God Breaking Bad is so fucking good this season.

Code:
My feelings about Walt are constantly changing based on the situation. I love it when him and Jesse are cooking, but I hate how he is essentially terrorizing Skyler. He HAS to know what he's doing to her, because he doesn't even TRY to figure out why she had a breakdown. Also LOL at Mike's comment, "Just because you shot Jessie James, does not make you Jessie James." Fits Walt to a T.

He knew why she had a breakdown. This season is phenomenal. Mike is fantastic. How about Skinny Pete playing piano?! BB is making a serious run at topping The Wire for my favoritest show ever.

Code:
Skinny Pete is amazing, and of course he's crazy talented with a piano, yet he makes his living looking for scraps of work from Jesse. Him and Badger need to get a spin-off show.

These are totes awesome. Essentially a small animation budget away from being RPGFan: The Animated Series.

Beat Vesperia today. Great great game, really enjoyed the whole thing. One of the best parts was how they handled:

Code:
the romantic aspect, or more specifically, the lack of one. Unlike the past few Tales games, there was no romantic sub-plot in Vesperia. I mean, there is slight hinting at feelings between Yuri and Estelle, which come mostly from that scene near the end outside Aurnion, but you could also totally see their relationship as platonic. Not that I mind romantic sub-plots, its just nice to not see one shoe-horned in, or just to have a game without one for a change. Conversely, the lack of a canon pairing is a shipper's dream, since it allows shippers to pair up whomever they want, so you could theoretically pair Yuri up with Estelle, Judith, Kaufman, or even fucking Flynn or Duke if you wanted.

I also especially liked the pictures that played during the credits that follow the characters after the end of the game. I liked this cast a lot, so its nice that they showed how they just got on with their lives after saving the world.

I'm actually about to beat Vesperia (can go to final dungeon anytime now) and I have to say, I love this cast. There's just something about this disparate group of personalities that gels well for me. Really, I like every single one of them, but this is not strange, since I haven't met a Tales party character I haven't liked. There are some I'm neutral about (Colette) but none that I didn't like. Raven is totes my fav character, though I do not like playing as him.

Abyss is still going to be the best Tales game for me (of the 3 I played), but this one is very close in quality. That being said:

Abyss's magic > Vesperia's magic. I just loved that magic in Abyss came essentially from music, while Vesperia's feels like it's being made up as it goes along.

I haven't played (read?) it, but I've also heard good things about Cross Channel, and I've seen it compared favorably to Ever17.

I won't be too upset if this is true. I mean, I think the thing that was driving most people nuts about V13 was not knowing what was going on with it. We were lucky to get some news within a given year for the past 6 years. Ashton's right about the internet implosion, and I think the move will hurt S-E's cred, but in the long run, most people will get over it. That all being said, I do the like the idea of the game, and am curious to see how it would turn out.

I always found Tales series did backgrounds to a stellar degree though, that's why I've always loved their graphics anyways.

I agree. I mean, the cities and most dungeons are usually very pretty. I'm currently playing Vesperia, and I'm especially fond of Halure, and the snow towns in Symphonia and Abyss are places I would probably actually like to live in if I could.

EDIT: I take that back. I would so live in the part of Aspio where you rest, the area with all the books. I would sleep in the alcoves and read books all kinds of books about nonsense science.

New season of breaking bad is going to be so sweet.

Fo' reals!

Now the question remains:

Code:
Who the fuck is gonna make it out of this show alive?! I seriously doubt Walt does, cause I'm 100% convinced his cancer is back. Does Jesse? Skyler? Hank?

Just finished the 2nd act/part of Vesperia. The final boss of the part was actually much easier than I anticipated. I'm around lvl 54-55, and have almost 60 hours in, but with going afk while playing, I'm sure its closer to 53-55 hours. I am still really enjoying it, but I kinda want to get to end.

Yeah, I'm pretty stoked for this game, shiny, oddly dressed people and all. I liked Grow 2 and really liked Grow 3. I keep trying to get into Grow 5, but every time Seldous opens his mouth about hating war so darn much, I want to put my fist through the screen.

MST3K is one of my favorite things but I haven't seen a lot of the early things. Joel is ok but I'm more of a Nelson fan.

I concur, I think Joel is a bit more low-key, but it does let the robots have a bit more of the spotlight. Tom Servo will always be my fav.

Interesting and creepy thing just happened to me:

I was walking down to the pizza place in town to pick up some pizzas, and an old man pulled up alongside the curb in a white mini-van and asked me if I wanted a ride. I don't know who this fucker was, so I said, "No thank you," and he drove off. I think I saw him ask an Amish man on a bicycle the same thing. Just for the record, I'm 23, and definitely look the part, maybe even a little older, so I have no idea what this guy wanted. Also, I live in a small town where people just walk pretty much everywhere, so it's not like it's uncommon for someone to walk somewhere in this town. And no, no candy was involved.

Watched all the MST3K Gamera episodes. The 4th one (Gamera vs. Guiron) was the best of the five, and was so so so so bad as an actual film. This bit killed me and made me tear up a bit from laughing.
