Part of that had to do with the speed of the Playstation's CD-ROM's read speed. With the faster read speed of the PSP, the video should be much clearer.
I actually suspect the UMD drive reads slower. Note the increased loading in some PS1 to PSP UMD ports! It probably has more to do with the codec or something in creating higher quality video. Really? I find that somewhat surprising considering that the technology of the PSP is a decade newer.

one thing i really liked about Lunar 1 was jessica *cough* and the bromides *cough* a healer that could actually kick some ass physically. as for the anime scenes i hope they at least clean them up. i just popped the game in my ps2 and they look grainier than most youtube video's Part of that had to do with the speed of the Playstation's CD-ROM's read speed. With the faster read speed of the PSP, the video should be much clearer.

I played through that scene at Mike's house - I still remember him exiting and staying out of the room minutes before it happened. He knew it was coming. :P
It was really horrible to watch, yes, but I thought the characters (okay writers) had the right idea. Hell, at least faking a smile has GOT to be better than brooding/moping nonstop. It even makes you feel better if only a little bit.
I didn't think the thing between Tidus and Yuna was tacked on. It was nice to see them actually have a relationship, rather than it being alluded to and/or hinted at, and then for the characters to only get together in Godawful crap on fanfiction.net . I also disagree with the kiss being out of nowhere, it was a 'finally', really.
I wasn't fond of Yuna's voice actor in the very beginning of the game, but she improved as the game progressed. I thought the voice actress for Yuna did a pretty good job. One thing I liked about the romance aspect of Final Fantasy X is that it was done far better than VIII's. You felt like they had an actual connection as opposed to Squall and Rinoa.

I see, I was thinking of buying the Xbox 360 for merely playing Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, and Infinite Undiscovery.
Or maybe I should stick with my PS3? :P If you only want the XBox 360 for three games, I would suggest you stick with the Playstation 3 unless you are flush with cash.

I am still disappointed that they aren't going to create new animated cut scenes for the game. While the animation for the Saturn / Playstation remake still looks good, it's in the 4:3 aspect ratio. The game will either have ugly black bars on the sides or they'll have to cut the frame to make it fix the PSP screen.

I would discourage such a practice since I could see using an affiliate system leading to a conflict of interest. I would not be able to trust any reviews of any games posted here if the site is getting commissions for every game sold by clicking through the site. I think that in order to maintain some sense of editorial integrity, such advertising partnerships would be a bad idea.

It's Final Fantasy 4 for PSP, because we all know that game hasn't had enough ports yet. :P I would consider this a possibility if only there wasn't a recent remake of the game for the Nintendo DS. I don't really have a guess about what game this might be. We'll find out soon enough, I guess.

I was just watching the video for Thriller over on Youtube. It more qualifies as a short film since it is over 14 minutes in length. What I find strange about the video is that he seemed so normal in it. If I knew nothing about the that happened in the 27 following the release of that video, I never would have thought his life would have turned out as it did. The second thought that occurred to me is how I hard I find it to believe that it would have been aired uninterrupted in its entirety at the time considering how television content rarely lasts that long between commercial breaks. It gives you an idea just how different the TV market was 27 years ago.

Since I believe he was a pedophile, all I can say is that I am glad the monster is dead. And if you were wrong? You said you BELIEVE he was a pedophile, which isn't the same as KNOWING he is. Then I would be wrong and have to re-evaluate my assessment of him. At this point, it will never be known whether or not he was in spite of my belief he was. With him dead and his victim not talking (or even identified), we'll never know. One thing I do find utterly staggering is the amound of debt he incurred when you consider just how much money he made. I read in my local paper that over a 25 year period he made around three quarters of a billion dollars. The lifestyle he lead must have been completely unsustainable in order for him to have accumulate the massive debt he had.

Since I believe he was a pedophile, all I can say is that I am glad the monster is dead. While I do concede he was a brilliantly talented musician in his prime, he grew into a monster who preyed upon innocent children. He should have died years ago for his crime.

I was looking forward to an action based combat system before they scrapped it. The scrapping the online functionality is good to know, though. I do like the turned based combat of the Dragon Quest games so keeping the system intact while removing random encounters is fine by me.
I do wonder if Square Enix will update the interface when bringing it over like they did with VIII. I think this title has a good chance of being very successful in the West if they market it well.

This game is looking damn good. I am very impressed with Level 5's work on the game's visuals. Here's hoping the localization happens relatively quickly so we can get our hands on it. My only concern is the online component. So long as it isn't necessary to complete the game and optional; I'll be fine with it.
