I've been listening to the live version of X Japan's "Art of Life" recently.  Good stuff.  If you think I'm posting the lyrics to a song that long, you're fucking crazy. :P

The greatest plot and characters in existence don't mean a damn to me if the gameplay blows.  I'm with you; I don't see how a good storyline can be the main concern of the average RPG player.  I'd much rather play a fun game with a mediocre plot (say, Legend of Mana) than a boring game with an interesting premise (say, Xenosaga).

If only I had seen this thread before my copy of Oblivion arrived.  I could have ranted for ten paragraphs. :P

I'm currently rereading one of my favorite stories, "The War Hound and the World's Pain" by Michael Moorcock.  Like most of his stuff, it's short but sweet.

Next on the agenda is to refresh myself with Janny Wurts' Mistwraith books.  I just found on today that the most recent entry in the series came out a few months ago, and I've forgotten damn near every detail from the earlier books. :P

That's too early for me, too. :P  I was thinking more along the lines of seven or eight EST.

It's not in English, but it was easy enough for me to figure out from my experience with Ys III.  You go to the same areas in the same order you did previously, so it was just a matter of finding the area with the right music. :P

I'm pretty sure I ordered mine from NCSX, but that was a long time ago so my memory might be off.  I haven't imported anything before then or since, so I don't know if that's the best place out there to do business.

The only reason I hopped onto a PvP server in the first place is because I envisioned our little band sticking together and cutting a swath through everything we came across.  I didn't count on jackasses going around killing people 40 levels lower than they are, just for the sake of ruining someone's experience.  Unofurtunately, that's the only side I've seen of the PvP server system, and I don't much like it.

If you guys end up bailing on Shattered Hand, I'll probably follow suit.  I'm gonna poke my head into STV tonight and see just how bad it is before I say for sure.

And I have that many alts because it's the only way I could keep from shooting up to level 35 and leaving the others behind. :P  And one's a mule holding my stockpile of bullets, so that doesn't count.
