saving up my orbs for the surprise hero fest banner during golden week probs. I predict that one to be ridiculously good, if the other hero fests are anything to go by.

I'd hold onto the Soleil tbh. Firesweep S isn't really better than most of the legendary weapons and even then slaying edge tends to be the better option on those guys. Soleil merges, on the other hand, are pretty valuable as she's a red sword powerhouse.

F!Corrin is a pretty reasonable guess, but if the keychain silhouette is anything to go by it looks like F!Robin (although please no more Grimas, as strong as male robin is he's so boring with how blatantly overpowered armor skills are).

I'm just hoping that PA Azura is gonna be available again in the near future.

Darling in the Franxx (2-episodes, continuing):  *whistles*  Now that's good giant robot anime.

If Trigger/A1 handle this in the same way as KLK this is easily my AOTS lol, which is surprising given how good Violet Evergarden looked.

Also just binged through all of Land of the Lustrous and it's easily an 8-9/10. Probably one of the best shows of 2017.

So I basically blazed through all three main games of Danganronpa the past 3 weeks or so and I can't help but feel really disappointed at V3.

1 was great and set up an awesome premise with a pretty funny overall cast and some good mysteries to solve. The only real issues I had with 1 was how a lot of the cast were just stereotypical representations of their individual talents while barely developing past their tropes (bar like two characters near the end of the game).

2 is probably my favorite of the three because I think it improves upon 1 in almost every way possible. A lot of the characters are still tropey sure, but I think that at least this time around their talent/personality match made them much more interesting characters to talk to during FTEs. My only gripe here would be that there are too few FTEs throughout the main game to really get a good grasp on the cast overall and that the game does too little to bring out the more interesting side to the characters throughout the game in general. Not to mention that there are like 6 hidden scenes in the first half of the game which are all but impossible to view on your first playthrough because they're gated behind a slot machine/expensive vendor.

V3 just feels like it tapered off the moment its incredibly strong first act came to a close only to kick me in the face with its ending. The characters felt, even MORE, one dimensional than 1's cast and a lot of them couldn't even take a step outside of their individual gimmicks/catchphrases, which became especially annoying when they started clogging up the gameplay for no reason whatsoever. At this point, I was basically playing the game out of compulsion to finishing the series, but I was pretty firmly bored for about 24 hours of my 30-hour playthrough. The ending is another issue entirely that I feel was just really haphazardly written, but my meh attitude towards the game began long before I even approached the final chapter.

Man, just needed to get this off my chest lol.

Considering when I looked at my current queue with Re:ZERO (which I refuse to watch at this point)

gigguk's RE: Zero in 8 minutes is arguably his finest work

I personally don't know what to think about Re: Zero. Its like they have 3-4 atrocious episodes in a row and then they hit you with either a great great cliffhanger or a great episode.

Re:Zero is a pretty fun binge watch but watching it on a week by week basis was absolutely infuriating at times.

Still probably one of the better anime of 2016.

If facial animations is the dealbreaker here I have to wonder how anyone has ever finished a bioware game then.

Most of my friends who've played the early access have said it's basically just more Mass Effect. If you liked the og trilogy you'll probably like this one.

Unimpressive and generic so far? Sure. But assumptions have been proven wrong before , like with Konosuba that looked to be the most generic show of winter 2016 and turned out to be hysterical (technically not the same thing I know, but is relevant enough).

Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: The movie was better than the book. wut?

Re: Hunger Games, I found the movies to be OK. I don't remember too much, but I do remember feeling that they left out some pretty important details from the books in the movies. Not that I particularly liked the books after around the halfway point for Catching Fire, but the point still stands. Haven't even touched the Mockingjay movie, cause the book was enough of a hot mess as it was.

Otherwise,I found the Martian to be on par, if not better than the book. The book is pretty much a journal of Watney's ordeal, and while it is hilarious, I found it to get kinda boring to read after a while. The movie gave the story a more personality imo.

I'm honestly surprised that so many people seem surprised by the blandness.  Did they honestly believe that such a small team was going to be able to craft a world that size and still manage to make every bit of it unique an interesting?  This has always been the issue with procedural generation.  Have we forgotten Spore?

Oh well, hindsight is 20/20 of course and it's not like I was shitting on the game early on either (though part of that is just not wanting to rain on people's parades...) but I was always kind of skeptical about whether this game would be any fun.  It's still a cool technical achievement though.

Given that Sean Murray pretty much outright lied about a lot of game features, as well as playing on some premade build of the game made to wow people, the consumers aren't necessarily at fault here. Hello Games pulled just as much shtick to hype the game up, regardless of how unrealistic their goals were (E3 2014 footage is also still being used on the game's store page on steam which is miles different from what's actually ingame).

Not that anyone really cares about Bleach anymore, but it finally ended this past week. The ending was just as bad as the series itself has been for years. I'll always remember everything up until about midway through the Aizen arc fondly, but that means that over half of the series' publication history has been downright bad. I'm glad it has finally been put out of its misery. And to think, I used to wish that the author would try Zombie Powder again after he finished Bleach. Definitely don't wish that anymore.

Yeah, I haven't read the manga but from what I've watched, everything till the end of soul society was pretty good, and then it kinda went to shit lol.

I hear the manga is just as bad with all the random-ass power ups and complete fuckery of logic.

Blazed through all of Claymore (manga) and I'm kinda disappointed at how they went from being pretty non-shoneny gripping story with very berserk-esque elements (but unique enough in its own rights), to full on shonen tropes galore in the last quarter or so. At least the art design was consistently great throughout.

As fun as the game is right now, Blizzard really needs to step up their balancing game as it's a freakin train wreck.
