I don't think the treadmills the problem, not directly anyway. Nothing to do is the problem. You aren't going to mind the carrot on a stick if you're enjoying the ride. But this would be the time to cancel until 3.x if it weren't for esoterics.

I think the 3d/2d thing would be cooler if the 3d looked better. Although maybe that's a bit unfair because it was someone filming a person playing and not a direct feed.

Main character doesn't strike me as female at all, unless said female is trying to pass herself off as a man. If that were the case I'd say it's a really good design. Unlikely though because self insert heroes. Definitely androgynous, but more male than not.

I don't even see the Trunks comparison, probably thanks to those softer androgynous features which aren't Toriyama's usual fare. I mean, I see it(Hair parted down the middle, purple outfit, sword on the back)...but I don't see it. The character looks relatively unique, except for the clear dq8 cues in the outfit. Which is probably a good choice for getting the international market since that was their most popular dq.

After watching Jojo part 3 I made the jump to the manga and finished reading Diamond is Unbreakable. I liked Stardust Crusaders, but it's a pretty big step up. Liked the cast and the stands got a lot more interesting in general. Just about everyone gets cool powers instead of just a few choice bad guys, with the good guys stuck with 'Your power is your stand has a sword.'

Apparently part 5 has a debate of 'it's not very good' and 'it's very good, but the translation doesn't do it justice'. So think I'm skipping it until the whole thing gets a better translation and going straight to part 6.

Also seriously the soundtrack:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6rEU_-_P-g (Forelands theme, same melody as below)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCXfzpTUu8I (dungeon name spoilers)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fe9mLH3egLg (ishgard night-time in the Foundation)

I was not expecting jazz. But it's made for the most relaxing dungeon running ever.

Caught up to prepare for the expansion. Sweet cut scenes. And some long ass credits. But at least they played Answers.

Addicted to chocobo racing and not sure why. Triple Triads cool, but I've still just got my 5 starter cards.

Bought a barmaids dress with my gold saucer points. Because this is a game about pretty dresses. Manly pretty dresses.

Expansion, I'm rather worried about UI clutter. More than ever I wish I could make macros like putting physic/ruin on one button WITHOUT built in lag.

I really like the machinist and bard less mobile power/caster stances. So long as they're balanced anyway and both styles have a place.

Astrologian's non-card stuff looks pretty simple for the most part, but I'm pretty interested in it. It's all on whether the cards deliver or not. If they do that should make up for it.

Scholar moves looks kinda situational. I'm not sure when I'd need to turn adlo into a pure heal. Lustrate's there for emergencies, otherwise you're getting physic. A big aoe heal means you probably didn't keep succor up, though sometimes that happens and it could be useful in the dreaded two scholar parties. Wish I got smns new tri-disaster. Not going to lie though. Eating fairies for power is neat.

Princess Joshua is clearly the best girl.

Well, that or a certain maid from later in the game.

ok there are a ton of comic shows and i haven't seen a one.

what one should i watch?

Daredevil, easily.

If you want more after that, I just caught up with The Flash and I'd say it's overall pretty good. I say overall because the comic book stuff is pretty great and it has a amazing antagonist.

Buuut whenever Iris shows up on screen prepare for CW forced drama and misunderstandings.

I didn't mind the last 3rd of the game, to which I think I can thank Dickson(And his great voice actor) standing in as the big bad for most of it. After he got his death scene and it was time to fight Zanza though, man, things took a nosedive. Zanza's dialogue was so bad. Every awful jrpg last boss trope in the book. Such a amazing game deserved better.

^ I also hear after unlocking Dolls and playing more and more with them you'll avoid walkin' around as a person.  Which saddens me...till I probably get into the same roll and fly around all day.*

This is something that bugged me with Xenogears way back. It eventually turned into all mechs all the time.

But then, mech combat sucked in Xenogears.

I know this is completely unfair because of the stance they have to take and everything.

But everyone is having a good time except the stuck up violinists.

Anyway, that WAS pretty cool.

Bad time to pose like your laser gun is the monado OR there's something so scary up there that he has to ignore all that behind him to shoot at it? YOU DECIDE!

I'd watch the FUCK out of a Samurai Star Wars if this picture has anything to say about it.

'I find your lack of faith dishonorable.'

Is it weird that I see white and gold for half a second and then it turns into blue and black? Then I can't see white and gold anymore until I haven't looked at the picture for a while.

At first I thought that was the trick, but it seems more a people in one camp or the other kinda thing.

As much as I'd like to see a college-based Persona too, it's been pointed out to me that Japan's view of college is drastically different than our view of college. Whereas we tend to view college as frat-parties, getting wasted, and discovering one's self, Japan tends to view college as working your arses off to get a job where you can continue to work your arses off. Not exactly the most fun setting for an RPG. :P

No idea if it's true, but I'd heard the opposite, that you worked your ass to get INTO a good college, but once you were in it didn't matter too much since the company that eventually hires you is going to train you from scratch anyway. They care less about what you learned and more about you being smart enough to get in.

Obvious exceptions for if you want to be a doctor or something.

The "scientist" dorks were totally throwaway though.

They didn't really give anyone but the blonde anything to work with, but she was pretty good.
