Seconded to everything Derek said-- and thank you again for the positive feedback! I'll have to come back soon :)

The guest on the most recent episode was a pleasant surprise and yall should bring him back more often!

It was great for me too ^^. I'm happy you enjoyed it as much as I did!

Awesome explanation, Caitlin. It's badly told in-game, the fridge trope and everything with Luna can get fucked, but I agree on all points, especially that Ardyn had a lot of potential as a character.

I'm probably no good to keep commenting then.  I honestly just don't really sweat this kind of stuff.  I don't feel like I was 'ripped off' now, so added features/tweaks just feels like a bonus at this point.

I'm with you. I loved it when CDPR kept adding to the Witcher and reworking the dialogue translation and re-voicing and adding adding adding. No different here. The game I have makes me happy, and I'll be happier to see it get even better. That's not to say I don't understand people who've already beaten it feeling like 'well I can never have that first play through again,' but I guess I'm not sympathetic because I've been doing this with KH re-releases since the series began :)

i hate the combat because its basically hold circle till you win. hold square if you are about to be attacked. also the combat really falls apart in encounters where your allies cant stay alive. i've been playing videogames since the nes i need something more engaging than hold circle.

I can't name many fights in this game that can be won with hold circle til win. That works on basically the enemies in the first area, for a few hours. That's a generalization the internet just seems to not want to let go of.

this looks awesome A+ job

I've played 10 hours of the Judgement Disc. I didn't find any bugs as I went through the main story, but I definitely hit several visual bugs after. I believe it's an older build, BUT I also think everyone would do well to expect some animation and other visual jank. It's great fun and the banter is charming as hell, but it's gonna be janky in parts.

The anime and game are totally separate. The movie is basically what happens in the city after brosquad departs, and the anime is backstory for several characters. The anime is only about 10-15 minutes per episode, too, so you can finish the entire thing in under two hours by the time every episode is out. Nothing is really spoiled in either, though Kingsglaive will spoil certain characters and what happens to them in the first few hours of the game, though I imagine it's all stuff one might expect.

There are tons of unlockables. There are like 8 costumes per character, unlockable customizable sprays, dialogue lines, emotes, and victory poses. Just nothing gameplay-boosting.

Definitely disagree that there should be progression-based rewards in a game like this. Might work for Battleborn, but for any game aiming to be competitive (which I don't see really happening with BB), you can't have someone with leveled up abilities or some such. They're aiming for the eSports crowd with Overwatch, and then means everyone on a level playing field all the time.

Or not care since it's great now.

With regard to the discussion of Supergiant games on the most recent episode: I found Transistor to be much, much more compelling than Bastion, although I enjoyed both games.  I didn't find the talkative sword to be at all annoying or hipstery, and really I just got very drawn into the world.  It didn't seem like anybody on the podcast really shared my enthusiasm for the game, but I binged it over two days, and when I beat it it left me feeling that melancholy you feel when you finish a really good book.

Also, you guys should totally do something at Magfest, because I'm seriously considering going to the next one that happens, so you'd have at least one panel attendee!

Lastly, goodbye Stephen! Good luck in future things!

Thank you!! I'm both sad and very excited. Thanks for listening to me ramble on the show ^^
