I've never played either Two Worlds or any of the Gothic games, so I don't really have much of an opinion. However, I have a crazy savage manlove over Fable 2, and I believe Fable 3 will be awesome. Honestly, I had never felt so immersed into a game since Baldur's Gate 2 as I was in Fable 2. I understand there are glaring problems, but the charm and heart and humor in Fable 2 made up for any of the issues I had with the game. Definitely my top most anticipated game for the later half of the year.

Also saw Scott Pilgrim. It definitely captured the appeal and charm of the graphic novels, and Cera wasn't bad as Scott, although I still dunno if I would have chosen him for the role. Kieran Culkin was wonderful as Wallace though, as was Emily Wong as Knives.

omg where? I think I've been there.

(I live like a mile from Cridersville, although officially I'm in a suburb of Lima* I guess? whatevz brolady)

A couple miles out of Wooster. And I had heard Glee was "set" in Lima, but nothing about that show could really happen anywhere around here, except for maybe the vaguely lesbian cheer-leading coach.

I loved DA:O so hard, but I too feel conflicted over this news. I like the idea of having a cinematic experience like Mass Effect in that there is a single, pre-determined main character, but I will miss the Origins. I mean, I know there's enough differences (for me anyway) that'll keep DA2 from being a Fantasy Mass Effect, but I still kinda wanna see how it develops. I don't wanna start bitchin' yet, too early to make a call on this one.

I really really like Futurama. It's one of the few shows I can watch over and over and not get sick, and I've always found it ridiculously clever. I'm pleased as punch it's back on, and I really enjoyed these last few episodes. So far it looks like they're keeping

Code:
Fry and Leela's relationship

and not gone back and retcon'd it or something. Not sure if that's a spoiler, but just wanted to be safe.

Beat Sakura Wars 1 for the first time, and got the Sumire ending. Replaying it now, but dunno if I wanna choose Kohran or Maria. Also finished Agarest Generation 1 about a week ago, and chose Elaine. Kinda in the mood for a good shooter now...

Obviously: Final Fantasy VI

Ditto on this. That or Suikoden 1.

Started Suikoden VI and got up to shortly after recruiting Lucretia.

A spark of hope was utterly dashed.

I have been playing The Dark Spire. Needless to say I have been dying quite often. I managed to get through both Etrian Odyssey games but this game may hate me even more.

Gotta learn to start proofreading my posts more. >.<

Started Suikoden V and got up to shortly after recruiting Lucretia. Now I am putting it on hold for Agarest War. Near the end of the 1st Generation, and shooting for Elaine. Just gotta beat this durned final boss and then I can move on. I'm really enjoying it and the mousepad has provided plenty of sophomoric, immature laughs. :P

Edited for my idiocy. :P

Got my Sakura Taisen 1&2 import. I finished Episode 2 on 1 and have been having a good time. The translation guide doesn't translate all the text, so I'm sorta railroaded on what I can and cant do. Also, it functions as a walkthrough and tells me what responses are best for which girls, so I feel kinda cheap on choosing the best ones. But all in all, well done guide for a (so-far) fun game.
719  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: FINAL FANTASY XIII on: March 09, 2010, 01:13:36 AM
I'm pretty happy FF13 is linear. After the decision-making and sidequest heavy Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2, I'm ready for a game where I don't have to stress about every little thing I do and can just sit back and enjoy the story without any anxiety. Not that I'm saying what DA:O and ME2 did were bad, I'm just looking for a nice change of pace.
720  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Getting psyched for Sakura Wars ~So Long, My Love~ on: March 04, 2010, 08:23:23 PM
Soo, I wanted to get the the full (or fullest possible for a non-Japanese speaker) Sakura Wars experience and decided to import the compilation of 1 & 2 for the PSP. I wouldn't have done it if I hadn't found out that there are translation guides for the games. They're the Kayama ones on GameFAQS, which I'm assuming are the most famous and/or most used ones for the games. To anyone who used these guides to make it through 1 & 2, how easy was it? Was it tedious to constantly switch from game screen to translation screen?
