That combat does look bad, but it could just as much be the player. He just kind of stands there, slooowly moving his mouse over and clicking skills. Most noticeable with the caster where the question becomes 'Can you not kite? Or are you just not trying?'

WHY DID THEY LEAVE IT ON A CLIFF HANGER>>>>> AAAUUUUUGGGGHHH
That cliffhanger saved the game for me at the end. It was all well and good until then, but near the end of the game it was like it was TRYING to make me not like it. First you had to go through a sewer level to get to the last dungeon. Then near every chest is monsters. And for some reason physical attacks started to be ineffective, monsters would interrupt you if you tried to cast anything and it just became a chore of building up your limit break over and over. I ended up looking up a map and skipping half the dungeon as I made a straight line for the boss, avoiding all enemies and treasure in between. Killed boss1, boss2 seemed pretty strong and had a ton of health. I realized if I could win the fight it would take way too damn long, went to youtube and watched the ending. And the ending was so great the bad taste of the last dungeon was wiped away completely. I just played the game last month though so I don't know the pain of waiting near 2 years with no SC in sight. But I suspect I will. Two years from now.

There's rumors that more Kino's Journey is going to be made. There's supposed to be a 'big announcement' or something soon, hopefully it's not just a case of fans getting overhyped over nothing.

That said, you should check out the manga since despite the anime's 'ending' dicking itself over the story doesn't actually stop there or even go there At the time watching it I thought it was lame that they made their own ending. Later though I read it and really didn't like the direction they took it where it's not even fantasy but some bioweapon experimentation bullshit . Then some penis monsters showed up and I dropped it. And I heard even the manga didn't get a real ending either because the author dropped it in protest of some bill japan was trying to pass or something.

I don't know how good the games were, but if they were bad or mediocre they shouldn't bring them over so they don't hurt the brand.
The DS version of Innocence does have a fantranslation though, if you have the means to play it.

As somebody with no art talent he amazed me by being able to make things looks so good by doing so little. 'You just did 4 quick brush strokes, WHY IS THAT A BEAUTIFUL TREE?!' and why is it so happy?
And I can't believe the guy who made Mr Rogers look stressed and angry was a drill sergeant.

I hear an apparent end game spoiler tries to make the title less ridiculous.
Or more ridiculous. I'm playing trails in the sky right now and you know what I like about it? I'm trailing sky pirates.

I'm a bit worried about the multiple turn thing because it seems to go against the goal of fast gameplay. Look at the youtubes and you'll see people in the menus for near 30 seconds even when all they're doing is having everyone attack four times each.

As a direct plan it has tons of flaws. From people having their own stock of soda in the fridge to the fact that if they can just order another one if they're out and want more. If it's a indirect move to make people think on the subject and try and sway public opinion away from soda it could have a small effect.
It's a pretty scummy tactic though, even if his heart is in the right place.
Personally I'll drink mountain dew if there's free pop available at a gathering or whatever, but as a rule I try never to buy it. I used to, but as I gained weight I figured that, hey, if I attack a bag of chips at least there's satisfaction to that. It fills my stomach. A drink doesn't. I'm just adding calories and not getting anything out of it. So, I'm all about water.
