1  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Odin Sphere to hit PSN along with other PS2 titles on: October 08, 2011, 01:37:37 PM
Best part about this?

We ended up getting it before Japan.

Have any of you played it yet?  I want to know how the graphics look on an HDTV.  And did the lag problem resolve after all?

Looks excellent on a HDTV (game is upscaled to 720p). As for the slowdown I haven't made it far enough in the game to see if it is still in game. If I remember correctly slow down started to rear its ugly on the second or third boss battle on the PS2. From then on it was a normal occurrence in the game.

One of my HNMLS mates helps run a new player LS called Moghouse. I can ask him about it for you. What level jobs do you have?

My character information:

Character Name: BlueBlaze

Disciples of War
Sword 10
Axe 18
Hand to Hand 6
Polearm 5

Disciples of Magic
Conjury 6
Thaumaturgy 8

Disciples of the Hand
Alchemy 4
Smithing 9
Clothcraft 1

Disciples of the Land
Mining 9
Botany 2

For folks interested in checking the game out again. It would seem that Pleveling in party is now entirely possible and encouraged. If anyone is interested in a leg up, I'll be online Sunday evening helping some returning friends acclimatize and do some of the lowbie dungeons, anyone is welcome.

Edit- New and returning players interested in an active low-mid level LS can speak to Sanlord Maelon ingame about the LS Mog House.

That sounds great. I should definitely be around this Sunday.

I was originally going to wait till the PS3 version was released before coming back but with all the changes I figured I'd give the game another shot.

Now I just need to find a new linkshell. I don't suppose anybody here is in on Trabia and in a ls that is recruiting?

And capcom has joined the ranks of shit.

How does it join a rank it is already a part of?

If I remember correctly the poor reviews were mainly due to bandai namco's awful translation. I could be wrong as I have yet to take the wrapping off of all three games.

I'd mount that shit. :O Crab Mounts goooo. I can't believe how detailed the environment looks in this game.

 Even the sky looks incredible...

There are no late fees.  This class action suite is such a waste of time....  If your card gets charged back or has insufficient funds all they do is lock your character until you pay off what is owed plus the current months fee (not a late fee!).  Hell, you aren't even obligated to pay it back what you owe if you choose never to login again.  You just lose control of your account till you pay it off.  I know all of this from experience.  D;

I forgot to post this before so here it is now.

My Mog Bonanza #'s!

Now everyone can see how screwed over I get by SE. Last year I thought I won 2nd place, but it turned out I miss typed the number. :L

There won't be as many mules running around as there were last year. With the mule having to of been created before April 8th in order to take part in the lottery.  Pretty sure the level 5 min is still in place too.  *Looks forward to losing again this year*

I find it interesting how they made the gil rewards this year based off how many marbles are sold.

My non spoiler ranking descriptions:
1. WotG- Great story and pushes FFXI to it's limit in the technical department (PS2)
2. CoP -Also a great story with the only flaw (when I completed them) being all the level cap battles. :/
3. Zilart-Decent story with some memorable moments, could of been a bit longer.
4. Rank-Missions The story isn't fleshed out as much as the top 3, but it still manages to be enjoyable to the point of completion.
5. ToAU-Main turnoffs being mission cool downs and sub par story when compared to my top three.{Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass} :|

*Rocks out with the ratings*

As for the bannings

I can do that too!

I'm very much enjoying the WotG plot, that's been my big push in FFXI the last few days. Trying to catch up to the new missions.

Also been working my butt off on a big article on the FanFest. By the time I get it out most of it will be like "ah, we heard about that yesterday." So it's less news, and more "views," in scope. Keep an eye out for it yall! :)

Honestly, there is not a MMORPG out there that pulls you into the story as much as FFXI does.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07thZIeNFJI WotG Mission 14<---- Seriously, this has by far been been my favorite FFXI expansion in terms of story. CoP was good, but WotG even beats that out imo.
