stronger enemas

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh  >________>

In all seriousness, thanks for the response.  I need to remember to check out the MOTY feature and listen to everything there after I listen to Second Movement.

Also, I spent a good 5 seconds of the First Movement wondering how your Tellah avatar was supposed to be a hot dog.

Hey, enemas were very potent in Mel Brooks "Dracula: Dead and Loving It" ;)
(Hahaha. Spell check was very wrathful today, lol.)

Also, here's my skype avatar for reference:

Arvis, I think you'll like my track samples from Shining Resonance on my favorites page in MOTY: Marcos' Favorites. "Kirisaku Ongeki" perhaps is a track that works better in context. It's played, I believe, when you encounter a group of enemies/stronger enemas/or something of that nature. I watched about 2-3 hours of gamplay of this game on Youtube and finally found it. It really works well in its situation, so maybe you would get the full effect in game...if we ever get the game. I own the soundtrack and really like this soundtrack. I was a little nervous I wasn't because it was a very blind purchase (Usually I look for tracks, but there were only vocal tracks and the battle tracks on youtube). However, once I gave it a listen through, I fell in love with it. Definitely one of my favorites for 2015.

"Battle of Tribulations," or more so the whole soundtrack, might be a hit or miss for many people. It was a hit for me because I'm generally open to new ideas and themes for games. However, I did come in with some expectations that I wanted it to me, but it didn't hit those expectations. that's okay, because I enjoyed it for what it was and look forward to playing End Layer! :)

In regards to "Mira" from Xenoblade--GREAT MUSIC, RIGHT?! :)

I am a huge fan of Iwadare!!  The soundtrack to Eternal Blue was his best work IMO.  It expanded on the adventurous tone that was set in the Silver Star and cranked it up to 11!  Everytime I hear the main theme, I get chills.  And as I stated earlier, Field to Tomorrow is one of the best field themes.  I used to just sit and let it play over and over.  The entire Lunar series' music is amazing.

It really is hard to not love most of his music as Grandia and the Ace Attorney series all have very fitting music for their settings.  Also, while I've never played the Langrisser series before, I might have to pull a Meyerink and purchase Re:Incarnation just to hear his music again!

I've yet to listen to Eternal Blue's full soundtrack, so I'm expecting high things from that praise your giving it. ;) Lol, I expect it's great, because I adore the Grandia series music, Radiata Stories, and Ace Attorney series music. Langrisser is on my listening docket, so I'll eventually get to that. I keep hearing great things, so it must be wonderful! :)

I TOTALLY FORGOT that MOTY was coming soon, so I should at least get a couple songs posted here if it's not too late (which admittedly it very well MIGHT be!).

Tales of Zestiria - New Power Awakens by Go Shiina

God Eater 2 - Beasts of the Wilderness also by Go Shiina (I don't think you guys cover this game, but EH)

Legend of Legacy - Fighting the Unknown by Masashi Hamauzu

Xenoblade Chronicles X - So nah, so fern and Wir fliegen by Hiroyuki Sawano

Daigyakuten Saiban (The Great Ace Attorney) - Naruhodo Ryuunosuke ~ Objection! 2015 by Yasumasa Kitagawa

Undertale - Bergentrückung/ASGORE and Waterfall by Toby Fox

Haha, Arklight, please check out my favorites page for MOTY 2016. I think you will be please with three of my choices. ;)

In case anyone has not seen the Strong Bad in question, or (like me) just needs to see it again:

Challenge and fighting and fighting and challenge toniiiight....

Bless you, Tooker. It's always great to relive classics. ;)

3. While I have enjoyed your musical selections, there seems to be an extreme lack of Noriyuki Iwadare music.  Grandia and the Lunar series have some of the best music from the PSOne era that needs to be played.  One that would have been great for the New Beginnings episode was Field to Tomorrow when Jean goes from dancer to kick-ass karate master!

WHO SAID IWADARE?? Hey there! Thanks for joining up and enjoying the show! Are you a fan of Iwadare? What are some of your favorite game soundtrack done by him? :)

I ended up never using the follow ball because I liked wandering around in Mira. I spent a lot of time exploring and enjoyed all the time I sunk into it. I'm sure that the follow ball is a total lifesaver for when you want to move the story along. ;)

Playing some Hyrule Warriors again. Still a fun game a year later. ;)

I love the way she looks (even if it's Dragon Crown's "elf" basically drawn up by a different artist), I'm kinda blue that this is a "Team Ninja thing" more than Nintendo might ever dare to use it again.  I'd love a gender option at the start of future titles.

Agreed. We need Gandorella. ;)

Alright, see ya next year. ;)

Commentary on 4-1:

- The Last Story has some awesome music.  Really enjoying the background tunes on this episode.

- I assumed that anyone who would go to the trouble to use an un-dub on a console JRPG must be an insufferable snob who hates all dubs regardless of quality; the sort of yo-yo who watches Cowboy Bebop with subtitles.  But now Mr. Un-Dub on this podcast said plainly (and with no hint of bitterness) that he didn't hate the dub in The Last Story.  Perhaps I need to re-think my vicious stereotype of un-dub users?

Onward to 4-2:

- LOOOOOOOVE the music at the beginning of this episode!  This should be the theme music for Retro Encounter.  It works so well.

The name of that track for Episode 4-2 is "Being Congenial" and was also one of my picks for Episde 22.9 of Rhythm Encounter. ;) It was one of my favorite tracks in The Last Story, and for whatever reason appears either once or twice throughout the whole game!

If you're liking the music for The Last Episode, you're going to love Episode 4-3, since that's where The Last CD is jammed into (it has a lot of jucy music in there). ;)

And that stupid song that played.

But.... "Peace of the World" is one of my all-time favorite tracks from any VG OST!  T___T

(old) I actually meant this in a good way. I loved whistling it... D:
Tales of the....!!!

Have you heard it's main theme yet? ;)

  • Siren
  • Rule of Rose
  • Haunting Grounds
  • Clock Tower 1 & 3 (#2 is a really good comedy ;))
  • Friday the 13th nes game
  • F.E.A.R.
  • Resident Evil (series)
  • Nanashi no Game
  • Corpse Party
  • Ao Oni
  • Skinwalker

Siren, the original, PS2 one, downright creeps me out. Same deal with Rule of Rose.

It wasn't universally liked, but I was a fan of a game called Shadow of Destiny (Shadow of Memories in Japan).  In it, you travel through time trying to prevent your own murder and find out who keeps trying to kill you.

Wait, so Shadow of Destiny wasn't a comic adventure? ;)

You linked Duke Silver just to pander to me and I'm okay with it.

This does sound like a good idea!

haha maybe indirectly. xD
Naw, the podcast also referenced him. x), don't remember who exactly said "someone will get that reference".

That was Mike. ;)

There's also The Middens if you really feel like going too deep.

{Looks up Middens. Watches Youtube trailer.}

...Whelp. Now I need to go play this game. Thanks for mentioning it, seriously, because it looks amazing.

After you play Middens, be sure to play Gingiva.

Let me edit this game as well: Toilet in Wonderland. This game is perfect.
