I've been playing The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. By "playing" I mean avoiding because god I hate the Ocean King's Temple. It could be worse, I guess. I could be playing FFX-2.

I fucking hate this game. Every time I quit, I come back.
Yeah, round 3 for Shooichi. Are the RPGFanites still playing in Norgannon? Have room for one more level 1 guy to get frustrated as he grinds? Is it even worth my time? I have to admit that Dave's complaints have me nervous about the prospect.

Yeah, with my limited free time I'm probably not going to complete this game anytime soon, and that's assuming I don't get distracted by other games. I'm already trying to avoid filling up my weekends with engagements (lol social links) so I can play more Persona 3.

I'm kind of making a slow return to RPGs. Is it just me or have they gotten super awesome again? Maybe I just needed a break.
Anyway, I purchased Odin Sphere the other day and beat the first two chapters of the Valkyrie book. I love the art direction, dialogue, voice acting, and music. The gameplay is solid as well, but I find myself getting somewhat frustrated with the mechanics occasionally.

I don't really see what the problem is. A lot of music videos have weird themes that make little sense. This particular presentation didn't appeal to me mainly because I'm not into boys and this seemed to be selling the pretty boy thing very hard. But plenty of music videos do that too, so I still don't see the principal issue.

It makes me wonder how many of my close, online friends are 1,500 pound grizzlies or other creatures. By the way, Dennis, I wanted to thank you personally for everything you've done. Let's meet at the mall this weekend! Gwarrr!

I'm tempted to go with "oh em gee media" route, but it strikes me as somewhat off. I mean, yes, there is a lot of sexuality on television and in music. You have people shaking their asses and snogging all over the damn place. But in the end, I have yet to see anyone bump uglies in mainstream entertainment. When I was a child, I became aware of my sexuality through watching television and what-not, but only god knew what the hell I could have done with these feelings in me. It never occurred to me that somewhere out there was a girl I might be able to put my penis in and that this would somehow sate my desires. Also, Parents should hit their kids.
Yeah you heard me....i am an advocate for child abuse...because kids that get smacked around when they do wrong dont fucking end up doing shit like this.

My body feels numb. My mind is slipping. The sheer amount of stupid that is leaking from that hyperlink has poisoned me. I only have a few minutes left.
Rosebud...
EDIT: Then again, some of the signatures are very entertaining.

Man, who else thinks a Ga-ga-ga-ga-ga GAOGAIGAR RPG would be awesome? erm-- that's a bit off-topic
Anyway, after floundering around a bunch of different games, I've finally settled on Ar tonelico. Beat the first chapter and really enjoying the second one. The dungeons are a bit boring, but the art and the Cosmosphere more than make up for it. The music alone is worth the purchase.
