I read something awful.  Quentin Tarantino is apparently interested in befouling Star Trek with his taint.  The prospect of this overrated, egotistical hack getting a chance to ruin Star Trek further makes me sick to my stomach.  If either Paramount or CBS allow this to happen, I will have to regretfully break with the series permanently.

He would forever befoul the series both in future and retroactively.  Star Trek is already on shaky ground with the dubious decisions made with Star Trek Discovery, they don't need to ruin the series further by allowing this fucking sack of shit to to degrade it even further.  To the powers at be.  Please see sense.  Don't let Tarantino destroy the series.

Basically, if the game were a person with a face, I would pinch its cheeks.  Yeah.  Dunno where that came from.  I'll blame it on lack of sleep.

It's not one of the best games of the year when the saving function is so fundamentally flawed.  In any case, I am watching Scott play the game on the RPGFancom stream.  I get all the benefits of enjoying the story without the frustration of playing it myself.

You guys are really condemming the game because it only has 1 save slot....really?
Yes.  In this day and age with large amounts of storage available (although, admittedly, the Switch is an exception), there is no reason to have only one save file for an RPG.  I consider this limitation a fatal flaw.

It only has one, so you don't save scum opening blades.  It's really stupid IMO.  NO game in this day and age should have one save slot.
Xenoblade Chronicles has just been removed from my to buy list for when I get a Switch.

This looks adorable and I'm totally putting it on my list.
You almost want to pinch the game's cheeks. What?

I have.  I didn't care then.  I do now.

@MonCapitan2002 - I mostly agree with you, except I really don't care for NPCs dressing like strippers either.  That's really the only difference.  But Fran and Ashe's outfits, especially, are probably the two worst outfits ever designed for any FF character.  Can anyone think of an FF character with a worse outfit (besides folks like Red XIII, who don't technically have outfits)?

I do have to say, Chris Lightfellow is one of the most well designed JRPG characters of all time, and I say that without ever having played Suiko 3.  On appearance alone, she is striking and memorable.  No need to show skin.

Also, that was Cloud of Darkness you linked, not Ultimecia.
Oh?  I thought she was a redesigned Ultimecia.  That makes a lot more sense.  In any case, she's still far too scantily clad for a fighting game.

I couldn't care less about scantily clad bunny girls.  Give me attractive human women over animal/human hybrids one hundred percent of the time.  Also, I can't stand Fran's get up in Final Fantasy XII.  It seriously pisses me off.  She's a freaking sky pirate dressed as a stripper.  She should be wearing clothing more appropriate for her profession as well as providing better protection for her body.

She can wear that costume when entertaining Balthier behind closed doors.  Seriously, if the game had the option to wear different costumes for the characters, I would've found something more practical to wear for Vaan, Fran and Ashe.  None of their costumes are appropriate for adventuring and rebelling against powerful empires.

P.S. - On another note.  The moment I acquired the waitress outfit for Velvet in Tales of Berseria, I immediately switched.  She's an awesome character, but I fucking hate her canon costume with the fire of a thousand burning hypernovas.  It's fucking awful.  Yes, she's hot.  No you don't need to have her barely dressed in such awful rags.  Don't get me started on the DLC costumes that seemed to be aimed at showing as much skin as possible.  Keep it to the concept art.

P.P.S. - One final note.  I have absolutely nothing wrong with scantily clad female characters as long as they're not melee fighters.  If the character's concept that they're a ranged fighter (such as archer or mage) and aren't intended to be fighting at close range, then I am willing to forgive showing some skin.  If the character is a civilian NPC (whether major or minor), then they can show as much skin as they like or the developers can get away with.  If they're meant to be melee fighters who get into the thickest of the fighting, then they better be appropriately attired. Chris Lightfellow from Suikoden III is a decent example of what I'm referring to.  Both her costumes are appropriate for a warrior to wear.  Ultimecia's barely there costume from Dissidia Final Fantasy, however, offends me.  Seriously, if she were nude, I'd be less offended.  At least, then, the developers would be honest about their intentions.

P.P.P.S & TLDR - Sorry about the rant, but the comment about bunny girls set me off.  I'll try to be quieter next time.  Also, if you like bunny girls, I'm cool with that.

The announcement was: Sky Pirate's Den is returning.

I have a feeling that whatever the announcement is about will turn out to be underwhelming.

We have a winner! Give this man a cookie.
I'll take go for the traditional chocolate chip cookie.  As for the announcement.  *yawn*

That still doesn't change my opinion.  Yes the name is stupid.  But at the end of the day, the localization, as poor as it was did leave us with a coherent story.  It wasn't so bad that the localization interfered with my enjoyment of the game.  The biggest annoyance in my opinion were the interception and suppression missions which felt like chores.  No amount of localization can fix that.

There's no difficulty related trophies to get in Tales of Berseria.  The ones I'm missing to get the Plat are Shattered Soul, A Solid B, the level 200 trophy, the item collection trophy and the Tales Coin trophy.  None of these are difficulty specific.

I am definitely looking forward to it.  Especially if they build on what they did right with Tales of Berseria.  The game was seriously awesome.  Still need to finish getting my shiny platinum trophy, though.  I just hope the next game brings back the navigable world map, but sadly, I think that might be a thing of the past. ;_;

If the translation was this bad why didn't they just delay both versions instead of releasing the PS4 version early. I'm just thinking right now of saying alright you know i'm not going to wait until next year to play it i'm just going to start playing it I mean the translation isn't bad to the point where it's unplayable there's just alot of errors.
The translation isn't terrible.  It is mediocre, however.  Still, even with the poor localization, the story is mostly coherent.
