Just to clarify my post, I have the Limited Edition of Trails in the Sky right here on my shelf.

Hyperdimension Neptunia: There's no timer, so it's hard to say how far in I am, but I'm at 63% event completion. I'm having fun, even though it's definitely a flawed game. The dungeons are short (thank God), but they do get tedious sometimes. However, the cutscenes, the great dub and the spectacular 2D graphics more than make up for it.

Legend of Heroes II Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch: I refuse to play TiTS untill we know for sure that part 2 and 3 are coming, so I'm playing through the old LoH trilogy instead. I'm really liking the second (first) game. It's a very charming traditional (*very traditional*) JRPG with a simple, but effective story, and a very basic, but relatively fun battle system (it sort of reminds me of Lunar). I like the characters and the fact that it's one of those games that really make you feel like you're on a grand journey. I'm on chapter 3 and really having fun. The translation is bad (there are some words missing here and there, typos, etc.), although it's not Wild Arms 2 bad or even Final Fantasy VII bad. I mean, you know exactly what's going on and it's even occasionally funny, but it's just sort of bland and without much flair most of the time. In general, though, I don't think it really detracts from my enjoyment of the game. I'm definitely going to play through A Tear of Vermillion and the third game sooner rather than later.

I'm not actually complaining; they're in the business of making games and should do everything to maximize their profits. It's just sort of funny when people complain about Square but fail to notice that Atlus has been doing the exact same thing.

So Atlus continues to milk the Persona franchise....what else is new. Seriously, they're just as bad as Square at this point.

I'd say 7-8 hours.

Wow, that was quick!

We don't have the manual with the EU version (which is a big shame), so hopefully it will be managable without one of those walkthroughs...

If you know what you're doing you can probably beat Ys I in 3-4 hours.

So I must be crazy but I decided it would be a good idea to play through the Legend of Heroes games (the Gagharv trilogy). I started with The Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch, since this is apparently the first game, even though it is called LOH II in the US. Anyway, having heard only bad things about these games, I'm kinda confused. Sure, I'm only 3 hours in, but I really don't see what's so terrible about it. It's rather generic and uninspired, but I'm actually having fun. The translation is not all that bad, either.

Also still playing Hyperdimension Neptunia. It's fun, mostly.

I beat Ys I last night. It was awesome, the best music I've heard in a game in a long, long time (and I just finished Radiant Historia last week too). I had to use the walkthrough they included in the manual in a couple of places, which makes me sad because I really hate doing that.

As I was walking from home from work I got this great idea to buy a 3DS. I walked over to the nearby Best Buy, went to the video games section, took a look at the current 3DS lineup and I was like "Ummm, no". And I went home.

jd rockefeller up in here

He decides to mention his latest financial exploits to us,the "poor peasants".

Umm, you guys have no idea what you're talking about. I edited now anyway. The only thing I was trying to say is that the amount of work involved in something like that is huge.

So I'm still playing it, I'm at around 30% event completion if I recall correctly. I'm having fun. Sure, it gets repetitive after a while, but due to the short dungeons it's a perfect game to play in short bursts, as somebody already said above. I like the cutscenes and the characters. The voice acting is the best I've heard in a JRPG in a while (I especially like Neptune's VA).

I started playing Ys I yesterday as my current handheld title after I beat Radiant Historia. I"m about four hours in and all I can say is that it is pure old-school JRPG goodness. Looks like I've already hit the level cap after some grinding in the mine...

Just finished it, 185/236 and in the second half of the game i pretty much stopped doing side quests and stuff. Great game.

Yep, I'm a patient man. It's not like I have nothing else to play anyway.
