World of Wonder Environment Footage

The environments are pretty, but to be honest the music for the trailer is so good I barely paid attention to what was going on on-screen.

Summer release date guys. I think the voices sound a little bit better in the new trailer too. Regardless, this looks pretty and I'm actually beginning to get excited.

This is looking great. I really really like the voice for Fidel. At this point I'm sold, and barring any horrendous reports on the game, I think I'll be picking this one up on release.

I really hope the flashback (I'm assuming) outfit is available to unlock in-game for Velvet; I really dig it. Especially her long hair all done up in a braid.

Trailer is live!

Looks very Zesty.  We know why her left hand is mummified...sorta.  60fps is nice, oh, and CLAW SWORD COMBO

I, for one, cannot wait for Tales of Bloodborne.

Beat Bloodborne. This game is the Lovecraftian horror game of my dreams. I got the "Secret" ending, and judging from what I've read about the other two, I would call it the best ending.

I had so much fun with this game, even if I have been playing at it in drips and drabs in the past few months. Can't wait for the DLC.

Remember this story a while back people:

They trademarked 3 names. The first of which turned out to be this game. Do we think either of the second 2 is also being made? Seems a bit weird to trademark something just out of sheer indecision.

They did pretty much exactly the same thing before announcing Zesteria

I remember when they registered Zestiria, they also registered Zestias. I'm still waiting for Tales of Zesty-ass to be announced.

I finished Season 6 of Community last night and I found it be very solid. Even with the cast changes, the show is self-aware and self-deprecating enough to draw a satisfying level of humor. No, I don't think it is as "fresh" as season 1-3, but I still think it's pretty great.

Regarding protagonist Fidel’s age: “It’s worth pointing out that Fidel, the protagonist, is 23 years old. Star Ocean fans are becoming adults and the type of people who own PS3s and PS4s are going to skew a little older, so we made Fidel as old as he is to better enable those players to more readily project themselves into him.”

Why do I suddenly feel old and creepy? I guess they don't coun't SO fans who started with the original games?

I feel ya there, I started with SO2 when I was like 11. I'm thinking that since they're using SO3 as a touchstone, and that game is 12 years old, and the targeted demographic was probably around 12-16, they're assuming the fans of SO3 are probably in their mid-late 20's. That being said, I am happy some JRPG developers are not afraid to have older (by JRPG standards) protags.

Also, I'm guessing the Event Scenes in the link Aeolus provided will be this iterations PAs.

My girlfriend and I started watching a new Netflix series called The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt last night. The premise is that the titular character was abducted by an insane cultist and held underground in a bunker against her will with three other women while the cultist guy lies to them that the world has ended. At the start of the series they're rescued, and Kimmy decides to make a go out of it NYC and try to find the life she has lost.

Sorry, that premise makes it sound dreary and serious, but it is actually a delightfully hilarious comedy. Kimmy is stuck in the 90s, and her clueless attitude toward modern life is constantly amusing, and she has a hilarious gay roommate that has had me laughing so hard that my sides hurt. Y'all should check it out if you need a laugh.

My bf got me into this show and it is amazing. I seriously lost my shit over the whole Daddy's Boy gag, and later video.

Speaking of clothes, I really like Fidel's outfit. It's sensible and not too flashy, but not boring either. It suffers a little from the whole "too many straps/belts" thing, but overall I'm quite fond of it.

This is a pipe dream, but I'm hoping for the return of Private Actions.

Star Ocean 4 still had PA's, they were in the form of the scenes you can witness while on the Calnus waiting for the next planet to load warp drive.

Very true, but I hated those PA's. Ideally, I would love PA's in the vein of SO2, but I'm not going to hold my breath on that one.

EDIT: But enough about those, I actually am pretty stoked. There's some nice set pieces in those scans, so I can't wait to explore some of those environments.

While I imagine the west will get a combo edition rather than the split edition(s), I'll still buy both versions if we get FE: WhiteGood and FE: BlackGoodButMisunderstood. My guess is the western release will be a combo pack regular release and a "collectors" release that comes with the third campaign as a DLC voucher or season pass or whatever.

Saw "It Follows" with the boyfriend. I loved it, he hated it. We will resolve this disagreement with our usual method: Pistols at dawn.
