As a blacksmith, it's weird to think I can make a spear that high since at level 32 I haven't made any at all, but good to know. :D TIME TO GRIND FOR TOMESTONES.

Obelisk isn't worth it. None of the crafted weapons are worth it unfortunately. Ifrit and Garuda are incredibly easy to farm for weapons. Save your tomes for your Relic and Darklight as a DRG. If you need Primals slain for your relic quest just let me know. We 5 manned Titan HM last week for 3 people.

I'd love to do Ifrit HM, maybe some of my FC wants/needs it too. :) I need to do other stuff in terms of my relic quest too - EDIT: I have to fight the chimera in Coerthas and it's an 8 person battle.

I talked to Mike and were going to try to finish Main Story for him and Stephen on Sunday and anyone else who needs Praetorium. We did Chimera/AK/Hydra yesterday for another Relic pass but I don't mind doing another. Have you finished AV yet? I understand you need that now for the GC rank up to even get AK now. Depending on when we start and how much time people have to play we could finish your entire Relic cycle in about 3 hours if there's enough manpower available.

You're a veteran 1.0 player with every class at 50, and probably equivalent friends that did it. Duty finder is full of people who suck.

Your triumph is noteworthy, but lacking because you have yet to beat a df titan. It is impossible.

On a less sarcastic and joke-worthy note, yeah 5 manned titan is pretty good, but to be honest as long as your dps can break gaols before shit hits the fan post heart, you can rape titan with ease,he's fairly easy. Which, in turn, makes me rage at HOW FUCKING AWFUL PEOPLE ARE when it comes to dodging his attacks. Seriously....

Actually there's only 4 Legacy players in Solaris who started at 50 including myself. It has more to do with communication and practice than anything. Of my completed Relics I did 2 of them in server PUGs, so it's not impossible. I usually find DF to be filled with first timers, server shouts less so. If your trying to finish any stage of the relic including Primals I would recommend a shout group. The major problem with Titan is the lag most people get in the fight, so I wouldn't chalk it up to people being terrible more so than SE having shitty networking. We still get lag spikes that rape our best players. Again, it really helps to have friends or FC/LS mates you can learn the content with. While ARR definitely gives you the option to play a free agent, you're going to run into frustration with a lot of endgame.

My bad, when you said tin can armor I thought you were referring to Heavy Darklight. How close are you to 50? We've been clearing relics for the FC for the last two weeks so if you need help with a clear just let me know. What's your ingame name anyway?

Ohhh I guess I did say 'heavy tin can,' huh? Oops.

Well, I'm 49 now, halfway to 50. I haven't done the dungeons at the end of the story yet. Our FC is almost at that point, but I'll let you know/add you anyway (Eva Vasir is me). I won't be on til Monday though, I've been meaning to add you and some others.

Sweet. Praetorium is a memorable experience the first time through. Expect like an hour of cutscenes. Depending on what time your online Monday I can give you a hand with that stuff if you need any extras. Once you finish you can start your relic quest, wewt!

Not that it affects me, but I feel really bad for SMN and SCH on first boss in Aurum Vale. No way to heal stackable DoT on pets? Stupid oversight considering that Arcanist was such a prominent part of the game's relaunch.

I lol'd

Ohhhh. That makes sense then.  I haven't gotten dragoon OR blacksmith to 50 and that's literally all I'm playing.

Count me as another who's not too crazy about how the dark light armour looks. The heavy tin can armour look is especially weird on a dragoon, which makes me want the wyrm's stuff more. So many months of grinding though...

I'm confused. Heavy Darklight is PLD/WAR only, and yes the head/body looks retarded. I don't think Darklight for DRG looks bad at all, with the exception of the Nazghoul helmet, which can be toggled off. I'll post a pic of mine when I get home. Don't talk to me about farming Mythic lol. I've +1'd my Artemis Bow but I still have to do Gae Bolg and Curtana before I can even look at the AF+1 >.<

I didn't mention anything about heavy darklight? Just darklight. I've seen it on on other dragoons and every single time it looks kinda meh/bulky, but maybe they were Roegdyns or something.

Your pic actually looks more like what I'd rather it look like on me, I'm elezen. It looks awesome.  :)

Still not crazy about the helmet now that I look at it again, but we don't have to display it so who cares.

DAMNIT I WANT A GAE BOLG.

Hyperion is still locked out to transfers. In other news, finally finished...

Damn, how many of those were 50 from 1.0?

