Me too. It's weird getting used to no Tennant, but I think this guy's doin' fine and has potential. The new Tardis and screwdriver are spiffy.

Wow, those covers are gorgeous! The only SaGa games I've played are the two Frontiers and Romancing SaGa PS2 remake, didn't know he was the artist for the other games in the series. Why is he not more famous?! Or maybe he is and I'm ignorant.. :P

Different character designers, but they share the same Art Director. I only know Nobuteru Yuuki's name, the Escaflowne guy. I suck at Japanese names.

 
Yeah, a used copy is about 50 bucks on Amazon, while the system itself's about 15 dollars cheaper last I checked... anyway I like being able to bypass having another system to hook up once, and then box up for the most part. I've pretty much been able to retire my SNES, thanks to picking up stuff on the VC like this.
 
 Though I did recently buy a Sega CD just to play the original Lunars... :P 
Course there are probably at least two or three more games worth finding besides those two to justify it. With the N64, Ogre Battle would've been it, since I have that Zelda compilation disc for the GC.

 Anyway, I was wondering.. is Quest still a team, or did S-E just buy all the rights to their stuff? Will we possibly be getting more Ogre Battle or Tactics Ogre games?

I don't have anything against Gust, I actually liked the rest of the designs in Atelier Iris: EM, and the art's fine... just Klein's design in particular is what I don't like. And yeah, I give ya that the Glory of Heracles fairies are awful looking.
   
Oh and I agree, Takehiko Inoue's work on LO was awesome! I forgot that one. He's my favorite manga artist, Vagabond is all kinds of greatness.

Must buy for me! This one of the main games I considered tracking down a Nintendo 64 for.

I really love the Drakengard art. The game's not that great, but I'm a big fan of the designs.

 A kinda recent release I thought had good character design was  Glory of Heracles
   

 And the only one I hate that I can think of right now is this dude.
 
 Klein, Atelier Iris I thought his design was distractingly bad.
 
Oh, and whoever the 'other' Tales artist is... Pretty much dislike those designs across the board. The clothes particularly.

Yeah.. Caina was a dude in the JP version, in love with Vinsfeld. I don't know if it was mutual, though..

I'm really enjoying the game now, I'm in Chapter 9.. Sazh has consistently been my favorite character and the last chapter really had me invested... One thing I'm actually enjoying is the switching back and forth between teams. Reminds me of FFVI.

  Anyway, I was bein a dork, lookin around on XIII's IMDB page, to check out the VAs, and I noticed that Cid's VA is listed as Cid again in FF Versus XIII. Maqui is listed as well. I thought the games' settings were unrelated? Or did I just assume that? I haven't really been keeping up with Versus news, so I could be getting that wrong.

 EDIT: Just realized.. they have Versus listed as a 2009 game, so this could just be an error.

 
Okay, true. It was better written than all the hero talk from Snow and his crew anyway. It just cracked me up.
 
I'm enjoying it alot more now, I hafta agree with everybody who said it gets much better after around the two hour mark. As soon as they added the paradigm element to battle, I was suddenly having fun, like I'm sposed to. The only things keeping me going before were the gorgeous visuals and MUSIC. THE MUSIC.  
  
 As for the characters.. sadly, the only dude who doesn't bother me is Sazh. Hope and Snow are annoying and idiotic so far. Vanille's VA isn't the greatest, but she doesn't bother me as much as those two. Lightning is cool.
 
 Oh and Snow's friends' designs are atrocious, especially that blue haired kid, I hope I never have to see them again...
