Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (another classic more people should play)

On another note, I'm surprised that I'm still the only person in this thread who mentioned Planescape: Torment.  I know I'm not the only one who played it.

I think thats a sign your old. :P But I'm an old fart as well so I remember the game. However, I didn't mention it because I think its dated. And I don't find it as fun to play as newer games.

Pet Peeves

1) Very slow starts where you can go several hours before getting any action at all. Looking at you, persona series

2) excessive grind - e.g. - Tales of Beseria where I want skip fights because there reward is low and theres SO MANY of them. At least there are no random battles so I often can skip them.

3) tedious crafting/upgrade system. Sigh, once again Tales of Beseria.

A whole lot of olf JRPGs being listed. My list is probably a bit different

In no particular order (because I'm terrible at ranking stuff I love):

Nier Automata
Witcher 3
Mass Effect 2
Deus EX (the original)
Baldur's Gate 2
Knights of the old republic
Tyranny (not enough people know about this little gem)
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (another classic more people should play)
Final Fantasy XIII (No seriously, I love this game and its characters lol So what if its super linear? I had a ton of fun playing this game)

I'm sure that last one will cause big disagreements. lol

Tyranny =P

I'll second this. While it has its own flaws, Tyranny was more enjoyable than either of those games.

I liked Reconguista in G. It wasn't that confusing. The animation style was pretty and I enjoyed the story. I've seen worst from the Gundam franchise.

But what one thinks of the animes included doesn't really matter. SRW is all about the Mecha and Code Geas R2 and Reconguista in G have awesome mecha designs

The game is designed around only needing one party. The gathering skills (Chop, Mine, Take) only need 1 skill point to max out now. More important is to build a balanced party.  Dragoon, Pugilist, Masurao, Warlock, Botanist makes for a standard and balanced team that can beat the whole game.

This has tips to beat the final boss:

I have the n3ds version and I love the game. Its a ton of fun. It gets quite hectic handling multiple objectives at once and the weapon triangle adds depth to the standard dynasty warrior gameplay.

Yeah, I too have a habit of buying games way out of date as well. I'd rather buy a game and all DLC for $40 (like I'm going to do soon for the witcher 3) then buy any game at launch. Besides, theres always a never ending backlog of games for me to play. Not much free time as an adult. Much sad. And kids want to grow up fast, lol.

Funny that theres more people like me than I thought. lol

I'm playing Tales of Beseria for the first time right now. I have no idea why I didn't get this sooner. ITS AWESOME! The combat is a lot of fun and the OST sounds great.

Straight out of 80s anime.

You call us crazy, and yet you say that like it's a bad thing. Pot, meet Kettle. Kettle, lay off the pot. It's really starting to negatively affect your life's decisions and ability to decern quality character designs.

No, those character designs were horrid. :P My opinion and aesthetic tastes are beyond question. ALL HAIL ME! (Joking)

As for Sona, I'm ok with a support mage focused on Rewarp and Entrap over doing damage. Such utility spells can certainly be useful.

I'm very happy Celica is getting the OP Ragnarok as a skill. Lord's should be powerhouses like Hector, not wimps you hide from combat like Roy.

Falcon Knights will still be useful for their high speed, carrying units, and the monster bonus damage should still be good.

Also, apparently the Character Ages aren't just for flavor text anymore as some Provisions are unsuitable for minors.

lol, thats a cute touch.

Turns out they are looking to correct some facial animations problems with the next patch. We'll have to wait till the patch comes out to see how much of an improvement there is. Also, they are increasing inventory space and adding the option to skip the space exploration cutscenes. OH THANK GOD FOR BOTH. We still need a party chest to store items. I have no idea why Bioware doesn't make a party chest a standard item in all their games in the first place. They are always having to add them in a patch after fan complaining.

You guys are crazy. Those old school designs are SO dated they are painful to look at. Straight out of 80s anime.

I really like the new designs and I'm excited to play with range 3-5 archers. I wish that stayed in the series. Funny how the 3DS fire emblem games have all improved archers in their own way.
