Most recent book I finished was Mass Effect: Ascension. Have to say I'm excited to hear that The Invisible Man will be in ME2 because his character was great. Reminded me slightly of Andrew Ryan from Bioshock

How's Gundam so far? My cousin's obsessed, but it doesn't look all that interesting to me. I've been re-watching Cowboy Bebop lately. I forgot how much I love this show. Also, seeing this uncut for the first time makes it even better.
It's been pretty good so far, holding my interest fairly well, hopefully that will continue since I'm only about 8 eps in and it's 50ish total I think.

I should probably check out Eden of the East, it seems to be getting a pretty good response.
I'm currently watching Gundam Seed and Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, only a few episodes in on each.

GANTZ. Chapter 298.
Ahh, I'll say it once again. Reika, you stupid, stupid woman.
Even though I say that, I want Tae's Kuruno to die, die, die so that Reika is teh wins!!!11
I've always like Reika more as well. She's just an all around more interesting Character, Tae's so formulaic. Also that Deathnote opening is by Maximum the Hormone, probably my favorite Jrock band ever. They're great, they also do the ED

I thought American Beauty was much more comedic than dramatic. I was laughing basically the whole movie. I'm going to remember American Beauty much longer than Schindler's list as well. It really hit home. Schindler's List was documenting an event I've only learned about. Not to downplay the events it documented but American Beauty covers equally important topics just in a much different way.

Exactly, you'd think they'd try to manipulate the environments to fit the world. Not LOOK like something we already recognize. I think it'd be cool if they just named it a mine/desert/sewer etc. and crafted it into the world the game is made in so we'd know it was a mine/desert/sewer etc. and there would still be that air of familiarity because of the name but it would still fit the world it's in.

Also saw Wolverine, it was pretty cool. Total cheese-fest but cool none-the-less. The story had a little bit too much going on for all the action it was trying to fit in as well. Not to say it wasn't good, I hear they changed a lot from the actual origin story, but I still liked it. The fight scene at the end was amazing! I'm glad Gambit was actually present in this movie, but they didn't give him hardly any screen time that was worth while. Sabertooth was great, wish he was cast for the X-Men movies instead of that wrestler.

If you want to take it seriously you should probably just read the manga (assuming you haven't). If you want an unintentional(?) comedy gold mine though then continue watching!
I was considering this but since I already have all the anime episodes at hand I figure I'd just watch it... Man, according to what you just said, I should really stop hesitating and just go with what my, uh, self says first. :/ I don't see what you mean about the anime. I thought it went just as seriously as the manga. I watched it subbed in Japanese though, not sure if you're talking about the english dub or not. There aren't many differences story wise between the two. They added a scene or two in the anime, and one or two changed in the manga, but that's it. The series does however take a major dip in quality at a certain almost unanimously agreed on point, which I'm sure you'll feel the same once you get there, but by no means let that deter you from watching. Deathnote is one of the most awesome animes in recent memory, and I bet you'll remember it for quite some time after watching!

Watched Paprika last weekend.
Paprika = awesome. Artsy, scientific, etc.
I definitely need to watch this, I've been hearing so much about it. I read all of Pluto, it was pretty sweet. I liked their take on A.I. a lot.

I just ignored Bleach once the Bount arc kicked off then picked it up when the filler ended. It was at its best in the first 20-ish episodes, but it's not terrible enough to make me want to stay away.
This is exactly why I read the manga. Filler arcs don't exist
