The Helper Monkey / Need help! Starcraft 2 expansion will not install:(
« on: September 20, 2014, 08:19:07 PM »
I've on this for a couple of hours now and still getting the "Whoops.." message. It will not update and ive scoured the forums, message boards and such. Anyone run into this with D3, Hearthstone or anything? Ive done eveything. Deleted temp files, disabled antivirus..all the suggestions. No luck. Submitted a ticket but that could take days. Pretty annoyed now. Any help would be appreciated.

This one is in open beta for the next 9 days if anyone is interested. I haven't played enough yet to have any kind of opinion. Optimization is not quite there as of yet but its at least playable on my relatively modest rig.

Im sure this has been done before but I'd be interested to see some posts on this again. I'll start with Ghouls and Ghosts on Genesis. It took me the better part of a year when I was a lad. I know I couldn't do it again.

Has anyone tried this one yet? I downloaded it on Sunday and Im really enjoying it so far. At least from a gameplay standpoint, Its a lot of fun. I haven't grouped with others a whole lot yet but the Foundry quests which are made by the community offer up some interesting content. Not sure if it'll have the legs to keep me for the long term but I like most of what I've seen in this FTP MMOARPG.

Decided to check out this ftp diablo clone tonight and its pretty good. Lots of people on and a large amount of characters to unlock. The controls seem a bit sluggish regardless of graphic settings although that may be a personal issue. Anyone playing? Thoughts?

The Helper Monkey / adding funds to psn
« on: January 02, 2013, 03:28:12 PM »
I've been trying all day to use my pre-paid visa I got as a gift on the psn but no luck. I've tried all obvious routes, making sure there is money on the card, matching info with billing, etc etc. It keeps saying ' cannot add funds' or card is invalid. Even some error 56 b.s. I have been all over google and havent found a solution. Anyone have this happen or know of a solution??
If not, please don't troll me about just getting a pre-paid psn card as I've been hearing that all day:/ thx:)

I'm sure most of the metal heads here know this cat but I recently caught most of the 'metal evolution' episodes on the tube. Flight 666 was stellar but his other stuff deserves viewing too. I would like to see more talk about classical influence but whatever. here's the wiki info for those who haven't read up.
I wish i had this guy's drive and devotion to the music i love.

General Games / Payday: The Heist

I tried the demo for this on the PSN and came away pleasantly surprised.  I just made this topic for anyone who is into Left for Dead style 4-player co-op who may have otherwise not known about it.  I only played through the demo stage twice but overall I found it fairly well done.  It's basically the same idea as LFD, just switch from zombies to cops while heading for your objective. The game mechanics are fairly similar.  There are skill trees and weapon unlocks as well.  Anyway, i'm most likely getting this tomorrow.  Unless I missed something, this should get favorable reviews...I hope.

General Discussions / DLC. Is it going too far?
« on: August 30, 2011, 01:45:17 PM »
I feel I have to say a little something about this.  Just reading up on Gear of War 3's  $30 fee to get future dlc packs(which have no date or any info about content) just made me think that this shit is getting ridiculous. More and more games are doing this and when you think about it, they're asking for your money without giving you anything but a vague promise of rewards down the road. I have a strong feeling that the bubble is going to burst on this trend before too long.  I, for one, won't be sad to see it over with. I could go on and on with examples of underhanded dlc cash grabs but I won't because everyone already knows.  It's just pissing me off more and more lately. Thoughts?

Anime, TV, and Movies / The Walking Dead

I've been waiting for someone else to make a topic on this one but to my surprise no one has.  This series is easily my new favorite on the tube.  I'm enjoyng it just as much as the graphic novels for sure.  Maybe more.  It really sucks that there are only 2 or 3 episodes left in the season but at least the next one will have around 13. I find myself getting really stressed out watching it because the sense of urgency for the characters is amazing. In a time where Zombies are EVERYWHERE and it's getting very tiresome, it's nice to have a show like this bring back the fear.
