I hate these discussions.

SMT Nocturne and Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines are two of my favorite RPGs.

It's silly to say one is exclusively better than the other. Each has merits and flaws, there's nothing to stop someone from enjoying both.

The Demi-Fiend in Digital Devil Saga 1 is the stuff of nightmares.

I've beaten Digital Devil Saga 2's, aside from Satan, and Lucifer in Nocturne(who really isn't all that hard).

Warsong had changed character portraits, but beyond that, the localization was pretty competent.

Ive played WAXF but I had to sell the psp before I had the chance to finish it(I think im on 2.4). The game is really devastating and I dont think I have the save file from before.
Which DJ max is the best? What music genre is rock/metal?

Fever is the one you can get in the US, and it's based on DJ MAX Portable 2, which has the widest variety.

There's a handful of rock songs, but it's mostly electronic.

My favorite version is Clazziquai(Korean Import). It doesn't have as many songs as Portable 2/Fever, just a handful of really good ones.

There's also Portable 1 and Black Square for imports. They're both extremely difficult.

I've beaten every Fiend I've run into so far.

Take a Lilim to drain the Mudo skills, then just wail on it like crazy.

Wild Arms XF is interesting. I hear the Mega Man remakes are wonderful.

You need DJ MAX. It is life.

The Disgaea ports are amazing(at least I expect 2's will be), and Prinny is hardcore, but fun. Great localization.

Is Iwadare doing the music for the remake?
908  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Lunar: Harmony of Silver Star on: May 15, 2009, 01:44:48 PM

Given how much of a remake this is, how much buzz it's generated in such a short amount of time, and that Victor Ireland at least has indicated his interest in the title

Please keep that hack away from it.

Better him than Ubisoft.

And if it wasn't for Victor Ireland, there's a good dozen amazing RPGs we'd have never gotten in the states.

Show some respect.

It's gonna suck. It has Idea Factory on board.

Words of wisdom. IF on the box = avoid like plague.

I thought it was a nice change, especially poking fun at RPG stereotypes along the way("Why does every RPG have to have at least one worthless drunk?").

For those of you hoping for Gaijinworks to take back what's theirs, don't get your hopes up.

From NeoGAF:

Wow, it would be SUPER cool if Gaijinworks got this. I can't imagine Lunar being properly handled in the hands of anyone else.
Not involved with it. Not against doing it, just not involved. All the rights were sold back to Game Arts years ago. Whether we are involved or not in the localization, I *pray* it's handled well.
911  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Lunar: Harmony of Silver Star on: May 13, 2009, 02:05:16 AM
I wonder though, if we get it here will they be able to use the Working Designs translation?

Actually, a new translation might do it some good, considering some of the awful humour in the game.

As long as Ubisoft don't touch it. I enjoyed the original translations, though.

Nothing wrong with a bit of fourth wall breaking.
912  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Lunar: Harmony of Silver Star on: May 13, 2009, 01:52:52 AM
This isn't a port. This is yet another remake. That looks way nicer than the PS1/Saturn remake ever did.

I love Lunar to death, so I'm sure I'll buy it yet again.
913  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Persona on PS3? on: May 08, 2009, 06:16:20 PM
SMT IV, or pass.

That's all I want at this point, and it would sell me on whatever console they make it for.

A true next gen core SMT: godliness.

Words can't convey the happiness, but they better not blow this one.

That actually didn't bother me all that much.

He accepted it and got on with his life.
