Single-Player RPGs / Tyranny
« on: December 03, 2016, 10:51:13 PM »
And one else playing this little gem of a game? This site just posted a review so I thought we should have a chat about it.

I love the game. It has its flaws but I'm enjoying it quite a lot. It is very much like a choose your own adventure game but in this case a choose your own evil game. Pretty fun if you like old school isometeric games.

Single-Player RPGs / Odin Sphere Leifthrasir

I am shocked that theres no topic about the Odin Sphere remaster. Its one of the sleeper hits on of the PS2 that came late like the persona games. I love Odin Sphere and I'm definitely getting Leifthrasir.

I can't be the only on here that remembers Odin Sphere, right?

Single-Player RPGs / Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth on PC

So I just got off steam Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1

I love it, its super cheesy but quite enjoyable. Best of all, you can get it during a steam sale where its well worth the price.

The battles seem to be seamless on the PC, I think the load times are less than on the Vita. They should be.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else was going to collect these games on the PC because now I am. lol

Single-Player RPGs / Final Fantasy 13 series on PC

I'm just wondering if anyone else is getting the FF13 series on PC. I've replayed FF13 on PC now twice, the game certainly lends itself to speed running. FF13 on steam is only $16 bucks. FF13-2 $20. I'd say regardless of how you feel about the flaws of FF13, $16 is a steal for the game.

FF13-2 is more interesting since its been a long while since I played a game that reminded me of Chrono Trigger. Its quite a lot of fun to run around collecting monsters and jumping to different time periods of the same area lends it self to replaying the game (you can do things out of order to get certain items, weapons, monsters quicker). I enjoy it a lot and if you do things out of order it does make the game more challenging.

Lighting Returns is coming out on PC this spring so I'm looking foward to it.

If only we could get more JRPG release on PC.

Single-Player RPGs / Deus Ex: Human Revolution Thread (merged)

My dream game is finally coming:

Deus Ex is one of my favorite games. And yes, you will be able to punch through walls to kill targets like in the trailer.

    list of argments
-Enhanced vision: See through walls, analyse structures for weak spots to smash through (so not all walls will be breakable, sadly)
-Mind reading: Hinted this is just during conversations, details still fuzzy.
-Mind control: Awesome. There will be social repurcussions for using this.
-Cloak: No mention of whether this affects bots, or if that's a separate aug.
    -Claymore: Multi-kill. Boo.
-"Icarus landing system": :Lets you drop from heights silently and safely, or if you hold the fire button, you slam into the ground and stun nearby enemies.
-Strength: As with Deus Ex, but also dampens recoil, and later on lets you punch through selected walls.
    -Wrist blades: We know.
-Hacking module: As expected, but one nice feature is you can set off alarms in remote areas to distract guards. Upgrades also make the minigame easier.
-Mysterious splayed hand: Still no details.
