Just played the demo. I thought it was quite fun. The dialogue is really reminiscent of Phoenix Wright (including characters with puns for names). I think the bar tending mechanic is pretty original as well. I like how branching the dialogue is. I'm wondering how much of that quality will stick around with the games release.

Neat thread.

Final Fantasy IX - The Place I'll Return to Someday

Really love 9 music overall. Great pick. Gives a real sense of the upcoming adventure.

Venus & Braves - Title Theme

Never have heard of this game but I really like the music. Very soft yet grand.

Uncharted - Main theme (I went with 2)
Love the adventure of this piece as well. Really gets you ready.

Zelda: ALttP.

It's amazing to me how good this sounds despite the hardware. They were very masterful.

My contribution:
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy
Manages to encapsulate so many themes from the games, getting you ready for the "epic" court showdown. I love AA music overall.

RPGFan Music Discussion / The ETHEReal String Project

Just bought and listened to this album after reading Marcos' review. I was equally surprised that the beautiful string sound was created with three players. Overall, the album is very pleasant to listen to. I especially liked the FFXIII renditions (since seeing Distant Worlds recently, all I've been listening to is FF music...). The musicians were really able to grab the emotions of each of the pieces. The album has a nice variety to it, highlighting both great Eastern and Western themes (I was very happy to hear Mass Effect 3). Definitely a good buy. I hope there's more to come. What did others think?

I liked 999, and couldn't put down VLR, very excited for the announcement of 3. I'm glad it's being made.

I'm still playing through the original content. Very excited to get onto Heavensward though. I am really loving a lot of what they did with this game. The music is absolutely amazing too. I just bought both of the soundtracks (and had to buy a blu-ray drive for my computer to go with it). I also really enjoy the world. It's very fluid and fantastical. My biggest gripe is how the game nickel and dimes you for transportation (I just got a Chocobo though which is very exciting). When I get further in (only level 26 right now) it would be great to play with some of you!

Just started listening to the podcast (just finished up episode 7). I am really enjoying it so far, I am big fan of video game music and your show definitely matches my tastes. My favorites episodes so far were 3 and 4, the Phantasy Star series overview. I was not very familiar with the series going in, but after listening to the shows I decided to pick up the Phantasy Star Collection for the GBA to check it out. Hopefully you do more series overviews through music in the future (you may have already). I'll be trying to catch up to the later episodes to have some comments that are a bit more relevant.
