Not to plug the rival's site, but RPGamer has a nice, insanely huge version of that cover for those that care to see it in more detail then they'll get with the actual case. :P

The portraits, or portrait rather, look great - the rest looks like the filter you described.

Picked up American Gods, this time bought rather than borrowed from the library. I'll read either this or Heretics of Dune sometime, and probably one of the short stories in Smokes and Mirrors - disappointed in myself on holding off on that, since part of the reason I got it was so I'd have some good short stories to quickly blow through when I feel like it.

Man, I ignored that too. I suck. :P

To be fair, that URL has scans. Could've included RPGFan's link to be courteous though.

Edit: Or linking the RPGFan story then finding some other place with scans where I can actually see shit on. Didn't notice I couldn't click on those until I posted. Impulsive posting rules.

Edit 2: Hey look, I found decent sized scans!

Googled it. Was expecting an X360 game, but it's just an XBox title. Why the hell wasn't this brought out? It's so stupid it's awesome.

Read the interview, skipped the movies - I really don't want to watch what amounts to the entire game being played before I actually get it, that just kills the joy in actually playing it.

The interview was a pretty good read though, thanks for sharing that. I'm somewhat bugged by the implications made about 2D, such as it being '16 bit'. But I suppose I have to admit that without a good enough resolution, even the best 2D will only look like just a step above 16 bit graphics.

As for Famitsu's scores: I take a good score as a positive sign, but not what I'll base my purchasing decisions on. They've been shown to often disagree strongly with the concensus over here, and there's the issue of whether they're paid or not for positive reviews.

Amusing. But I hate those sites, espicially when they redirect, like the one time I typoed Games Are Fun's URL. Google's more reliable then typing in the raw URL, I swear.

Official site is up, it really does look like a cheap port.

Further emphasizing my point. But the big fans here care enough that they'll rebuy it it seems. If I couldn't find my copy, I'd gladly go fuck it and just pick this up. But I found it, so I'm apathetic to a US release.

If Atlus or whoever brings this over though, I swear to god that mage better have a better voice actress. Completely unfitting given the way she acted.

... Sigh. It's harder to defend how to find a way to ensure those are perfectly safe. And they're probably even more harmed: It's no big deal for some bottled water to be stored on an airplane to quench thirst. But half of what makes those things great is that it lets us do stuff like gaming, listening to music, or just getting some work done on the plane. We'll just revert back to books and stuff, which is good. But then we'll find out that... I dunno. Some asshole can threaten the pilot with paper cuts and we lose those too.

Regardless, I'm happy with this policy change. I hope it's set in stone, since, as they say - safety first.

... I'd rather not. Loopholes can be found in everything. If they can find a way to detect them, or allow only sealed ones, like cans of soda or unopened drink bottles, but not opened stuff or easily tampered with containers, such as coffee cups. Plus perhaps they can create detectors for this crap.

If everything that's remotely a threat is eliminated, eventually airplanes would be restricted exclusively to those on business and the like. Then we'd just see terrorism on buses and trains.

Luckily it kind of looks like the lock-on targeting system is still there (I can't tell for sure) because I liked it. The lack of being able to lock-on to an enemy in Metroid Prime: Hunters is what killed the game for me because the stylus just didn't get the job done. I do think using the Wiimote will be a much better option than the stylus, but the lock-on is something I hope reappears.

Yes, but enemies will apparantly be able to easily break it now. So you're going to be screwed into having to point around sometimes. But I think the Wiimote will probably work better then some stylus.

Only reason I'd say that inclusion of sonic is a good idea is for the PSP version. I haven't played portable Sonic 3 since I owned a Nomad.

Well, you got me there. Portable Sonic /would/ be pretty damn nice.

Lack of Sonic 3, one of the best games ever created, makes me very sad. Also the lack of Streets of Rage.

I think including the Sonic games period is ludicrous, as they kinda already have a collection on that system.

Lack of SoR sucks though.

Edit: Actually, being on another collection technically counts for Flicky, Ristar, Comix Zone, and Vectorman 1/2. Difference being that I don't have to go through the trouble of unlocking them on this collection, so they're good in my book.

Better safe than sorry, I guess. Still though, I don't like the idea that even /liquids/ are banned, but I can't really argue for anything beyond something like installing vending machines on a plane, and it honestly doesn't affect me directly anyway since I don't fly in airplanes much, not to mention it's probably a temporary measure.

Still though, the end of the days of 'carry on baggage' worries me. Always takes a few pricks to ruin it for millions and billions of innocent people.

Edit: Deleted part of the first bit since I wrote about half of this before /reading/ the article. I think possibly not being able to take on carry on baggage anymore = loss of freedom.
