I liked it a lot! Yoon Si Yoon was amazing in the drama. His character showed great growth throughout the drama. One of the main characters (Jihoon) irked me because was too old (23) to be acting all angsty for as long as he did.

I feel weird for only have 25 teeth. One of my bottom incisors never came in, I had two molars on top removed when the dentists rearranged my teeth before getting braces, and had all four wisdom teeth come out.

@Arvis

Are you watching anything new lately? Lately I've been watching 20th Century Boy and Girl, While You Were Sleeping, Because This Life is our First, and Reunited Worlds. Recently finished The Best Hit earlier in the month.

Rucks, if you wrote a book about all the crazy shit that happens at work, I'd buy it.

I recommend sedation for wisdom teeth removal. I got all four removed at once and was sedated. Didn't feel a thing until a week later when my meds ran out.

My PS3 controller died and the extra I had got lost during my move, so I plan on getting a new one tomorrow. In the meantime, I started SMT IV since I wanted a handheld to play.

My company fully covered 10 sessions I had with a specialist. Insurance covered about 1/3 of the costs with the general physician, but I didn't see him as much as the specialist, so I probably only spent around $400 out of pocket, which was good considering how much treatment I was getting. Well, it was my former company's awful working conditions that lead to all of the problems, so I took full advantage of their policies.

Already 27 hours into Trails of Cold Steel 2. Gonna have to start playing slower from here on out, but this game and its predecessor have rekindled my love for RPGs.
Hurray! More love for Cold Steel 2. So what specifically about the Cold Steel games have you been loving that you felt other games have been missing?

Well, it's not that other games have been missing things, it's just being older and having more responsibilities that limits my time available for gaming and other hobbies, so I need really good games to keep my attention.

What I think ToCS 1/2 (not as fun to write out as TiTS, and will need to play those in the future) does very well is character development, world building, story, and battle system. It's rare for a game to have all of those elements, and usually the SMT series is the only other series that has all of these qualities, but even then, the main line of SMT games usually favor the world building while the character development is nonexistent. Or there are games like the Tales game that have great characters and a great battle system (or in some recent entries between Graces f and Berseria, an average one), but don't have the best plots (though Abyss has my favorite plot in the series).

Spoiler for those who haven't played ToCS yet:
Spoiler: show
I love the Divine Knight battles as I am a huge mecha fan!

Also ToCS has my RPG waifu Claire.

I've been playing Trails of Cold Steel and I'm at the final boss in the old schoolhouse. I have tried twice (even tried with the option of weakening the boss after dying) and then another time and cannot defeat him. I have tried using Crafts to delay the boss (using Rean, Gaius and Jusis) and then having Rean and Emma spam Impassion to keep CP up and use Chrono Drive to make my characters faster, but the fucking boss after some time just ignores the huge time delay he should have and then starts fucking up my characters. I've watched several gameplay videos to see if I did anything wrong and saw that people were winning with different strategies and party members.

Maybe I just need to level grind, but yuck.

EDIT: Literally spent all day (not kidding) finishing this game. Was able to figure out a strategy to win without taking much damage, but damn did those battles take a while.

Also, all of those twists at the end! I didn't see most of them coming. I'll just say that I'll be going around the city trying to find the Trails of Cold Steel 2, but will probably take a break from gaming until December (I have CPA exams to study for and was distracted by playing Cold Steel because this game is incredibly engrossing. Definitely a Top 5 JRPG for me.

The final boss took about 4 tries for me. The problem for me was I only had 2 characters that had accessories to block vanish. Eventually I won by having Rean, Alicia, and Jusis (with Laura and the force orb coming in late) all clumped together with Sharon way on the other side of the screen. The boss kept going after sharon (Sharon had high magic/damage evasion and I think she had a high defense and orb that attracts?). Jusis used platinum shield, Rean used s-crafts and the other character buffed CP with techniques or that final recipe that gives you 77CP. I never used chrono drive to my knowledge.

Cold Steel 2 is just as good. I wish I could play it for the 1st time again.

How did you have Sharon for the final boss in ToCS 1?

I don't know if I posted about getting a new job, but I moved to Raleigh for a new job to join a smaller, local accounting firm for the better work/life balance. This past deadline (9/15) is usually very busy as that is when business returns are due (at least for the federal government and some states. Many are due 10/15.) At my old job, I probably would have been working 55-70 hours per week for two months straight. At my new job, I've worked a total of 1 hour of overtime since I've been here and it's been amazing. What is great about this firm is that any overtime is accrued and will either be paid out as additional compensation time (salaried job, so no true 1.5x OT pay) or extra vacation time. So while I'll still have to work overtime January through April, at least I'll get extra vacation time out of it, which makes the extra work bearable. At the old firm, extra OT was expected just because it was a prestigious firm.

However, due to actually having a life, I've been addicted to Trails of Cold Steel 1 and 2 haha.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel is the first non-Pokemon game I've beaten since I've beaten Persona 4 in 2012. Didn't realize that I've spent so little time gaming the past 5 years until now.

I'm pretty annoyed that my attempt to start Cold Steel this year, after all the GOTY hype II got last year, has been sidelined all the way to this point.  I still need to finish Sky 3, then promised a friend I would finally play Xillia 2.  Cold Steel feels FOREVER away!

I've spent around 3-4 hours after work every day playing Cold Steel 1 this past month.

Play Cold Steel. Now.

Yeah, as someone who has dealt with severe depression in the past (and I currently take antidepressants and do many things to combat my depression), I can see why someone would commit suicide. I've been in that state where I didn't care if I died and wished for a big semi-truck to run me over.

In other news, I got a new job in Raleigh! I'm happy to be moving out of Ohio and going to a smaller firm where I won't have to work so many hours!
