Correct there have been several different podcast that have done game clubs. They set an artificial point in the game and give a specified amount of time for people to reach that part. What I am personally looking for is a few people to have a more on-going conversation about a game over a specified period time. I personally dont like forums to me because I hardly use a computer. I am on the go and when I do get to sit down by myself I dont want to have to be digging in a forum to remain invested in the conversation.  What I would like is a group of people on something like FB messenger all in a group chat, randomly chatting together the progress through a game with generalized guidelines moving us forward.
For example, I am playing DQ8 now, we would say ok in a month you need to reach this town but as we are playing I can send a text to the group saying something general This game is hard any tips, How is everyone like it or I am stuck at this boss and if a conversation was going to containing more spoilers then someone who is in the group with me can carry on the conversation on a separate chat.
I apologize I am not conveying this very well, I didnt sleep well last night. Btw just downloaded discord going to try it out but it seems like this is what I am Loki for

First I want to apologize, I did not research the internet to see if there is anything already like this.
I am looking for some random 3-5 people who would be interested in forming a Video Game Book Club. The intent of this is to have individuals we can share our experience. To be honest, I am looking for this to be low maintenance. I have very little time to game as is and I prefer that time not to be consumed with managing rather than experiencing. Due to this, I prefer communicating via group instant messenger like KIK/FB Messenger or if someone has better examples.
The reason I am trying to do this, is that I am 32 years old with a wonderful wife and beautiful daughter who is about to turn 1. As great as they are, they do not share passion for gaming and at my age and career its hard to find others locally who have the same interest where I cannot invest a lot of time socialize outside of gaming/work/and family responsibilities.
If anyone is interested please respond below with any thoughts, brief description of yourself, a few favorite games/ genres something to get an idea of your taste especially if there is anything you would prefer to stay away from such as rogue likes.
Also please indicate which system you would consider playing and messenger apps you have.

The Soundroom / 2014 Personal Soundtrack

I have been busy due to personal issues for the better part of this year, while I rarely post, I do tend to read a lot of the topics. So, I apologize in advance if there is already a topic like this somewhere but I thought this may be fun for some of us. The idea is to pick a song or two (if you are like Stephen and can't chose ;P) that represents to you a game you played this year. It doesn't have to be your favorite song or do you need to actually complete the game but it should be sometime that represents the experience you had while playing it.

Divinity Original Sin - Power of Innocence and Dance of Death
Child of Light - Dark Creatures

I just wanted to say that before listen to the podcast I took a lot of the music forgranted. Most of time while playing a game I would be listening to a podcast or an audio book. Now, not so much, instead I try to embrace the atmosphere of the game unless big grind. So once again thanks. BTW just started Puppeteer. I know its a platformer but the music is superb and its apparently done by someone who worked on a bunch of movies like Harry Potter.

I just completed Diablo 3 on normal, enjoying it much more than the pc counterpart. Wish there was more people playing. I should be done with Tales of Xillia soon, like the game but felt like it missed a lot of its potential.

I just finished soul sacrifice, playing tales of xillia now. Really enjoying Tales though.

On the side note, I edited my first post to show how many games each person completed so far and linked an excel file that list each. Everything will be update frequently.

Hey, I am new to the site and am looking for people to play similar games, and willing to discuss them from time to time. Looking forward to joining the community.

It is easier for me to compile a list by tracking post rather than search each original post to look for anything new but that is up to you all. Also the year at the end is good idea.

Sadly the only western music I can think of is from costume quest random enough. But I really enjoyed the boss theme episode. Also, I am really digging the music to muramasa, anyone else listening to it?

Ps instead of some good songs how about some of the worse such as the red chocobo somg from final fantasy x 13-2

Not sure if one was already created and I have seen this elsewhere. I liked the idea so I wanted to create one for this site. The purpose of this thread is to list the games we have completed over the year. If anyone is interested, I plan to update the first post weekly compiling what everyone post below. I linked a pdf file onto the first post for easier access that I will update as the year goes on. I am still playing around with format. Please message me if I have missed anything.
