1 Xanadu Next
2 Bioshock
3 Beyond Good and Evil - fantastic (and very short) little gem. Great lead character and setting in an interesting world. Lots of puzzles.  Though the storyline was a bit confusing in the end.  All in all good times.

I was wondering how long you'd let DerJer carry on (despite how quiet this place has gotten)...

just beat Bioshock.  VERY good FPS (though, outside of the Halo series my experience in that genre is limited).

Xanadu Next is a perfectly competent Falcom ARPG.  Nothing special though so it's a bit disappointing considering the dev.

Running through Full Metal Alchemist again.  Still 10/10. Though I've come to the point in my life where shows like this are about as violent as I can handle.  I just don't have the stomach for things like Attack on Titan anymore.

^ this. The last sentence at least.  Though I won't get my hopes too high up.

more Xenoblade.  I think I'm actually going to stick with it this time.  Though I'm sure I'll get impossibly bored by it before the end.

I haven't seen anything yet that suggests it's actually open world though.

I have not completed any games in 2019. But someone, somewhere has.  This is as good a spot as any to mark them down.

1) Doom and Destiny -  stop #1 on my "Xbox360 Retirement Tour" was stupid and rote and most of the jokes were offensive.  Oh well. On to the next one.
2) Shank - Another XBLA game I blew right through.  I'm trying to retire my 360 so that means slogging through shitty, overly violent platformers like this one before I finally play Dark Souls.
3) Guardian Heroes - XBLA
4) Half Life 2 - XBLA
5) Breath of Death VII - XBLA
6) Cthulhu Saves the World - XBLA
7) Sequence - XBLA
8) Panzer Dragoon Orta - Xbox
9) Castlevania Chronicles - Vita
10) Tales of Vesperia - 360 - 57 hours. Great game, 2nd best tales after Eternia. But the real story is that I finally get to chuck my old and busted Xbox 360.
11) Gravity Rush - a competent game in a fascinating setting.  Wasn't everything it could have been but definitely gets high marks for taking some chances.
12) Skies of Arcadia - 59 hours.  I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this game.  Though I don't really have anything to say about it that hasn't been said ad nauseum before (great setting, fantastic cast, loads to discover, but way too many goddamn random battles, even with the white map. when all you want to do is explore...)
13) Torchlight II - 27 hours.  Outside of my gripes with the controls, this was a tremendously fun and challenging (on veteran) game.  I very much prefer Torchlight's visuals and ambiance to other hack n slashes like Diablo.

14. Shadowrun Returns - it's a real shame that the Shadowrun universe doesn't get more love. It's cyberpunk done right and even though the game itself is rather short, you're still getting a fun story in a great setting.

Holy Crap.  13 games in a year is blisteringly fast for me.

Finally beat Torchlight 2.  It's a fantastic game.  But also highlighted every issue I have with playing a hack n slash with a mouse and keyboard.  Since you left click to both move and attack, time and time and time again when the screen was filled with enemies, I would be trying to fall back to a safer position and would instead just stand there like an idiot firing my pistols (because there was hardly any space to click on anything but monsters) and getting torn to shreds.  Other times, I would click on a monster to attack and instead my poor, sweet dullard of an outlander would start running headlong into danger without letting off a single shot.  At least give me wasd or something... it was infuriating,  and would never be an issue with a controller.
