So I finally finished my first game of 2017. For whatever reason, life got in the way, and gaming took a real back seat, plus I think I was sort of burnt out from the previous year, so I took a long hiatus from gaming. I dabbled a bit here and there, but nothing really took.

Ugh same here. Worse year I'm going through. =.=

Ok last night I just finished Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana. I might make a video review and post it on you tube.

Overall I thought the game was really balanced. A good blend of story with crafting. The new atelier games are jam packed with crafting its a little insane.

If anyone is interested I have a playlist (not complete since I still need to finish editing the final footages.)

So now I think I'm gonna go back to Anachronox.

1. Rise of the Tomb Raider
2. Hyperdimension Neptunia Re:Birth 2: Sisters Generation
3. Kingdom Hearts 2.8
4. Atelier Rorona
5. Atelier Totori

6. Atelier Meruru

And that concludes the Arland Trilogy. Was quite a journey that took me from being unable to get into the Atelier games due to the time mechanics, to actually finding myself more engaged than other games mostly due to those very mechanics. The games are actually helping me in my own life realize that there just isn't enough time to do everything there is to do and I need to start thinking about the things I really want to do.

But before I get too deep into my own personal neuroses, I'll simply say that I had a lot of fun playing through the games and I feel more accomplished--having completed them so quickly--than I've felt in a while. Though now I remain curious during what fight Meruru's version of Terminus was supposed to play.

Looks like me and you are trying those Atelier games :3
I just finished Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana.

  • Syberia 2
  • Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana

I'm not done with the You Tube videos of Atelier but I have all the cutscenes on YT if anyone wants to watch.

I'd play the second Atelier Iris but I have a sealed copy. I think I rather go find a used one so I don't open it.

SO3 was the last good one. Glad to see its getting a re-release, even though it does not look like that big of an improvement.

Oh I just found out. But I don't think I'll be buying it again. Unless it goes on sale.

Ok so I just got to the part where I meet up with Rho Bowman. I've got to say I'm impressed with this character. Finally a black female character with none of the horrible stereotypes. She's a intelligent scientist who wears a cute puffy green jacket, rocking cornrows and a shades that make her look like Morpheus.

I can see why there is so much hype for games like Overwatcher (which I don't play). They recently announced a character who is autistic. Now that's something different.

Anachronox isn't too long.  I think I finished it around 25 hours.

Oh I just noticed your signature, you gave editors choice to Anachronox ha!

Think of that first area like Midgar in FF7.  Once you get through it, the game really opens up.  Granted, I loved Midgar and enjoyed The Bricks in Anachronox (especially when it started going like an Escher painting).

Oh I didn't think about Midgar but your right! I was thinking more of that one city in The Matrix 2, what was that place called again?

Anachronox is fantastic (I gave it an Editor's Choice and wrote an editorial about it called "Why My Favorite JRPG isn't Japanese"), but that game was really buggy.  I assume versions available on GOG and all were given the two official patches.  There are also two fanmade patches out there as well, and with the original box version (which I played), having both official and both fanmade patches made the game run perfectly.

Oh I was wondering if there was a review on RPGFan for it haha, it's kind of an old game. I'm actually liking the game so much I've been making a video playthrough and I plan on making a cinematic only of Anachronox and possible do commentary lore of Anachronox. I'm only 5 hours in and loving it. Is it a long game?

Overall its an ok game, defiantly this game wouldn't be as exciting if they didn't have the abundant jobs you can be in this game. I think there's more jobs in this game than FFIII (DS). So games beaten so far are

  • Syberia 2
  • Final Fantasy V

Currently I am working on a game called Anachronox. Old Square Enix game, it has a sci-fi theme to it. Gonna make a video walkthrough of the game. Some of it is already posted on my you tube channel.

Spicy maple bourbon pickles.
Can't get enough of them, even when they set my mouth on fire.

Ewe pickles.

Just beat Syberia 2 on PC.

And this is how I start falling behind in gaming. By playing one game before I even beat another. I started Fate Extella which just recently came out. So far the game is.....ok. It feels like a weird mix of rpg visual novel and a hack and slash tower defense game. Made a video of it.

I need to finish Syberia 2 because I am close to the end and I was making a video walkthrough.

Currently playing Syberia 2. When I heard the announcement for Syberia 3 I was so excited. If you guys don't know the PC game Syberia I'm making a video walkthrough on my YouTube. Syberia 2 isn't as great as the first game. I think Syberia 2 focused too much on a specific story plot between Kate Walker and the Bourgoff brothers. Syberia 2 seemed like the story was about exploration, lore and so many other things. If you haven't played either games I defiantly recommend play the first one. They are both on steam and the Syberia 3 is also coming out on steam and Switch, which I think is pretty cool. Graphic wise Syberia 3 is making a lot of improvements and it looks like its going to play better than before and feel better.

Video Walkthrough:
The video walkthrough isn't complete. I should be able to complete Syberia 2 today. Its fairly a short game if you use the walkthrough which is given to you when you download the game. You just have to go in the steam files to open the walkthrough.

I think I'll make a quick video review of this game as well. Also...

Fate Extella comes out today so going to pick that up.

Wow that's tough. I'm leaning towards SO3.

Also we need forums that lets us do polls XD

I recommend The Dragon Quest series on PS4. So far I'm loving what they've come up with.

Also I recommend Star Ocean. 1. because I did enjoy it and 2. people bash this game way too much, SO4 was way worse if your gonna skip something.

I am Setsuna ain't too bad.

Also buy the PS2 remakes? There's Arc the Lad and Dark Cloud.
