I remember that commercial. Hilarious back then, hilarious now. :D

Also, hope you like Mahjong

......... I need to go light a candle. I loved Summon Knight for the GBA. Two rpgs I ACTUALLY beat beginning to end without week/month breaks. I even brought my DS to college to play these games because I love em that much.

... We're RPGFan's biggest up and coming couple/trolling duo.

Did someone say Troll?

that would be a perfect ringtone~
@Dennis: I think you're actually my favorite of the podcast people because we both "like everything" in terms of games, as Rob says about you
actually, i should really go back to that podcast thing soon

Well if you wanted to know the song = Ferry Corsten - We Belong

An additional fact:

- I've been told I have a dead serious face while gaming, more serious than other gamers. I think it was compared to a killer. I'll see if I can get pics of me gaming at the arcade... I have to play Time crisis 2-4 or House of Dead for it to come to me.

- Music Student
- I get bored really easily
- I always find something to do when there's nothing to do.
- I have an obsession with pictures, drawings, orchestral music for space.
- I have an obsession with repeating numbers like 111111 22222 333333 44444 55555 66666 and so on.
- My Dogs like putting their head in my mouth when I open in it because they think food magically comes out. (Favorite fact)

I am probably the biggest Duke Ellington fanboy you will ever meet in your life.

1072  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Does anyone actually like random battles? on: July 29, 2010, 04:07:17 PM
I liked random encounters when I was a kid up to high school. When I went to college, not so much. I play a game to beat it, and with gusto. Random encounters are just a hindrance to me now.
1073  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: most unappreciated RPGs? on: July 26, 2010, 03:04:51 PM
My vote goes to Thousand Arms.  The game was flawed with a cumbersome combat system, some crater-sized plot holes, and disk 2 being rather half-hearted, but it was damn funny and Meis is one of my all time favorite protagonists.  He dated all his party members and had girlfriends in various towns (including a 200 year old priestess.)  And the Ayumi Hamasaki opening theme?  Kick ass!  The rest of the music was good too; definitely an underrated soundtrack.  I played that game twice to completion and thought it was really fun.  I think another reason it was underappreciated is because FF8 and Suikoden 2 came out that same year.

I think it's one of those "right game, wrong time" incidents.  Again, the game itself is quite flawed, but it was still really fun.  I've said this plenty of times, but I would love this game on PSN.  Sure it's wishful thinking, but a little wishful thinking never hurt anyone.

Loved Thousand Arms, but I could live without Meis's shoes swishing. Another game to fall prey to "right game, wrong time" was Wild Arms, overshadowed  by FF7.

Game is cool, Music is amazing. I forget when you get to hear Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor in the game. I remember hearing in the original soundtrack a year or two back.
1075  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: The 3rd Birthday on: July 23, 2010, 02:05:06 AM
Never played the first two games... but I'll give this game a try. usually I'm not a fan of "grotesque" games, purely because I'm a wimp, but the more graphically enhanced something is, the less frighting, if that makes any sense to anyone.

I just found this link. Some of these test answers I've seen before, but several are new. The abstinence test answers are sheer genius.

Best answer for me is the one where a person just draws an amazingly done whale for an answer. The most funniest is this one... I can't stop laughing.

I've always been interested in trying Dungeon Fighter Online out, so I might try this Winter break. Right now I'm into Neo Steam MMORPG. Sad there isn't a review of that here, would like to see what the staff thinks of the game.
1078  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Quest for the Red Hills (free RPG game) on: July 20, 2010, 11:08:00 PM
Just spent about 10-20 minutes playing and here are some info about the game...

1. Music = To be exact, there's a favor of Zelda Ocarina of time music, a pinch of Majora's mask, Castelvanai, I believe one Resident Evil 4 track, and Two super mario RPG tracks. I won't slap your wrists for using already-game music, but the transitions between each track could be more smoother.
2. Spelling = Needs work in some areas from what I read.
3. Doors = The doors opening would look much better if you placed a black opening behind the door, so when the door trigger occurs it will seem more realistic and not your character can break through walls like the Hulk.
4. objects = Be careful that you make sure you complete every one of them. Example: There was half a tree missing (top half) and I know it wasn't a purposely done.

That's it for now. I know I'm being a total butt-head for slamming ya with only just playing 10-20 mins of the game, but I work with RPGVX as well and I know you could have done a bit better on some areas.

Plus side: Story is fine, I'll be looking forward to the rest of your game.

Speaking of which...

If the game gets like this, might be even more fun to play.
(psst, they are supposed to be following me, but I outran thees foos)
