Single-Player RPGs / Huge PSN RPG Sale (EU)
« on: September 04, 2014, 11:55:30 AM »
Celebrating 10 years Rising Star Games have huge discounts. This is EU only, I don't think Rising Star Games released these games in the US.

I got Rune Factory Oceans a.k.a Tides of Destiny in the US. I have heard it is not as good as Rune Factory 4 but as that game was never released in EU and the 3DS is region locked I cannot play that.

I've heard a lot of good things about Virtues Last Reward but the previous game 999 was never released in the EU so I don't know if I should get VLR. People say you should play 999 first.

This adding the the ongoing sale of Disgaea 3 on Vita, Mugen Souls Z, Demon Gaze, Atelier Rorona/Totari/meruru Plus and Dagonronpa I am drowning in great sales for RPG's this month and I don't have money for it all!

Single-Player RPGs / Best PS3 exclusive JRPG?
« on: March 13, 2012, 04:58:16 PM »
I've had a 360 for years, but I finally got a PS3. I'm only going to use it for exclusives since I didn't buy it to play games I could already play on the 360. I'm not a fan of strategy RPG (Jeanne D'arc is pretty much the only SRPG I've really enjoyed) and I'm not a huge fan of action-RPG's or real-time FF12 style RPG's. I prefer traditional turn based RPG's the likes of FF10, Persona 4, Shadow Hearts, Mana Khemia etc.

Right now I'm leaning towards Atelier Totori since it seems the have some good reviews (90% on this site). Never played any game on the series before even though I've thought about getting the PS2 games.

Compared to the PS2 there seems to be a lack of JRPG's. Even after the PS3 came out the PS2 got more RPG's and until recently great JRPG's were still coming out on PS2. Are there less games being made or just less that come out outside of Japan? Even in Europe where I live the PS2 was supported better than any other console when it came to JRPG's and I was joping it would be the same for PS3.
