Neverwinter Nights. I found an amazing RP-based PW and spent many evenings on it. Wonderful place with many other wonderful players. I figure this counts as an MMO, so my other two most played games are  P3 (~100 hours my first play through) and SO2 (Beaten it twice, working on my 3rd and 4th times).

The scoring is nice, as long as the battles play out fast. Similar to SO4, I can give a crap about the bonus battle gauge because the battles move quickly, but if they take a minute or more to complete, then my motivation for trying to do better will die fast.

Rented and beat FEAR 2 last week and am close to beating Lunar 1. Good god, not to sound stuck in the 90's, but if only more modern games had characters like the ones in Lunar, I actually feel like I'm gonna miss them after I've beaten the game.

It'd be pretty cool if it were another Radiata Stories, provided they made it a bit more difficult and improved the story a bit (haha). I thought the original was charming in its own way, and I really liked how armor showed up on the main character when equipped, I wish more games did this.

An original game could be cool too, provided it has a decent premise.

I don't have LIVE gold either, but in case I ever get it:

Xbox LIVE - Scareknee

"Samantha Brown! You have to get out of here! Your vagina is haunted!"

Taken from Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose #53, reviewed here. Personally, I just find it pretty hilarious, and wish there were more social situations where it would be appropriate to use.

Anyone has played Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and Umineko no Naku Koro ni, I have heard that they both have great plot and are very interesting and engaging murder mystery visual novels.
I believe they are not eroge, if they are I apologize...

As far as I know the games haven't been translated yet, although there's fan translations in progress.  Fan translations of games are typically slow and unreliable though, so they could be finished in anywhere from 6 months to never.

This is definitely true, but I know of one group that has translated the first game in the Higurashi series: Onikakushi-hen. If I'm correct, 07th Expansion, the makers of Higurashi and Umineko, offer Onikakushi-hen for free download as well. But you're right, outside of a few notable exceptions, most fan translations don't move anywhere.

Yes! I was so worried it would be disappointing or lukewarm, but they managed to pull off an incredibly satisfying ending. Well done, Ronald Moore and David Eick, well done.

I love me some point and click graphic adventures, but I'm getting tired of the "serious" ones, or the crime/detective ones. I want me some comedy ones like the mid 90's, dammit.

I hear ya on that.  Two of the most recent comedic ones I can think of in the spirit of classic LucasArts are A Vampyre Story and So Blonde (was released in multiple languages, including English, in Europe but not released in the US).  WadJetEye's Emerald City Confidential looks like it'd be a fun one.

Regardless, I like visual novels and hopefully Miami Law will be good. It appears to be one of those games where WD-style pop culture references would not be out of place.

I find the new Sam and Max games to be a blast too, but I've never played the original so I can't compare. They're certainly not serious, and are pretty decent games outside of the humor.

I'm around 46 hours into the game and I think I can go to the final dungeon now. So far I'm very, very pleased. I certainly wasn't expecting a sci-fi epic, and I expected a pretty cheesy storyline, but it's compelling enough to keep me going. Dialogue is hammy too, but I actually laughed a few times. Battle system is crazy fun too; I felt the 3rd's Fury gauge kinda hampering, and I hated not being able to hit enemies who were knocked down.

The characters are two-dimensional, but I would have been shocked if they were anything but, considering the 2nd and 3rd games. I find them charming enough though. And despite him being the cliche "stoic bad-ass" character, I have a savage man-love for Arumat. It might be his ridiculous scythe.

Lymle's voice has grown on me, so I don't find it as offsetting as when I first got her. The VA work isn't masterful, but I think it gets the job done. Off course, I'm in the middle of a love-fest with the game, so my opinions are biased. :P Although they just THROW xp at you in this. And I haven't seen a game over once, so I'm figuring this'll be one of those games you'll need to play on the harder difficulties to have a real challenge.

Crossing my fingers for crazy difficult/annoying bonus dungeon though.

Played a good amount of time yesterday. Very very satisfied with my purchase. This game feels more like SO2 than SO3 in my opinion, which is a good thing. I love the new PA system (I'm a visual novel fan, so I have a soft spot for affection systems), and it isn't as awkward as SO3's was. Battle system is fun and pretty fluid, and the battles move fairly quick. I was also surprised to see that the boss was quite difficult, seeing as I had thought I was over-leveled. It required a bit of strategy.

I'm pretty happy with the voices, but I have a high tolerance for voice acting. Lymle's voice is a bit odd, though; is she supposed to be monotonous?

Apparently my copy I ordered through Amazon has just shipped. The delivery estimate says it should be here tomorrow, so I'm guessing it should be available tomorrow, in the U.S. at least.

I can't even stand contacts, let alone needles injecting ink into my eyes.

After taking a look at the official English website, I have to say that it is one of more better designed ones I've seen in a while. I like it a lot better than its Japanese counterpart, but there's something about Edge's face in the character section that creeps the hell out of me.
