finished The Walking Dead Episode 2. Damn, that was fucked up.
Back to Witcher 2 until I DL the next Ep. I'm trying to wait a week in between each Ep., but I totally just want to keep playing. We'll see.

Same question as before: what decisions did you make?

I gave food to Duck, Mark, Larry and Clem. I played neutral between Lilly and Kenny until I was forced to choose, and then I sided with Lilly. The first time I played the episode I killed Danny but not Andy, but the second time (since the game didnt keep my save for some reason), I didn't kill either brother. Also, I didn't raid the car at the end of the episode.

Wow. This is just another reason i would get a Vita....if it were to get localized. I have a few games on my list that, if they were announced here, i would immediately buy a Vita. Here's hoping. *crosses fingers*

I'm with you on this. If there's any news of a localization, then that'll be the motivation for me to get a Vita. Those screens are amazing, damn.

Any word if this is an eroge at all? I know the original was, but Type-Moon's last release was all-ages, so I'm wondering if they've forgone the need to include erotic content in this remake, since they have brand power in the VN community at this point.

A Star Ocean 2 full-blown remake with SO4's battle system, which I was quite partial to.

I'd love for a Vita compilation of the original .hack quadrilogy, as well as Arc the Lad 1 & 2. Perhaps just combine 1 and 2 and make it just one seamless game.

And I don't care what anyone else says, I'd love a Baldur's Gate remake. Both 1 AND 2. I'd still want it to be isometric, but with updated graphics and perhaps added features.

SaGa Frontier 3DS remake. Re-implemented Fuse quest. Re-add Blue's original ending. Plus some new (character unique?) sidequests to make up for the other cut content (which really needed to have been cut, judging by the Ultimania guide).

I agree with Mesh's suggestion as well. A SaGa Frontier remake would be wonderful for a handheld.

Took down AssCreed 2. Started it over the summer and ended up finishing it this past week. Really fun game, and free running is my fav activity ever. Huge info dump there at the end, but I kinda expected most of it, what from the hints and some spoilers I read. The last sequence with Desmond was pretty dope though; I hope there'll be more of that in the future.

Played through The Walking Dead Episode 1. Wow. This game is fantastic. The characters. The situations. The decisions! I love it. I need to DL Ep. 2 asap.

Grim, what kind of decisions did you make in Ep. 1?

I saved Carley and stood up to Larry to get him to back down, but didnt fight him. Also, I saved Duck when the Walkers attacked Hershel's farm.

Just beat Persona 4. It took me 4 years and 2 1/2 tries, but I have finally conquered it. There's nothing that I can say that hasn't already been said. In sum, I loved it, fantastic game, can't wait for the next entry. I was lvl 84 with 102 hours in.

Walking Dead Episode 3

Now that school's done for the semester, I got some catching up to do. Decided to do play some Walking Dead, only to find that my save for episode 2 didn't take, and I had to replay the whole episode. That wasn't too bad, and I got to re-do one of the decisions I wasn't happy with (I feel it was my prerogative since the game didn't keep my save.) Episode 3 is just as nuts, and there was one scene where my jaw literally dropped. My opinion about some of the characters has completely been turned on its head. The episode was so intense that I have to sit back and let it all soak in. Very emotionally powerful.

Not a funny quote, but one of my favs comes from Joey Comeau and Emily Horne of A Softer World

"I have a two part question. 1. What would you do if you were going to die? And 2. How did you ever convince yourself you weren't?"
430  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Dragon Age Three (3) on: December 05, 2012, 09:55:28 PM
A tight-knit genre? That's stupid. Apparently the zillion subgenres of RPG don't count.

Actually you can easily ignore a game like Skyrim. Especially since the core design philosophy behind DA is completely different from TES. I'll take a more narrow slice of 'content' with more carefully designed gameplay over 'here, have a shitload of mediocre randomness.'

Unless your owner says your game must sell a bazillion copies, so make it like Skyrim,' there's no reason to homogenize.

Also, Skyrim wasn't a new direction. Unless you count selling way more than its predecessors despite being the same basic game' as a new direction. Which is exactly what he's saying, in PR speak.

Couldn't agree more.  Personally I've never really liked Bethesda's RPGs and it's sad to see Bioware being so insecure about their own legacy.  They have been responsible for some really great games (including the original Dragon Age) that are in a completely different style than Bethesda.  A style I actually like.

I can only pray that this is just PR speak and they're not actually abandoning the things used to make them great...

I also agree. I loved Skyrim, but I also loved Dragon Age (both games), and I play them both for different game experiences. As much as I loved Skyrim/Fallout, I can only take so much of their open-world game formula.

Crazy excited for this now. The videos and screenshots look great, and the DLC actually looks pretty decent.

Stage Map Pack A -- $1.99: Requiem for War and Liquid Fire stages for The Mercenaries.

Didn't knew there was more DLC for RE6 coming, at least is not terribly expensive or anything.

Edit: And more DLC announced...

That Predator mode sounds amazing. Can't wait!

So, I finished Kurozuka and I kinda gotta say...huh? But, having said that in a weird way I enjoyed the show. Popped in BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad and after 6 episodes I am really digging this show, we'll see how it goes I guess.

I fucking loved BECK. I've lost 90% of the patience I had with anime since graduating high school (a personal taste issue, not trying to insinuate anything),  but BECK was able to hold my attention through all the episodes when I watched it last summer. And I loved the dub; I think Greg Ayers did a fantastic job with the singing.
