It's Go Shiina, who worked on Tales of Legendia (the music was the only good thing about that game) and the IDOLM@STER projects. He's a freaking genius. I did an interview with him once for a website that's currently dead in the water. He's a cool dude.

Is this interview still up or at least in some kind of archives that I can check out?

I'm not sure why this didn't hit me earlier. Shadow of the Colossus OST. The game had an amazing soundtrack, and with live instruments. The game was literally a string of boss battles with some Horse Riding + exploring in between. Hurrah Boss Music.

I'll take your word for it and put it on my queue of things to check out. I always wanted to hear what a Muscular women singing would sound like in-game. Let's hope that the soundtrack is as you make it sound. :)

I felt the music in the original Final Fantasy Tactics were great, a lot of tension-filled tracks. I can't say much for the other games, but I did enjoy "Vamo' alla flamenco" from IX. I can't think of any other soundtracks off the top of my head you may like, but I'll be sure to pass by when I do. But do check out Infinite Undiscovery's ost, I felt that was one of Sakuraba's better projects. Here's one that I really liked (The beginning more than the rest): Heavenly Sword.

WAIT, Check out Star Ocean III's soundtrack seeing I brought up Mr. Motoi. My favorite track, and my ring-tone on my old phone, is Influence of Truth Appearance.

I'm not sure orchestra is a category of quality, but I think you would like this cd:
Drammatica -The Very Best of Yoko Shimomura

A bit pricey, but its damn worth it. Some tracks that are arranged on there are the main theme from Legend of Mana, Organization XII's theme/battles, and a track or two from other games like Live A Live and Front Mission.

If you like orchestral music, try Infinite Undiscovery and Eternal Sonata. I suggest you actually just check out the Soundtrack reviews on the RPG Fan site, I'm sure you'll pass by something you like. Ah, and if you can, find the Grandia Soundtrack 1 that has a first CD of Orchestral music and a 2nd cd of Synthesizer(?) tracks. But good luck with that one.

Update: I added some new games and prices. All prices are negotiable. This might be the last time I put games up, but I might add some prices.

Also a good combination of survival horror and RPG would be great.

Fragile is the closest thing to that right now. I'm apparently afraid of cats that meow
through the wiimote when in a dark room. Go figure.

Well that made my night. What JRPG for me? Wild Arms II.

I'm a glutton for indie rpgs, so I'll give the first episode a shot.

Radiata stories isn't new, it's used...by me! The new tag is added to newly listed games, not their condition. Dark Cloud 2 is.... I dunno. Shoot me a price you think is reasonable.

List has been Updated.
942  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: What feature in one/few RPGs should they all have? on: March 01, 2010, 09:23:34 PM

If anyone mentioned this...the choice to turn on your kingdom/allies/group/homeland/ect and work/fight for the enemy. I don't know why, but it was very satisfying in
Growlanser II: The Sense of Justice
I would play every RPG twice if it had this feature.
943  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Grandia on PSN this week! on: March 01, 2010, 05:09:36 PM
Well, I plan on getting the game as soon as I get a psp, which is a funny story for another time. On brighter news, my Grandia Piano Book came in, TODAY. Played some Sea Cat Restaurant Lilly on the piano, felt refreshing. A bit disappointed though, not as detailed or notey as I hoped...

If you plan to do everything, I'd definitely say it's 80 hours.  Feena's last spell alone takes hours to get.  Of course, it's completely broken, but still.

Is the last spell even worth getting? When I first saw the prerequisites, my first reaction was "Well Screw this".
944  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Help needed - difficult RPGs? on: March 01, 2010, 12:44:01 AM
My sister played this, but try Magical Starsign? I remember it being a pain, but she got through it just fine. Either that or some Rouge rpg like Shiren The Wanderer or Izuna: The Legend of the unemployed Ninja in case Shiren was too hard.

Alundra 1 was pretty goofy, what with WD's brain-dead translation at all. I mean I know it was supposed to be a serious game, but they fucked it up. That and it had some really bullshit puzzles from what I remember.

I'm not sure what they put in the booklet for the first Alundra, but in the second one they talk about how they translated the humor so I guess American players would get the jokes? They at least had the decency to tell you from the get-go that they were going to screw it up. But yeah, I was trying to look past Alundra's poor translations, haha.

I haven't hit any puzzles yet, but I'm waiting for that to come by. Want to know BS puzzles? Star Ocean's 3 optional dungeon (on that planent with Nel+Albel) with those movable colored squares. That was aggravating. I found the block puzzles from the millennium puzzles from Wild Arms 3+5 a lot more easier and enjoyable.
