Drop It Doe Eyes - Los Campesinos!

When Fallout 3 came out, when it got advertised, it only ever advertised the Xbox 360 and PC versions. It was like saying that it never came out on PS3.

I barely even remember it coming out for PS3. I can definitely see how multiplatform games are marketed with a 360 bias, since I've seen several games at the game shop at the PS3 section and been like, "Wait, that was multiplatform?" Bioshock was an example of this, until like a month ago I didn't even know it was on anything BUT 360.

Been playing DA:O when I get the chance. Playing a Human Mage and am currently at level 6. I'm thinking of taking Shapeshifter and Arcane Warrior specializations, so I need to start getting my strength and dex up.

I feel similar, I have many games that I just haven't finished. I don't feel like listing them all but I'm guilty of not finishing:

Persona 4 (I keep saying I'm gonna finish it next week or something akin to that)
Valkyrie Profile (One irritating dungeon really sapped the motivation for me)
.Hack G.U. Vol. 2 (got burned out after playing it right after playing the 1st)
Lunar 2 (Same reason as previous)
Tales of Vesperia (Dropped it after Persona 4 came out and just haven't touched it since)
Fallout 3 (Ran out of steam)
Wild Arms 5 (I liked the characters a lot, but the story was paced funky, so I lost motivation).

These are the most recent ones, but I have plenty more unfinished games.

I was hoping she was gonna be a party character, I really like her design. I'm getting dangerously optimistic about this game now.

I finally finished Umineko Episode 2, and that was one hell of an ending. I had to play it with my headphones in, but being so drawn in and after being assaulted both visually and aurally during that last scene, I ended it with tears forming in my eyes from such an intense experience. I really really like it, and I liked the 2nd episode better than the 1st, but I'm not 100% sure what to believe is going on yet. I guess I'll have to wait for answer episodes to find out.

Played some more Wild Arms XF as well. I'm on Act 1-9, I think. Difficulty is pretty good I'd say, I have to use my head for some battles, which is nice.

This is a really nice surprise, and I'm glad they included something like this. This is kinda funny considering:

You revisit P3's city (I forget the name) in P4.
773  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Dragon Age: Origins on: October 12, 2009, 10:58:06 PM
I hope they manage to make the console ports of this game competent. It's it's some sort of DA:O Lite, I'm going to be pissed.

Agreed, since I need to get it for the 360 cause I know my laptop would play it like a wood chipper plays a violin.

EDIT: Also, if anyone cares here's a link to where you can get the character creator tool. More like a link to a link, but it's there!

Anyone else get an erection when they think about this game?

Oh god yes.

Up to the beginning of the 6th chapter of Valkyrie Profile. I'm still digging the game, but after reading a few FAQs, I know I've missed my chance to get the "A" ending, but meh. There was no way I could have known my first time through without an FAQ. After I finish, which I hope I'll do sometime in the next two weeks, I'm thinking of either Wild Arms XF or Persona.

Bought a PSP and too many games for it, so now I've been playing Valkyrie Profile. I'm near the end of Chap 3 and I'm pretty certain which 2 Einherjar I wanna send up. I'm also really digging the atmosphere of the game, kinda a gloomy game so far.

I also played some Dissidia, and so far I like the fighting part of it, but the story mode is soulless fan wank. I had read in one review that the game makes you think more of the characters that weren't included, and I find it to be an apt point. Without the other characters from the games to define the heroes, they're pretty flat. And holy fuck do they say "crystals" and "friends" a lot. But I do like the battling! :D
777  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Fable 2 "Episodic", Fable III announced on: September 23, 2009, 11:45:40 AM
Eh while I didnt care for Fable, Fable 2 was pretty fun.  Im looking forward to number 3, course I never really payed attention to all the crap he talkeda bout, so *shrug*

Ditto. I'm gonna just tone out the promises and expect the same game I got with Fable 2. That way, I can still get more of a game I enjoyed if nothing else, barring a complete screw-up.

Nice trailer. It definitely colors me interested. I really like the atmosphere conveyed.

I may have a high tolerance for voice acting, but I liked it. Sure, the voice actor was over the top and campy, but so was everything in the trailer.

Bought Los Campesinos!'s Hold On Now, Youngster last night. It's the kinda sing-a-long, toe-tappy muzak I've been craving.
