I know I'm late to the party on this one, but I played LotSB last night, and to echo the thoughts of Kirk Hamilton in his article about ME3, if all of ME3 is like this DLC, I will love every bit of it. The writing and interactions between Shepard and Liara were great, the action parts were well done, and it delivered TWO memorable boss fights. I loved all the in-jokes too, and they really captured the sense of that special relationship between two really good friends/comrades.

The part that really got me was the personal continuity. During the first boss fight:

Code:
I chose the Paragon dialog option, and Shepard brought up his actions regarding the Rachni and how he saved the council (in my game), and used it to intimidate Tela Vasir. I really dig these throwbacks to these previous decisions, since they were kinda sorta super important, so why not bring them up more.

Last night's episode was one of the best yet. Good zombie action, and I'm glad Rick is finally coming back into focus as the leader. The Lori/Andrea/Beth/Maggie storyline was okay, but the real highlight was was the Shane/Rick story.

Picked Sakura Wars 2 back up. Just finished Chapter 7, and now am on Chapter 8. Going for Sumire for my first time through, and have her pretty much locked in 1st place. I love this series so much you guys. They can never make enough Sakura Wars.

I'll be getting it on Tuesday. Don't know if I'll start playing right away, because if the first Devil Survivor is any indication, I won't be able to beat it in a week ie. before Mass Effect 3 comes out. But Atlus' first prints of games like this are too small for me to take a chance on not buying it on day one. =P

This is the same line of arguing that my bf used to convince me to pre-order. Don't wanna take that chance that there won't be enough copies available later, even if I don't play much of it before ME3. We got to stockpile this shit while we can!

360 here and I'd love to get a 4 player game going. I think I'm pretty much done w/ the demo version. I've seen enough to know I'll love it.

If I ever get Gold I'm totes in. Honestly, I only played a little but ME3 multiplayer makes it pretty tempting.

The key is to visualize your own success

This thread just went from Good to Great and it truly is Built to Last.

Crash Bandicoot 1/2/3
I was a little kid back then but im sure id still have a lot of fun with these games

I have a big ol' nostalgia engorged heart for Crash. Those games were a lot of fun, but I haven't touched them since I was 10, so I have no idea how they are now.

I also recommend Medieval, despite being clunky. I loved the cartoonish dark fantasy world. The sequel is pretty good too.

Clock Tower. The first one for the PSX. This game is pretty old, and the controls are awful (point and click using the PSX controller), but it is a genuinely creepy game. Similar to Amnesia, it's a survival horror game, except you don't actually fight the killer, you have to run and hide and hope it doesn't find you. The thing that makes this one the best is that the killer's music doesn't play until after he just kicked the door open, scaring you shitless. The one for the PS2 had the music precede the killer, which ruined the suspense.

Anyone else remember Gex? All I remember was the platforming made me feel stupid, and I thought the games were funny.

Anyone here ever eat the skin on a kiwi? The california kiwifruit commission claims you can but i don't know man...

Don't think, just do it! Throw caution to the wind, but just don't choke or I'll totally feel bad! D:

Been working on my 3rd Shep in ME1. Just finished Feros. Even though its on Hardcore, after ME2 Insanity, I find it kinda easy/moderate. I'm playing Infiltrator (loving it) and have Snipes maxed out and bought the Spectre Sniper rifle. I kill most enemies in one shot, and if not, Assassination does. I hardly use any other weapons anymore.

I've been using Kaidan and Liara, and while Kaidan is the least compelling of all the squadmates, him and Liara make a great disabling team. Liara throws a Singularity and I pick them off, and if anything gets too close, Kaidan throws them or uses Neural Shock. Most organic enemies seem to be going down easily this way.

With all that said, I need to stop playing, cause I can feel the beginning of a "getting tired of this" feeling. I don't wanna be burnt out by the time ME3 comes out.

The new trailer was pretty good, but my minor nitpick is that they decided to show Ashley of all people. Not that I don't like Ashley, but it should have been Liara, considering:

(Not sure if these even count as spoilers anymore, but spoilers for ME and ME2)

Code:
All your other squadmates can potentially die, except Liara. I mean, she's technically the most permanent of all the Squadmates.

Preordered ME3, and started playing over 1 and 2 again.

I'm doing the same, but I'm afraid of overindulging and getting sick of ME. How do you prevent that?!

Today is my bf's birthday, but we're doing the long-distance thing and both of us have prior obligations. We did the celebration thing last week, though.  As for me, doing homework, then class,  and then watching this week's Drag Race.

I bought Kasumi for my second playthrough, and I actually really liked her. Her loyalty mission is pretty cool, and she's an awesome character. Her sneak attack skill is kinda broken, since it takes her out of the line of fire, which I abused many many times over.

Been re-playing Mass Effect to have a new big gay BroShep ready for all the big gay romances in Mass Effect 3. My friends keep asking me why I don't just start at 2, but I'd prefer to make all the decisions myself. I know you can in the beginning of the 2nd, but there's all the side-missions in the 1st one that crop up with outcomes/effects in the 2nd, and presumably the 3rd. Also, Mass Effect 1 is fun (except the Mako).

Playing it on Hardcore difficulty and I just got Liara. Thinking I'm gonna take Liara and Kaidan with me the whole time to get those achievements.

I'm totes getting it. As a big fan of VNs, I eat up any chance a non-erotic game gets licensed.
