The Soundroom / Re: Suikoden Tierkreis, missing desert track

Conclusion, that track was definitely cut from the official soundtrack. I decided to look at the format specified ripped tracks (mini2sf) and it's included as '999 Unknown #3.mini2sf'.

I'm definitely happy to listen to it in loop in winamp again, when I heard that track for the first time I was road tripping in the united-states and I just came back from walking in the Great Sand dunes when, later that night just before bedtime, I was parked in the Grand Canyon to play that part of the game, that track have a special place in my heart.

Perhaps some experts can help me? One of my favorite tracks in the game doesn't seems to be part of the soundtrack, or at least it's not included in all the playlists I watched on YouTube.

The music track in question is the song we hear at the beginning of this video:

I found that track to be mysteriously haunting, I'd like to find it in a proper quality, or knowing its name will help a lot. Thank you for your support :D

Thank you for your suggestions guys. $130 for repair (plus shipping costs) is almost the price of a brand new PS3. They are priced around $200 now.

I just got the game for free today, from the intro it looks very solid and I'm glad about all the positive reviews I've read here.

For some mysterious reasons, it's going to be the first one I play in the whole series, so perhaps I'm going to discover a gem and be motivated to play the entire series.

How tragic... just when I started to feel immersed in the game again, my playstation 3 died with the famous light of death yeallow light... and the game is still trapped in the console.

It's definitely a very nice port, FFX was 2nd best FF game and it's great to revisit it again.

I hoped some additional improvements such allowing to skip cutscenes, it's a big flaw they could have easily fixed.

Is it just me or the lips are no longer synced with the English voices? On the PS2 they did a great job with that aspect. In this version there are awkward moments when characters still move their lips when they're no longer speaking.

I never had the chance to play Mass Effect, that women on that screenshot looks stunningly well-done. I suppose there isnt many storyline segments in Mass Effect, probably why I'll never play it. It's another reason why I loved Japanese RPG more than the western ones, although most recent JRPG were a letdown. Only Hideo Kojima can still deliver a solid storyline with a massive amount of cutscenes these days.

I've tried the demo on the PS3 and I must confess I was really impressed with the visuals (very nice light effects), the storyline seems intriguing as well. I guess I'll have to give XIII-2 another chance and then play Lightning Returns to catch up with the storyline.

The more I read about Bravely Default, greater my excitation become.

I must specify the feature to avoid random encounters isn't totally new, I hope Square-Enix won't take all the credits for the 'innovation', especially considering it took them over 50 games to bring that feature in one of their games. The Wild Arms series used a very similar feature during the PS2 era. I've heard similar positive stories about Blue Dragon on XBox. I believe Skyborn by Dancing Dragon Games also had this feature. My take: it was about time Square-Enix decided to bring it after 30 years of history, they should have done this a long time ago.

@ Blackthirteen- I have been coming to this site for a LONG time and somehow Eternal Eden escaped me. I just looked into it and it looks AMAZING. I am really stoked to get to this game in the not so distant future.

Thank you very much for your kind words :D

Sorry, it wasn't my intention. I'm sincerely interested to know what happened to MistWalker, I didn't predict the thread would become kind of weird (haha).

I asked the same question on Facebook, here are some friends' replies:

"ive got Mr. Sakaguchi listed on my friend list on Facebook and according to his notes, he just travels around the world from hawaii to Japan and from there to ...well anywhere ...No sings about his new games since they released Party Wave ... his profile, "

"Hironobu Sakaguchi has no current projects. They wanted to do some iOS games in 2013, not sure if they are still doing that. Somebody asked The Last Story composer Nobuo Uemats if he knew anything, in July 2013 he said they were talking a lot, but that's all I know so far"

That would be amazing if RPGFan write an article on this subject. Hironobu Sakaguchi is after all the grandfather of jRPGs.

While we're in the middle of talking about nothing and joking around: Blssomsoft, I love all the stuff YOU'VE guys at least got going on!

Yeah. I thought someone would tell something about Mistwalker. Lost Odyssey and the Last Story were pretty good, I hoped to play another RPG from them.

Thanks a lot! I'm trying to survive this new age of technology. Everything change so fast. Seeing developers like Mistwalker and Nintendo in trouble don't make me feel safe haha

Nah, the next game will obviously be called Closing Chronicles or perhaps Ultimate Saga. If it's the latter one, King will try to sue their pants off, which might be more entertaining than the game itself.

Let's hope King won't sue Stephen King and ask him to change his name due to brand conflict.

I saw that as well, I hope it reaches the $1,000,000 mark. Unfortunately, but as expected, the funding seems to have slowed way down.  They haven't hit $400,000 yet. Still, that they've even received as much as they have is excellent and gives me some real warm fuzzy feelings about the future of RPGs on a small scale.  There's still a market, you guys!

I've followed so many KickStarter projects and I can tell funding always slow down but the momentum rise again exponentially during the last days. Considering its promising start, the project can easily reach $2,000,000 or even $3,000,000. There are still 23 days to go ;)

Still, Hironobu Sakaguchi used to be a legend, it's hard to believe he has become a has-been.

Anyone know where MistWalker have been since the release of The Last Story? They no longer update their Twitter account, no signs of life anywhere else. I'm truly wondering what's happening to them

Who had guessed someday the creator of Final Fantasy would strive to survive... :(
