I've always been wanting to get into these games... I hear nothing but good things... BUT... I've yet to play an RPG that had randomly created dungeons that I like.

I'm such a sap but I love this movie.

I never saw this until about 3 years ago. It's awesome.

Loreena McKennitt - The Dark Night of the Soul

I love this woman. Own everything she ever did, even that super duper deluxe version of the new Christmas album.

Falconer - Delusion

Have you ever listened to Mithotyn? A few guys formed Falconer after breaking Mithotyn up. Never cared for Falconer, but Mithotyn is one of the finest examples of viking metal out there. Especially their "In The Sign Of The Ravens" album.

Secret of Mana- To put it simply this game is fun. There are few RPG's that I care to replay as much as Secret of Mana. There isn't much of a story but the gameplay more then makes up for it. They simply don't make them like this anymore.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3: I remember seeing clips of this game on youtube before it came out. At the game I was looking for something that was a bit on the darker end of the RPG spectrum as I was getting a bit bored of saving the world from your typical evil warload etc. Not only is the game long but it's also different. The characters are interesting, the story was actually engaging and the concept of being able  date and establish various relationships with people was a new twist that I haven't seen in a lot of RPG's.

Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete: What it lacks in graphics it makes up with heart. This is simply a classic game. The story might be simple but the characters are memorable and not to mention it features one of my favorite villian ever.

Final Fantasy VII: I still remember when I first got this game. I literally play it all night and into the morning. I was just blown away as at the time I haven't seen anything like it. But then it was my first proper RPG as I consider Secret of Mana to be an Action/RPG.

I'm not one that focuses too much on a game's music, but to this day I can still remember how awesome the music in Secret Of Mana was.

I hope I can mention action/adventure RPG's here...

The Legend Of Zelda-A Link To The Past (SNES).

When I first popped the cart in back in 1991 and saw the pieces of the triforce tumbling towards the center of the screen, I was awestruck. The jump in graphics and music on the SNES over the NES was more pronounced in my opinion than any of the later generation. I don't think I had one complaint while playing through ALTTP, not one. I dreamed about the game while I was sleeping, for crying out loud. An experience I'll never forget.

Soulblazer (SNES).

Technically, this is a better game in my opinion than ALTTP, it's just it can't compete with the sentimentasl value of ALTTP. To this day I have never seen a game put together so well as Soulblazer... it was so fun and different than anything I've played before or since. Being sent into an area where nothing but ground was, and then slowly releasing people, houses, animals, etc. back into the area, and they'd help you, was SOOOO damn cool. Hell sometimes I'd seal a monter lair and release something mundane like a vine and I'd say "Oh, big whoop... a vine." Then I'd go back to the outside area and see the vine grew in such a place as to let me get access to a new area. Dark Cloud tried to capture some of Soulblazer's gameplay, but it wasn't nearly as good.

Parasite Eve (PS1).

I wish this game wold get a true sequal for the next gen systems. Loved the modern story with horror elements, loved the graphic style. Truly a unique RPG for the time.

Lunar (Sega CD).

The very first RPG I played with animation and voice acting. Loved it.

Knight Of Xentar (PC).

A Final Fantasy ripoff, but it was so goofy and funny that I couldn't help playing all the way through.

Skies OF Arcadia (Dreamcast)

Nice sense of exploration, tons of cool new ideas... the ship battles were a little TOO long, IMO, but a great game anyway.

I would like to see The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past completely reworked and re released in highdef. I don't want a 3D re imagining of it, keep it 2D... 3/4 overhead view, but give it way more detail. Keep the music the same, but have an orchestra do it. Would be awesome. I know this would be hard to do since Nintendo has yet to release a high def system.
