Single-Player RPGs / Re: Suikoden 6, Breath of Fire 6, and Wild Arms 6...

I'd be all over all three of these.

Also, I think both Wild Arms and Suikoden came back really strong with WA5 and Suikoden 5, they were both fantastic to me, for a while I'd hoped that was a sign both series were making a comeback coming off such great installments. :(

Those soundtrack samples in the second video clip from the 27th of last month were awesome!

I really hope we can get this game in the US too since they've talked about the possibility already.

*picks jaw up off the floor*

Yeah, sooo can't wait for this! :)  Already got my import pre-ordered, now it's just the wait.

I still can't get over how incredibly stupid Joshua's hair looks.

Gotta love the audience's reaction towards Kouta, Cybuster and SRX. The oldies still rock the most.

Noticed that too during the show, one after the other the cheers building up with each one, it was great.

Bamp for Great Justice! and a new trailer....

Man this looks so good.  Totally importing yet another SRW game for this.

GOTY 2010. Can. Not. Wait.

And Yoko Shimomura herself is doing the OST. It will be godlike.

Totally agree!

Hell yes, Yggdrasil, the wait's getting even harder now that we've got that sweet trailer of Aya/PE goodness.
Been way too long since the last one.

Web is up with trailer:

Thanks! Awesome trailer, looks great and fantastic music, especially the melody at that overworld part.  Loving the "adventuring" feel.

Ninokuni was beautiful before, but imagining it in 1080 makes my mouth water.

Yeah, I was hoping for this ever since the idea of the game was first announced!

Awesome! Versus news too, plus scans of 3rd Birthday (gorgeous) and a quick mention of Agito, best day in ages!

Sounds excellent.

Looks like the potentially awesome upcoming DS "Ghibli RPG," Ninokuni: The Another World will also be coming to PS3 with obviously upgraded HD graphics.

Sweet, my money is yours Level 5!
Day one!

Famitsu scan link from one of several articles covering the story.

Looks like the PS3 continues to pick up steam with RPGs.

Siliconera has posted a huge batch of new pics.  The game looks lovely.

Thanks for the better copies of these pics, looks beautiful.  The upgrade to the character graphics looking much more like Kishida Mel's art is fantastic, and I actually like the improved but still simple charming backgrounds like in screen 1, or the snow in screen 8, or the overall view with the nice cloudy sky in pics 10, 20.  There are also some nice pictures, like this one, of the outside of some of the town buildings that look really nice too. The newly improved character models look really nice in battle too now in these pictures.

It wouldn't shock me if some who don't know the series might complain but overall look is nice and seeing the portraits and stuff in HD, and now the new character models that look a lot like the art give it plenty of PS3 gains IMO.

Kos-Mos: Our soundtracks head has not been able to find an OST for Crimson Gem Saga, and he's ace at finding stuff.  This leads me to believe that one may not have even been released.  Too bad, because the music is good.

Thanks for the info, I didn't think so.  Yeah, it's a shame it didn't get one.

The Atlus USA version as usual from them has a great translation, and there's a lot of fun dialogue with a nice English voice cast so far.  Loved Spinel and her voice actress right from the start lol.

Story spoiler for first section of the game (edited for multiple lines for a somewhat easier read in the code tag):
Code: [Select]
You first come across her being threatened by people she apparently left behind
to get arrested, easy to guess how that might have played out after this event lol.
She notices Killian coming along so she pretends to be in real trouble despite being rather
capable at combat in reality, convincing Killian she's helpless.  Once successfully
manipulated and provoked he proceeds to "save" her and then she promptly
steals his wallet picking his pocket right there on the spot.  Her voice during the
scene was great and Killian's voiced line after she's already gone when he realizes she stole
it right after he thought he just saved her was a great introduction for their first meeting lol.

Good highly polished old-school RPG fun with fun characters (and artwork and character designs as others have said before) and their dialogue, and a nice soundtrack.

There hasn't been a separate soundtrack released for this game even in Japan so far, right?

Actually all the voices are in English. The instruction booklet and in-game menus are Japanese, but I haven't heard one Japanese voice in the game. It's kind of weird. It's mostly localized but there isn't even a release date yet for the west.

Plus as said before how all of the written stuff and in-game menus are supposedly already in English (as one of several choices) for the upcoming Asian version at the end of this month.

So I really hope we get a date soon for this, hopefully after the Killzone 2, SFIV, RE5 February/March rush we'll start to hear about this game making it's way over since it looks like it's pretty much in English other than the manual.  I wasn't sure from just the initial trailer but the more recent trailers, captured gameplay videos that have been popping up and screenshots have gotten me interested especially with the mood and design work shown off not to mention some of those massive bosses shown in the trailers.

Edited:  Oops someone already mentioned the Asian version earlier
