on the 18th of april i finished a 2 week work evaluation program. gotta go back on the 30th to see the results. and monday(april 21st) was my birthday. i am now 28 and the big 30 is creeping up on me >_>

also texting is lame. i hate trying to decypher all those abreviations.

I personally don't use abbreviations. That's why I have the full keyboard. I can't stand the abbreviations. To me texting is similar to using AIM or MSN when on the go. It is also good for getting pictures from people halfway across the country. Like it or dislike it, it is convenient sometimes.

to be fair i don't even own a cell phone. so my opinion was partly based on those commercials where it looks like the girls are talking in some weird code. i also remember a couple years ago i got a cell phone for my sister and she racked up a $500 bill in texting charges.

i am not going to play crap like wii fit and wii sports and the people that play those games aren't gonna play the stuff i like

That is an amazingly ignorant and elitist statement. I play Wii Sports and RPGs. If you had said "Aren't as likely..." then I wouldn't be calling you an idiot for the statement, but as it stands. You are an idiot.

it wasn't meant to be elitist. personally i never liked those pick up and play games, and never envisioned that it would be possible for one to like both types of games. perhaps im just a narrow minded person.

i simply don't understand how wii fit is supposed to create a better environment for stuff like fire emblem. i am not going to play crap like wii fit and wii sports and the people that play those games aren't gonna play the stuff i like. so the above quote sounds like bullshit to me.

Sensei Phoenix, I have to agree with Neal on this one, as a human being, and as an athiest. We ALL have faith in something, faith is in inevitable byproduct of consciousness. I do have faith in science, I have faith in the inexistance of an intelligent prime mover/God. Simply because athiests like myself may feel that science is almost completely irrefutable, that is only because we have put our faith in logic. We have put our faith towards a particular universal model that can be calculated in ways we can repeat. That in itself is faith.

We athiests have become so at odds with world religions that we've come to site "absense of faith" as our differing factor. But I think we've simply redefined "faith" out of our equation.

Faith doesn't have to be defined as something "blind", faith can be defined by logic, as belief in logic is a leap of faith in of itself, even if it's a very concrete and has much evidence.

I came to the conclusion that I, as everyone else, has faith, when I realized that I was an athiest, believe it or not. I used to call myself an agnostic, but then I realized that I really did have a belief... that I really didn't think a God existed, and no amount of trying to make "everyone happy" by remaining neutral, would change that.

i have faith in nothing. wich at times leads to hopelessness.

So you're a Nihilist?

No, anyway, I don't like...  The names being thrown around in here for us "faithless" folk.  Not ascribing to a dogma isn't itself a dogma.  Nihilist, Atheist, Agnostic, Anti-Theist...  I think for a lot of who shun religion, being rounded into a category is self defeating.

The abscence of something does not equate the parallel of that coin.  The non-belief of a God is not anything like being a member of a religion.

It's like when I hear Satanists praising the good name of Satan and denouncing the name of Christ.  Subscribing to the Satanist club and subscribing to Satan is accepting and becoming a part of Christianity.  Because Satan is the parallel of the coin that is Christ.  And adhering to Satan's will is adhering to Christianity, because Satan and Hell are still part of Christian Myth.  They're parts of the same machine powered by the Bible and fueled by believing in Christ.

Satanism = The schism towards yet full acceptance of Christianity.

nah im just an athiest that deep down inside hopes there is a god. because death without an afterlife would seriously suck. i've been casually searching for a religion but let me say from my viewpoint the prospects arent good. ive been to catholic weddings where the preist basically said god created women for men,and as far as i can tell condemns my sexuality, and doesnt allow women to be preists.  i dont know much about muslums(sp?) but it appears they make the women cover up to protect them men from temptation. the only religion i currently know of that promotes equality is wicca heh...

With all of these great ideas, we should all get together and make an RPG. :P

if i made my my own rpg i would make the protagonist a lesbian and give her a romantic interest. maybe even create a love triange with a female antagonist. i grow tired of reappropriating characters.