Just the combat classes with the exception of ACN and SMN since they weren't in the game then. It was actually much harder to level in 1.0 than ARR, especially with broken FATEs like Dark Devices - though, post patch, I don't think that's an issue anymore.

I noticed a slight change.  My Immortal Flame's quest originally told me to do Ampador Keep.  Post-patch, it now tells me to do Aurum Vale instead.  I think they're being a bit smarter about progression of content.  This also helps a bit with the current catch-22 situation of people expecting you to come with at least your i55 grand company weapon despite the fact that before, you couldn't even get to the appropriate rank to even be eligible to purchase it.

I've actually avoided doing end-game content for two reasons: for starters, don't feel like dealing with assholes at the moment, and secondly, darklight tank armor looks fucking awful.  I'm disappointed that the appearance tab won't make it for 2.1.

Prices are a good bit different on coeurl versus what I'm used to on Typhon.  Goods also flow... differently than I'm used to.  Guess I should prepare to adjust.  I'm really used to my fishing items flying off the shelf.

Doesn't look bad if you go Hoplite Circlet, Hoplite Tabard and get the DL Legs, gloves etc. That way you can upgrade into the AF+1 body and not have to worry about finding something for your head.

community is viral. i feel for people who are not geared, 90% of the things in shout require relics/ full dl

What I think is really disgusting is people are now demanding relics and full DL for Wanderer's Palace... /facepalm.

did a AK run last night where everyone had at least ifrit weapons(except me but the heals) the war had garuda's scream and they still couldnt dps the demon wall down fast enough wtf! now my poor gf is blaming herself and thinking she MUST have blood for blood. i dont have swiftcast or stoneskin but that wont help me me much i dont think. if the boss doesnt die fast enough i fall behind on heals because of the amount of dodging i have to do. i have a real issue with demon wall similar to manticore because when shit tarts to hit the fan is very difficult for me to keep people healed when people are low and dodge a boss mechanic. if i prioritize the mechanic people are going to die. if i prioritize healing im going to die.

I'm sorry to hear about your AK woes. From the details you've given a couple things may help. First of all, there's no hate list on demon wall that matters. Is your WAR going full out DPS or are they still in tank mode? Secondly, if your GF wants to play BRD, Blood for Blood and Internal Release are vital for her DPS if she wants to play to her full potential. BRD is extremely crit dependent and while the buff from Steady Shot is hefty, it only helps if it's kept up at all times and every bit helps because of the Bloodletter refresh from crit ticks on BRD DoTs. She can double her damage easily with the right buffs and rotation. Thirdly, are you using the DPS limit break to destroy the bees? If you don't have the DPS to kill the wall before they spawn (or shortly afterwards) this can significantly increase your survivability and success. Finally, you need Stoneskin and Swiftcast. Those are major tools for any healer. If your party is Stoneskinned before the fight you don't even need to heal them before the first Repel. Which means you can contribute to DPS, which makes the fight shorter. In clutch situations, Swiftcast can make the difference between a living player and a doorstop. You'll be amazed at your utility.

Dude....I fucking rock in this game. I literally have shut down ps3 haters who say I suck because I don't mouse/keyboard and don't have enough hotbars and shit. I have relic +1 and I beat Black Whirlwind to it (yeah he's on ultros, he was asking about you). I am fucking awesome!

I don't want this game to fail.

/golfclap

But seriously, I agree. I play all of my jobs (which is all of them) using the controller with little difficulty outside of remembering where I put shit on the crossbar sometimes (hey! I'm old). It's all in how you macro and knowing your rotations. I barely use 6 buttons on BRD and I'm pulling 170-180 DPS in Praet while some keyboard pundits I've played with, with similar gear setups, are struggling to break 150 with their 64 keys. The less cluttered UI helps a ton too. There is zero advantage playing one way or another. It's entirely the skill of the player.

I really don't want them to lower the difficulty either, there's 1 fight in the game I might consider difficult and it's more because other people suck at the game.

However, lowering xp to level up Botany and Mining? I'm okay with that. Lowering the amount of time I need to hit 80% 3000 times isn't really reducing the difficulty of the game.

I'm really disappointed in their choice to make Botany and Mining easier. Utilizing leves it's no harder than leveling any other class. Mindlessly grinding wasn't how leveling those classes were intended. Fishing was obnoxiously easy to cap with up to 13k xp a fish on top of HQ turn ins, you could finish it in under 15 hours. I did 37-50 in 3 hours. It took me a week to finish Mining and Botany from low 30's when I realized there was an easier way that didn't require 3 hours per level. The last thing this game needs is more throw away levels.
