So were changing the issue from combo execution to people spamming online. Is that the best barometer for judging competitive gameplay?
Even guilty gear would be susceptible to crouched 2p during block strings online.

I just realized something. Phantasy Star Online on Dreamcast came out a decade ago. Which means we've known each other (somewhat) for a decade.
Holy shit I feel old.
In a related note I read this comment on youtube for cherub rock by smashing pumkins Honestly so many people complain about Guitar Hero attracting "posers", but it was because of that game I started asking my dad about bands like Smashing Pumpkins and Bad Religion that got my musical tastes as they are today. Or as i say, the right way XD I remember when dad rock used to be 'cream' or 'the alman brothers'. That was a sucker punch indeed.

However it's hard for me to take it seriously as a fighting game when super meter generates so fast and *BC super is a really easy braindead easy way to play.
This doesn't make sense to me. If a character hits you, you've made this mistake. Regardless of how execution heavy the combo they use after that initial hit, you're still the one who has failed to defend yourself from this allegedly brain dead player. Being able to simply perform combos isn't that impressive in itself and isn't nearly as fundamental to fighting games as being able to open up the opponent for the chance to perform these combos to begin with. Higher damage can still be attained with difficult combos, but Arcana simply removed the necessity of learning them to compete.

The CPU can't think. It's always going to seem dumb, not that sentinel isn't incredibly dumb as an aside. This game has like 40 characters but you wouldn't know that because I'm on about 4-5 boards and every single one of them is full of people who don't realize Dante/Deadpool/Wesker/Dormammu aren't the only ones in the game.
Anyway, this game is like the rainbow edition Hokuto no ken of TVC, it's a mess. Can't imagine what the scene for this is going to be like. Heading to a tournament this saturday, can't wait to see the gimmicks and bullshit.

Yeah, there are lots of creeps who play female characters-- but not everyone playing a female character is a creep.
I played a female night elf because I liked the female archer archetype, pretty common fantasy shit-- and the men were all just fucking butt ugly... but when the bloodelves showed up I jumped on the Bishounen ship pretty damn fast.
Personally, the excuse that ''I play females because im attracted to them" makes almost no sense because all these females are designed by dudes? There's almost nothing feminine or attractive about any of them. It's all so blatantly ''male'' oriented that I coulodn't possibly try and get off to it.The last female character that wasn't a total joke to me was Morrigan from Dragon Age. From a JRPG? Never.

haha yeah basically. I'm really happy about Ibuki, She was always my second string in third strike. Remy for the win... sigh. Those were the days, I always pick the character who I like the most aesthetically, whether it be physical character design or fighting style, bottom line has always been aesthetics. It normally works out, the characters I wind up playing usually turn out to be decent. Third strike was a rough decade for me.
Street Fighter IV hasn't been much better. This is the first instance ever of Vega being garbage afaik.
Hopefully the Jin pool will get a bit smaller though. I sense a lot of Hazama players are going to fill that void.

If somebody attempts a 1-frame link online, even if they're using the best connection in the world, they deserve to eat the inevitable Shoryuken, even if it's from a flowchart Ken.
This is the genius of blazblue though. They just mask it by making button inputs last for a ridiculously long window. My main problem with sf4 is really the lack of blockstun. You just don't have to respect anybody's pressure. The only thing worth doing with anybody it feels like is shorts into throw (or whatever, just get the mixup out NOW), or spending metre to attempt anything other than that. This combined with huge stages and funky oki, whatever though. ps: instant seth victory: J-roundhouse, 2 Roundhouse, repeat.

Ten bucks says Dudley has stupid good links in tandem with his traditional thousand target combos. I mean just look at Sakura, an afternoon of training on some of those 1-frame links make her damage insane, imagine what could happen with a good character design.

imposed? You should be thankful you have the privilege of getting a western education. People die for that imposition.
Anyway, my life is going great. Graduated, been working for quite a while-- so now that I don't have school on top of that I finally have some free hours at night....there is this disgusting thing my boss is trying to impose on me though, some liberty crushing idea about potentially having to go work in Lyon (France).

The Torah is is the old testament of the bible. It was written mostly in hebrew with a little bit in aramaic. The difference is that in Judaism, a tiny bit of the page of their book is the actual text. The rest of the page is taken up by different rabbinical arguments and interpretations of that text.
