Number Two's eyes narrowed and became what are known in the Shouting and Killing People trade as cold slits, the idea presumable being to give your opponent the impression that you have lost your glasses or are having difficulty keeping awake. Why this is frightening is an, as yet, unresolved problem.

You know what's surprisingly good?  This copy of the first Vampire Hunter D novel I picked up on a whim.  My knowledge of this character comes solely from that shitty PS1 game I played way back.  This is not high literature by any stretch of the imagination, but it has a pulp sensibility that I find refreshing in this day and age where every book I read wants to be a Tolkien-esque epic.  I'll be buying more of them...and apparently there are a lot of them. :P

I dig this game, man.  If it maintains this level of excellence throughout, I'd easily put it down as one of the best games in the series, surpassed only by the greatness of DMC3.  NewDante gets on my nerves, but the game itself is largely faultless.

its funny when someone says FFXII is horrible yet then says xenoblade is the 2nd coming of jesus.

...I don't think I've ever agreed with you about a video game until now.  I'm not sure how I feel about this. :P

Devin Townsend - Kingdom

Epicloud version.  Sends an already awesome song into the fucking stratosphere.

im starting to think ME1 is just a horrible game and i should consider skipping to ME 2. im on the planet where you have to find the matriarch's daughter and theres a scripted battle where i've died about 10 times. once the battle starts i cant even retreat and regroup because some red laser hits me and 1 shots me.

No lie, that part is the only big hurdle in the game.  I die there at least once every time I play through the game.  If you can beat that, you can beat anything and everything else that the game throws at you, so keep trying.

I've been playing 999 off and on for the past several weeks.  I finally got the best ending today.  It certainly gave me a lot to think about, to say the least. :P

I picked up a copy of the Mass Effect trilogy collection on PS3, and am currently undertaking the toughest challenge I can think of:  go through the entire series without choosing a renegade option.  I've been successful so far.  I even managed to get through Feros without gunning down innocents. :P

I get what you're saying, but the alternative would've been for them to restrict the story content, which was the main selling point of the game. I'm pretty sure that's even worse.

Nah, that's pretty much Turbine's bread and butter when it comes to Lord of the Rings Online:  pay a little money every ten levels or so to access new content.  It certainly makes more sense to charge for a entire zone than it does to charge for the privilege to equip gear.

Assassin's Creed 3 beaten.  The last three sequences felt rushed and the ending sucked.  I would have enjoyed the game quite a bit more if (beginning of the game spoilers)

Code:
you could play as Haytham the entire time.  The man had style, personality, and wit.  That opening sequence at the opera house set a tone that the middle and end of the game couldn't even come close to maintaining.

Now I'm playing Dark Souls.  It's clicking with me a lot better than it ever has, considering that I'm already further into it than I've ever gotten. :P

I think I'm getting close to the end of Assassin's Creed 3.  I just finished sequence ten, where Connor just did a lot of stupid shit for reasons that make no goddamn sense.  For once, the Desmond stuff has me hooked than the Animus stuff.  Might be because Connor is such a boring protagonist.

I won't lie, I just wish I could somehow take rope darts over to Assassin's Creed:  Brotherhood and play with them there. :P
