I can't get enough of watching Kino no Tabi, excellent series. Also watching Lain, Boogiepop Phantom and Mushi-shi. Finished Toward the Terra (the tv series, not the movie) a few days ago. Wasn't expecting much but it ended up being pretty good, the final episodes were epic. Droped the ToTA anime, at least for a while... seems like I'm another victim of the game-to-anime adaptations.

Basically when the story starts to drag and the gameplay can't hold the game on its own. I can stand a bad/non-existant plot if the battle system is good, as well as I can bear an awfully designed system if the story is good enough for my taste and/or the characters are enjoyable.

Persona 4 music was overall kind of bland in my opinion, it pales in comparison to P3/The Answer soundtrack. Back on topic, got the normal ending in Persona 4. The final boss was so lame... ...it pops out from nowhere. It would have been better if they did explain more about that big eye thing. The final sequence of the normal ending was pretty sweet. Now I just need to finish that optional dungeon and finally beat the game.

I never understood why so many people consider it to be the greatest game to bless the earth, I thought it was an okayish game. Maybe I was spoiled by playing other 3d rpgs before FF7. What I dislike the most about FF7 is its rabid and rather vocal fanbase, not the game itself. Sometimes I compare them to Naruto fans since both like to think that their favorite game/show is the best thing in the world when, in fact, there is no such thing as "best of".

Started Persona 4, already 40h in. Had to grind a little because normal enemies were kicking my poor ass. Hooray for Hamaon, Mudoon and Megidola spam! At first I wasn't very impressed with the characters nor the story, but after more people join your party things start to pick up. The game is hillarious, specially when compared to its antecessor. I LOLed during the whole cross-dressing and beauty contest. Teddy/Kuma with the "Alice in Wonderland" look was priceless. On a side note, Naoto is awesome.

@Eusis, both your comments were spot on. I do very little grinding in DQ games, just fighting the random encounters is enough to fight boss battles. I don't understand why so many people complain about DQVIII. It follows the KISS principle, keep things simple, be it story, gameplay. Don't like random encounters? You can almost turn them off buy using a skill or an item. In my opinion, the world map was very well-done, a nice change from the point-and-click we have nowadays. I love VII and VIII.
One of the best things about DQ is the zoom/warp spells. Makes travelling the world so easy.
If only there were a way to turn off random encounters.
Guess you will love IX then.

Got to floor 10 or 11 in Etrian Odyssey 2, not sure. The time I spent leveling my Dark Hunter is finally paying off; she is killing everything in sight with the super special awesome skill Climax.
Beat Chrono Trigger DS... I don't remember it being that easy since the last time I had played. Didn't die once. The new dungeons were pretty lame, think it would be better if they didn't include them at all. Oh well. Zeal is still my favorite part of the game.

-.Hack - The FIRST series that came out. .Hack//Gu does not have dual audio. I don't know if the whole first series has dual audio or not.
Yes, all 4 games of the first series (Infection, Mutation, Outbreak and Quarantine) had dual audio.

First of all, there wasn't even a WRPG or JRPG term till just a few years back. I can't understand why we can't all just simply call it an RPG, because it is what it is. Indeed. First it was casual vs. "hardcore" games, now it's jRPGs vs. wRPGs, what's next?
