Huh, I actually enjoyed Strider a lot when I switched to that, so I'm not sure how much good a fighter would do. The game does seem to have something of a soft lock on by the way.
And you can freely change vocations at Gran Soren, so once you get over there you can go experiment with the other vocations.

According to Mato's blog its just the original SNES game slapped onto the VC. Small question...Why isn't it being put on 3DS VC? Plan on getting one soon, and this would be fantastic.
Every damn time... There's no SNES support on 3DS VC, so far at least. It's that simple, and it's the question you should really be asking because they won't make an exception just for Earthbound.

Bumping because the Dark Arisen expansion is out. I've purchased the expansion on PS3 for the sole purpose of not only replaying the entirety of the game for a third time, but to have 100% completion on both Xbox 360 and PS3. If you want to rent my pawn, add Meicyn on PSN, or if you don't like me but want to use my pawn, search for my pawn also named Meicyn. He wrecks shit pretty effectively.
For those that are not aware, Dark Arisen is basically Dragon's Dogma - Game of the Year Edition, featuring the original game, all the DLC that was released for the core game, plus a brand new dungeon that adds about 20 hours of gameplay to an already large game.
Action-RPG combat system of the generation, easily. Nothing is more satisfying than successfully landing Mighty Bend into a cyclops' eye - that's when you know you're a pro.
Is it true this adds some semblance of a fast travel? Here's how it worked originally: - You had Ferrystones, which would transport you to port crystals but costed a lot (base price of 10,000 or 20,000 as I recall, though items and favor can lower prices with those that sell them.) - You had port crystals which you could place somewhere, warp to, then pick up and put elsewhere, but there's only 1 until you beat the game, then NG+ (I think) gets 10 more. Now, here's how it is: - If you're carrying a DD save you'll get the Eternal Ferrystone. If you don't have a save, you can at least buy the Ferrystones at a greatly reduced price, 5,000 as the base price I believe, but I have it so I can buy them for 1,000. IMO this is very acceptable as it gives some weight to them so you don't use them casually, but they're not so expensive you're choosing between a one time warp or upgrading a good chunk of your gear. If you really want the Eternal Ferrystone just borrow a copy or whatever. - There's now another permanent port crystal at the village you start the game at, and there's far more port crystals scattered throughout the world before NG+, something like 6 now I think. If you're hoping for Skyrim fast travel you're not going to get it, but I think what's offered now should be more than enough if you're willing to travel at least a little.

He MIGHT have had a point about the face until you remember that's kind of how a lot of anime faces can be, she's actually leaning a bit towards the mature side relative to some.
And the more I think about it Dragon's Crown is a really, REALLY bad target for this. I've stated this elsewhere, but it'd seem more appropriate to target something that's actually trying to have a more mature aesthetic to it and wants to be taken seriously, yet throws women in armor that leaves them exposed in dumb places, or (notably unlike this game) doesn't really have variety in body builds even when it'd make more sense, like a lot of MMOs as I've seen pointed out. The armor shown for the female lead in Divinity: Original Sin at the start of the Kickstarter's a better example to target: this aims to be an RPG with a well developed world, stronger narrative focus (or so it seems), and with more realistic designs, yet you put her in something that barely protects her torso? It sticks out really badly.

This needs to be brought up too.I think he's generally right, it's just Dragon's Crown might not have been the best choice given it kind of comes off as a teenage fantasy nerd's dream beat-em up anyway. I'd personally worry more about works actively trying to come off as mature that still have that kind of design. EDIT: Though in a way it's probably still better than some examples. Almost everything's exaggerated, and the main problem is JUST the sorceress, the amazon's way more buff than most designs meant to titillate and the elf ranger's actually the most normal design in the game.

A jacket made out of cardboard. Amazon shipping boxes to be precise.
... I'm not sure whether that's an amazing pre-order bonus outfit, or the worst I've ever seen.

Japan does it all the time, I know Pizza Hut flirted their way into Monster Hunter.
If a Monster Hunter let me grill a Pizza over a fire similar to how you grill meat in that game I'd kind of want to import just to do that. Anyways, this is just cosmetic DLC, right? Vaguely exasperating, but I'd rather have stuff like this than, say, a unique character, weapon, or stage exclusive to people who pre-order at the "right place." And I'd protest just by refusing that offer and sticking with someone else, I've done it more than a few times with Amazon pre-orders over GameStop.

Ideally they'd at least release it at the same time as Europe, but I guess Nintendo doesn't feel that's a good idea. It'd probably also help if SE jumped on localizing ASAP rather than seemingly leaving Nintendo to pick it up (or is it just distribution?)
