What a pleasant surprise. Loved the last game for what it was.

Hopefully everything isn't so orangey this time.  Can't wait! I'm gonna level up my guy all crazy again.

So I guess I should play the first one right? haha I never got around to it, but it's on my backlog. Looks awesome.

I think we all asked for this.

Make sure to play the director's cut if you get the chance.  They included the DLC missions (which is kinda neat) and they made some slight UI changes and massively improved the boss fights (by basically letting you skip them using straight stealth).

Sweet! I planned on playing the director's cut, but it is nice to know the improvements.

Definitely play it. The game lives up to the original Deus Ex. The DLC can be skipped, they are not great but the main game its self is awesome.

The story premise sounds pretty cliche and kinda rediculous, but I suppose it has a chance to surprise me. Yet so long as the gameplay remains fun, I'll play it either way.

Man, I've still got Human Revolution sitting on the shelf.

The original Deus Ex was perhaps the greatest PC RPG of all time. Truly revolutionary game imo.

I'm replaying human revolution right now because of this announcement.

Is it clear how much of Human Revolution this will connect with?

By the look and sound of it, it appears to feed right off of one of the multiple endings of human revolutions.

I think they said that it's not following any of the ends.

Well, it's safe to say that at the very least,

Code: [Select]
kill himself and take the conspiracy info to his grave
I did read up a bit on what is known, and there is no statement about what happened between the 2 years. I'd like to think, however, that

Code: [Select]
Based on the larger amount of augmentations and the sudden loss of control in them, Jensen used the illuminati's story as the ending to keep augmentation going but force stricter regulations
In any case I am stoked.

yes
Rather unenthusiastic response, eh? :P

I'm pretty stoked for it. My only hope is that they make the world more bigger and expansive rather than a short chunk of a city.

What? So if you didn't get the right ending in HR, you won't understand it? I assume there must be more detail than that cos that sounds like it'd be an awful approach.

I know I'm hyped for this game, so much so that I've just started replaying DE:HR

I was checking this out and I see why this is bothersome. Human Revolution's endings never implied to any kind of continuation for as much as someone out there could say, for whatever reason, that a cliffhanger was left at one point. Mankind Divided is more of a 'what if...' type of continuation going by the logic it sets itself to follow.

Not that I necessarily need any more games to pile on to the ones already wanting to play, but this does look fun to me.
