Personally I don't think $25 is that outrageous, especially given that most of the other western-developed indie dating sim games fall around $20. I didn't mind paying for it, since I've been anticipating it for a while.

I'm blown away. Everything about that trailer was beautiful.

Now it's harder to justify not buying a PS3. D:

Oh man, yet another good-looking game that comes out early next year. This makes, like, 4 games that I plan on picking up within the first three months of next year. I will have no money come April.

Shira Oka is a dating sim style game created by indie-developer Okashi Studios, and has been in production for a couple years now. I've been following it off and on since I heard about it a year ago, and it's finally getting released this Friday on Impulse. Pre-ordering gets you 10% off, which I took advantage of. I tried out the demo a while ago, and its pretty solid.

Anyone else been following this game? I know there's a few dating sim/visual novel fans here on the boards, so I thought this may be up some people's alleys.

Also, didn't know if this is the appropriate forum for this topic, since I didn't know if dating sims/visual novels counted as RPGs. I know the site has reviewed some visual novels in the past, but I put it here just to be safe.

I'm a student in my last year studying German and History. After this I plan on heading to Grad School for Library Science. In the mean-time, I work the campus dining hall. I'm really tired of working there, but I pick the shifts I work every quarter, so its way to convenient to give up. Guess I'll have to keep on smelling like fries and milk every night.

I finally decided to get me a DS, letīs see if it can re-kindle my love for rpgs...

Same here. This game is definitely peaking my interest. This + Tactics Ogre will make hand helds my go-to this coming February.

Also, the music in Atlus's trailer was candy to my ears. Bodes well for the game's soundtrack.

I've been feeling rather "meh" about anime lately, but out of curiosity I started watching Shiki on Hulu a couple weeks ago and I'm totally hooked. Really good creepy atmosphere despite some rather questionable character designs. I've only watched the first 9 episodes, but so far its one of the more successful horror anime I've watched. The 9th episode was rather chilling overall too. And sorta like Higurashi, I think the character designs throw you off, since they're so...colorful, which kinda contrasts with the tone.

One word of warning though, the plot moves slow. This is not a problem for me since I like the fact that they're taking their time to build the tension and develop the characters, but some may be turned off by this.

This instantly shot up to the top of my most anticipated list. This is just the kinda game I've been wanting to play. Now I really can't wait for next year.

While I haven't played it yet, Amnesia: The Dark Descent looks rather spooky and unique. And it's on sale on Steam for Halloween! :D

I also watch Hocus Pocus.

The best Halloween movie ever, no contest.

I study at Ohio University, and it's notorious for its annual Halloween block party. Since this is my last year, and I have yet to attend, I may do that if I can find some friends to tag along with. Got my lederhosen all ready in case I need a costume.

If none of that comes to pass, probably find some spooky movies to watch from Netflix streaming.

Been playing Bayonetta after renting it. Holy shit do I love this game. It's slick, stylish, and most of all fun. Like, pure, unadulterated fun that you get from a game that knows all your right buttons and pushes them oh so sensually. And Bayonetta is my #1 main female lead ever. I could listen to her talk and walk forever. At the rate she's going, she's gonna be a gay icon, if she isn't one already.

Also picked Agarest War back up and hoping to make it through the 2nd generation before I get tired of the long, repetitive battles.

So when they hopefully get BG2, I can finally stop exposing my already incredibly scratched original game cds to even more danger. :D

Very creep, very interesting. But definitely fake. A well done fake though. Someone spent a lot of time working with the ROMs.

I concur. Good story, but fake. I thought the videos were a nice touch.

My main Shepard is male, but I certainly don't mind watching his ass ;).  That said, I don't prefer to play either gender. I usually have a character idea, and base my character on that.

Lol you get enough of Miranda's ass in one playthrough anyways

If I had her ass I'd show it off too!
