So I got in a car crash last week on my way to work.  I'm fine, but my car is totaled, and now I'm in the overwhelmingly shitty process of buying another one.  I'm glad I had insurance, but all said and done I'll still be out a few thousand dollars at the end of this.  Of course this had to happen to the first car I ever purchased new, one that I've taken excellent care of.  The two beaters I drove previously never got a scratch on them.

I wish I could just teleport.

After waiting for an hour at a Wal Mart 45 minutes away from my house, I was able to get a SNES Classic!  I didn't assume I was going to get lucky with this so I'm pretty stoked.

Miller's is great! My sister used to live in Lancaster and she took us there one time when my wife and I visited her.

Shady Maple is also wonderful if you ever get a chance to go back that way.

I'm told The Amnish have great ingredients, although I'm not anywhere near the Amnish, so I'm out of luck there, not that I would want to support the Christian terrorist state in Pennsylvania at any rate...

The only terror here is mine in thinking that anyone would willingly pass up Amish food.  Those folks know their way around a kitchen.

My wife and I went to a beerfest at our local zoo yesterday, which was pretty awesome and fun, especially getting to see the animals with no kids around.

The resulting hangover has not been fun.  Me at 30 can't drink like me at 21, evidently.

XV and XII seem almost diametrically opposed with certain people, as I really like XV and consider XII completely unplayable. XIII also, but to a lesser extent.

I think if you don't count Tactics, then FFXV has made it into my top five main series FF games, surprisingly.  It certainly isn't perfect and I don't think they'll ever end up patching in everything I'd want from the game, but overall I had a nice experience with it and will likely replay once it stops getting updates.

My top five:
5.5. XV
5. Tictacs
4. X
2. IX
1. VII

I'm in a constant state of trying to stop being fat, and generally my daily menu reflects that both positively and negatively.

Breakfast: This is usually limited to what I have at work on weekdays, so it's typically either oatmeal, a poptart or peanut butter toast. Every once in a while I'll get a Chick-Fil-A breakfast burrito.  On the weekends I'll usually make whatever my wife wants, typically eggs and bacon. Every so often I'll make salted salmon with miso soup and rice.  Breakfast always includes 2.5 large cups of black coffee.

Lunch:  If it's the weekday and I'm biking at lunch, it's a yogurt and an orange, sometimes with a PB&J sandwich and sometimes without.  If I go out to eat it's usually Mexican food, sometimes Indian food.  I'll drink water unless I brought a sparkling water with me.  On the weekends breakfast and lunch end up being one meal because I sleep late, so I skip a traditional lunch.

Dinner: This changes depending upon what I have and what I feel like making that day.  I do a lot of Japanese-style stuff like oyakodon, curry, yakiudon.  I used to do more stir fry but the wok I used belonged to my housemate who moved out.  My wife and I enjoy seafood so I try to factor this in occasionally.  In the summer we grill a lot, and in the winter I do a lot of one-pot stuff like chicken matzo-ball soup, jambalaya and red beans and rice.  I don't really love red meat and tend to favor chicken, although on Monday I grilled steak with pepper/onion kebabs and potatoes.  We go out to eat usually once a week, but sometimes more if people ask us to or if I get lazy and don't want to cook.

I don't keep soda in the house so I don't generally drink it.  I have been buying a lot of sparkling water though, and we will have beer with dinner if we have any.  I try not to buy it often because then I won't have it around to drink.

I played a little bit of the beta, and I think the final thing should be a pretty fun time.  I like the way they've slightly differentiated the way your character plays from how Noctis does, and it's about time the game got some tie-ins to Kingsglaive.

The point is that, to a lot of people, McCain et al aren't "politician" or "greedy businessman", but "Dad, Brother, Uncle, Grandpa, childhood friend, etc".  This whole vilifying-real-humans-into-one-dimensional-mustache-twirlers thing is pretty low, by some measures.  Especially considering it's impossible to really know everything about a person.

That's a fair point, but I feel as though in the same way, these politicians are generalizing the American populace, which makes it easier for them to pass legislation that would condemn a lot of people to death.  With that in mind, I probably wouldn't intervene to save /any/ conservative politician if they were on fire.

I generally dislike MMO's, but I've been really aching for more of Eos, so I'm actually pretty excited for this.  Participating in the beta might make me feel like buying the season pass was worthwhile after all.

Also, I'd love for this to have local multiplayer so I could play with my wife, but I figure that's a pipe dream.

The guest on the most recent episode was a pleasant surprise and yall should bring him back more often!

It was great for me too ^^. I'm happy you enjoyed it as much as I did!

You, Rob and Derek always had a really fantastic dynamic, which is probably the main thing I enjoy in the podcasts I listen to.  Especially with video games as a topic, I feel like it helps the conversation flow more freely and promotes better discussion when the dynamic between the hosts is so good.

Games, because they have the potential to combine all the best aspects of traditional media together into one experience.  I'll miss books though. :(
