Brian Epstein was a pretty sexy dude

I feel this way about Walt Whitman and Ulysses S. Grant. Something 'bout dem beards, mmm.

I'm probably gonna get Skyrim, and that's really about it. Maybe Dark Souls, but that's if I have the money, which is pretty tight right now. Nothing else really interests me enough.

Also, this is the quintessential holiday game.

I haven't been following much in the ways of anime/manga recently, but I did borrow Wandering Son from the library, and it is a really touching, beautiful story about two transgendered kids. I'd like to buy it, but the price tag is pretty hefty for just one manga. The volume is well done, but $20 is pretty steep. I'd like to support it though; I really wanna see where this story goes.

Beat Devil Survivor. I managed to beat the last string of bosses all on my first try, although the final boss was cutting it really close. I was down to one character, and said character was about to die, as was the boss. One hit either way was gonna end it one way or another, and the die rolled in my favor. Overall, very fun game. Gotta study for an exam, and then tomorrow or Wednesday I'll probably start something else, just dunno what yet.

Devil Survivor End of Day 6 Spoilers:

Code:
Beat Belial on my first try. It took me 6 tries for Beldr, but I guess being able to use all your party members instead of JUST ONE GUY kinda helps. Just spammed ice attacks mostly and didn't worry about his cronies. According to the little bit I've looked at in guides, I'm going for Gin's path. Really interested to see where this goes.

Around 17:30 on Day 6 in Devil Survivor. This game is fucking with my life. I know I should be doing really important college stuff, but all I keep thinking about is beating this stupid game. About how long is the last day, for those who've beaten it? I wanna know how much longer I have till I'm through with it.

That all sounds really negative, but I am enjoying the hell out of it. I like the mystery behind the story, and the battles are pretty fun. Once again I am very pleased with a MegaTen game.

I remember the encounter rate pissing me off, but that's something I can put up with, actually. It's annoying, but not a game-breaker.
Same. If that's the game's biggest problem (other than graphics), I can live.

I'm hoping I can live. I'm gambling with this one, since I found the encounter rate in Black Sigil to be way too unbearable.

Because the subtitle for this game is The Golden, I'm going to name my main Ponyboy. His last name is Greaser.

Had to stop playing games for a bit cause my arm got all hurty from too much gaming/computer usage. Got a wrist brace and an elbow brace on and it seems to be helping. It's been feeling a bit better, so I've been playing some in small amounts. At least the upside to all this is that it's freed up some time for me to start and then subsequently fall in love with Breaking Bad.

How much gaming time are we talking about here? You must've had some very long sessions.

It wasn't the gaming as much as being on the computer, but gaming didn't help my arm much. I generally spend a whole crap load of time on the comp. I do have a life outside of gaming/internet, I swear! >.<

Wading back into the gaming pool with Devil Survivor. Dunno why I wanted to pick this one back up, but so far its good. The limited amount of time aspect is gonna give me gray hairs, though. I'm half-way through Day 2, and the game is foreshadowing pretty heavy, so I'm hoping things are gonna get crazy soon.

I picked this back up after putting it down a few months ago. I'm in Chapter 1 and just met Olivier and I think he is the best person in any game ever. He will never leave my party as long as I have a choice. Love and peace, baby!

I met my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years on a dating site. That was after a year of getting disappointed, but in the end it was worth it. I had to try a few sites (all free) but I eventually found one that worked out, despite it having a rather nasty reputation. If I had to, I would also use a dating site again, since I think the successes greatly outweigh the disappointments.

BTW, I retract my statement. I'm playing now and yes, even on a 360 you want to use the D-pad. It is light-years better than the analog stick.
Also, I'm not much of a puzzle guy, but I do find the climbing pretty fun. Pretty surprised at that.

I agree. The tower-climbing parts have a strange appeal that don't really make it feel much like a puzzle game. For the same reasons, I really hate the Rapunzel mini-game. I'm so bad at it, and stuck on 7th stage and really have just given up on it. Getting that achievement will be a huge pain.

Up to the 4th day and over all I'm loving it. However Atlus loses major points for some really, really bad sound editing that makes it hard to enjoy the game. I have my TV cranked up to 61 and I can just barely hear the normal dialog. Often when music plays that normal dialog becomes unhearable. Here's the kicker though; the anime cutscenes at that same volume are incredibly loud. I basically have to play a sub-mini game with my remote to turn the volume down as soon as they appear lest my eardrums bleed out. This problem was present in the demo and it's very questionable as to why they didn't fix this in the production copy. Someone obviously just didn't give a crap. :-\

Wound up going on Easy difficulty and some of these stages are kicking my behind. Nothing unbeatable though. Can't wait to try it on harder difficulties and to utterly be a jerk in the next playthrough. Right now I'm trying to balance the scale between Law and Chaos without slipping too far to one side and as a result most of Vincent's replies in the sections where it seems your gauge's standing point determines the cut scene reaction are quite believable; so I really want to see how these differ during the extremes.

Aside from those complaints though it's a solid title. Writing's great, characters are great, gameplay's great. Best day one buy I've had in quite some time.

Edit: Forgot to mention- If you're hooked up to online with your console whenever you make a choice in the confessional you get a chart that shows you the rough percentage of how many other people playing the game chose what option. It's quite interesting to see how the results stack up.

I haven't noticed this specific audio problem, but I've found that sometimes the lines run a little close together, especially with Trisha in the beginning. But yeah, I am really digging the game. I'm also at end of the 4th stage, and while I'm a tad disappointed with the length, I can tell this'll be a game I'll replay more than a few times.

The puzzle/nightmare part is demonstrating how bad I am under pressure. I mostly panic and push/pull like crazy until a path appears. And I'm definitely steering towards Katherine, and prolly will go the opposite next play-through and a neutral route for the third, but I'm wondering how this game has eight endings.
