What would Kent's campus have that OSU's wouldn't..?

Shit, my bad, I didn't realize how misleading my message sounded. Sorry for the vagueness.

Mentioning Kent was in reference to my Library Science suggestion, since Kent is the only ALA accredited school in Ohio that offers a Masters in Library and Information Science, and that they have a campus in Columbus.

Although I haven't played a MGS since 2, I may have to now.

Also: Damn, Snake is hawt in that poster in the OP.

I have a degree in CS and I work as a software tester. I don't like my job and want to find a new job. The problem is that I sort of hate the direction the IT industry as a whole is going in and really, really don't want to do IT work. I'm only really qualified TO do IT work, though.

What the fuck do I do?

Go into Library Science? It's somewhat related, but may be different enough for you to stomach. Kent has a campus in Columbus as well, if that helps.

I've recently gotten really heavy into Rift, and I really enjoyed what they showed about their new expansion at PAX. All the news about it was really positive, IMO.

This was after the event, by the way. I wasn't there, although I'd love to go sometime.

And now the waterfall angel mission. Just what exactly hurts her?

Best bet is probably gonna be leona and iirc, weapon damage +3 is extremely effective

If you can get your hands on it, cycle up and the double attack gem are also good choices on top of Weapon Damage +3.

Bytor where do you live? That generic ass stripmall looks familiar.

BTW have some quasi-rural Ohio:

Now that's just cruel. Mr and Mrs. Patient should have thought better than to name their daughter Hysterectomy.

Breaking Bad

A good friend of mine said that Walt is the Light Yagami of Breaking Bad. After this episode, I totally agree with him. The villain of the last season of Breaking Bad is Walt.

Aint no party like a Corpse Party, cause Corpse Party is pretty fuckin' scary!

But yeah, it's mostly a VN with some light adventure game elements, and if you like horror games, this one delivers.

Maybe they'll just stop making new numbered titles and just keep making direct XIII sequels. Then when they get to XIII-XIII you'll play as the Munsters.

I even got your battle theme right here!

Walking Dead Ep. 1 & 2.

Pretty fuckin' good. Them choices man, them choices. I thought ep. 1's was hard, but ep. 2's put ep. 1's to shame.

I liked Kenny up until I sided with Lilly regarding Larry in the meat locker, and Kenny suddenly pissed. I understand where he's coming from for wanting to kill Larry, but he up and left me to die when the dude with the gun was gonna kill Lee. Fuck that fucker. I didn't like Larry either, he was a huge d-bag, but now I feel betrayed.

Went CD shopping. Got copies of XTC - The Big Express, XTC - English Settlement, and Spiritualized - Ladies and Gentlemen we are Floating in Space.

P. thrilled.

--- Also ---

(Goddammit This World Over sounds like the Dark Omen theme quite a lot)...

Anyway, was reading an article about game stereotypes the other and they mentioned one that really annoyed me: Games are okay with homosexual characters as long as they're lesbians, but gay males are never present.

Let's think of examples that break this trend.

Ultima 6, 7 - No actual romance in these (you can sort of romance a woman in U7, a little). However, you do meet gypsies in U6 that you get to bang in exchange for a map piece. And you can pick either the male or female gypsy, no matter what your gender is. In U7, you also encounter a brothel where you can have relationships with prostitutes of either gender.

Also the prostitutes in U7 aren't portrayed as horrible degenerates or anything, which is sort of important considering it's not an actual gay romance subplot.

Wild Arms 2- Sort of on the fence about this one, since the US version was censored to make this less clear. I think it's pretty clear that Brad swings both ways, though -- and he isn't stereotypically gay at all which is great.

Innocent Sin - You could date that one guy. I never played this game much. Sorry.

IIRC Fable and the Sims both allow same-sex relationships for males.

This is seriously all I'm coming up with.

As long as TvTropes doesn't make you implode, like it does for me sometimes:

Have you seen the Kurosawa classics?

Rashomon is one of my favorites.

Rashomon is fucking fantastic. I also liked the other two Kurosawa films I saw: Yojimbo and Sanjuro.

I've been reading the Walking Dead recently, and it put me on a major zombie kick, so I bought Romero's Dawn and Day of the Dead, and also the Night remake done by Tom Savini and the Dawn remake. The Night remake was my first zombie movie, so it holds a special place in my heart, and while it's still a good film, I think I was remembering it with rose-tinted glasses. The characters are certainly more likable (Barbara) than the original, but it loses the theme of racism with the modern translation. Also there was some unnecessary cheesecake that just didn't fit with the movie at all.

Dawn (original) is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I could watch it every damn day. Love love love love love this movie, and it still holds up, blue zombies and all.

I didn't like the original Day when I saw it years ago, but it has grown on me. It has some of the best-looking zombies I've ever seen, and that's no surprise, since Tom Savini is an FX master. Now that I've seen it about 3 times, I can safely say it is one hell of a good zombie movie, even if the middle parts drag and the whole Bub storyline is a bit hokey.

Haven't watched the Dawn remake yet, but I have seen it, just been a while. I imagine I'll still like it, and try to overlook the irritating bits that I blame on Zack Snyder.

Ender's Game.

Despite my misgivings of Orson Scott Card's views, this book was pretty damn fantastic. I don't really care for child characters, but everything about Ender and the world he inhabited was fascinating. Not hard sci-fi, and really, the sci-fi was second to the human drama centered around war (both on global and personal levels) and what costs were we willing to pay in order to win war.

Yep. Skylar is a really good character in my opinion, bad things are constantly happening in her peripheral vision that she is trying to make sense of, but no one will help her or point her in the right direction. While the things she does might seem petty to US, well, that's because we know things she doesn't. We know Walt is doing all this for his family, but what does Skylar have to go on? Secrecy, lies, silence.

Kinda like with most of the AMC wives. Don philanders and makes kick-ass speeches that sell advertising, Rick fights zombies and tries to help people survive in a zombie apocalypse, and Walt is trying to help his family. I don't think it's a coincidence that the wives for these respective men are typically disliked/hated.

Alan Sepinwall, in a review for a Mad Men episode, explains that Betty gets a lot of hate because she doesn't have a place outside of the home where she can redeem herself, since the show is mostly about Don. Don, of course, has the ad agency. I think the same can be said for Lori and Skylar: they don't have an arena outside of the home/group that allows them to be more than a "nuisance" to their hard-working husbands.

Of course Betty being a bad mother is her own fault.

I'm watching Breaking Bad, Im just at the start of Season 2.

But I don't hate Skylar. I TOTALLY get her. She knows her husband so well to know that he is lying to her on a daily basis, but he won't admit what it is and it makes her feel alone. She went off on a rant one episode about how her husband has cancer, doesnt talk to her, her sons a teenager who wont give her the time of day, shes in debt and shes pregnant, also her sister is mental.

What do people want? Her to just be happy about all that, ignore it? She's super frustrated and can't figure out what to do, everyones locked her out. Her lifes fallen to bits. I think she acts totally human.

This. I did not like Skylar at first, but like you Star, I grew to understand her point of view. BB is amazing because of how multifaceted the characters are. You find you love the ones your hated and hate the ones you love. Honestly, I think BB is the best show out right now.
