very interesting view on horror, but it looks like it may be on track to wind up being unfunded or barely if at all.
The developer also made this game.

General Discussions / A thread about cars
« on: May 15, 2013, 11:45:03 PM »
I'm getting a car soon because life demanded me to get one.
Out of curiosity what cars do you guys like or have had and stuff like that?

Code: [Select]

originally had in mind: something VW-ish, maybe Honda, preferably a 4d hatchback or sedan, something compact

General Games / Guacamelee, a new metroidvania beat-em-up
« on: February 23, 2013, 02:18:39 AM »
Played a demo at Target a few months ago and just started thinking about it again, wanting to play it.
I believe it may be exclusive to PSN based on some things I've read but also saw a few things about it being on XBLA, and no concrete release date yet far as I know.

General Discussions / Bioware co-founders leave company

This seems to me like something yoda may want to check out:

"pursuing some personal passion-driven projects related to craft beer"

Bioware + beer = ?
