Single-Player RPGs / Re: Persona 3 portable

The more I hear about this game, the more it depresses me; although that's mostly from the peanut gallery comments about "hoping Shinjiro lives in this version" and "If MShe doesn't have all lesbian relationships I won't play the game".

*facepalm*

It's like nobody actually understands why the original game was so good.

For many it was just a dungeon crawler with dating elements. All the dilemmas and emotional conflicts of the characters go straight to second term when you can "OMG TOTALLY DATE THAT CHARACTER AM GONNA WRITE A FANFIC WHERE THEY ALL GET PREGNANT!"

I genuinely would like to pick up the DQ DS games but I refuse to pay $50 for a DS cartridge.

($45 Canadian + tax)

Check the internets mah boi, on ebay you should find a good price.

So, does this mean that they might do the same to P4? I remember reading how the FES edition of P3 was the "last" one.

I'm not as excited about this as I would be for an Innocent Sin release.

That's likely never going to happen outside of the fan translation, but I *am* surprised they didn't go for a P2 EP re-release.

This just smells of money-grubbing.

I feel the same, don't get me wrong, i love P3 and played the hell out of the game. But going out to buy the same game once more just because of the gender change? I rather have a new gaming experience right now.

Well, a Castlevania game with bad music is non-existant. Our universe would explode if something like that happen.

Vagrant Story
A good story, well written characters, addictive gameplay, incredible soundtrack, detailed scenarios and the list goes on and on.

Final Fantasy VI
A unique set of characters, good gameplay, fantastic soundtrack and plenty of memorable moments.

Skies of Arcadia
Characters you can't help but to like, fun gameplay, rich and detailed world to explore.

Yes, the Asian version has both english subs and english text. That is why it is so weird that it hasn't already been brought over. If it's all done, what's the hold up?

Legal crap, or nocompany interested yet in bringing this over here.

So, is this game ever coming to america? Will i have to import the asian version? If the answer to the last question is yes, does the game features english subs and text?

I started with Nocturne, but i already knew about the existance of the franchise. I still have to finish Nocturne btw, i'm still with P3 and i have enjoy it a lot, while i liked Nocturne's dark end-of-the-world atmosphere and such i got hooked with P3 a lot more.

BTW, is it normal in the franchise to have enemies so damn cheap, or just a thing of P3? While i love the game it's quite frustrating to see the game over screen so often just because some enemy decided to use an attack that instantly kills my entire party like if it was nothing.

Beenfollowing this game for a while now, looks quite interesting, i also get this Vagrant Story vibe in the sense of the game being a dark dungeon crawling RPG adventure.

Just one question, what about the story? Is there any or just a basic premise of a big demon war and that's it?

What is it going for now? $120?

Konami must be blind, deaf and/or stupid. Atleast Squeenix noticed the whole Final Fantasy Tactics and Valkyrie Profile thing and took action (pushed games as a GH titles, ports). They've got a decent PSP port and a not so decent localisation lying around somewhere, so they should give us the damn game already. English PSP Suikoden II = Free money.

I heard the Suikoden I & II ports sold less than 25000 copies in Japan, but the situation in America and Europe is probably different. Also, it can't be much of a risk to release the game in English, since it's just a port.

In order for this to work, at least over here in America, SCEA needs to kill their godamn stupid, retarded and moronic policy of "NO IDENTICAL PORTS OF PSONE GAMES FOR THE PSP, DUHR DUHR" Thanks to this Breath of Fire 3 and Tales of Eternia just saw the light in Europe.
