i had big huge hopes for this franchise, but i got a little weirded out by schilling's appearance on glenn beck's radio show where glenn himself vouched that curt was "a good and honorable man."  curt went on to talk about what a fiscal conservative he's always been.... now he's looking for public money.

on the final score podcast, shilling said the demo was code that was over 3 months old and he was kinda pissed off about it, i don't remember anything about third parties though.

he also mentioned that they've already submitted the first dlc, and ea said it was too big.

i heard kurt was seen at blizzcon walking around completely /facepalmed because one of the mop announcements was something big they were planning for copernicus.

i'm at part 17 in ch 1 and i'm enjoying it so far.

it's got a mild case of consolitis though... i hate when a-s-d make the character face the direction he's moving.  lots of awkward crap happens when you can't take a step backwards in the middle of a big group without doing a 180.

there'll be separate servers, but you'll be able to switch among them at will. 

i read the two novels that span the gap between gw and gw2 and i was pleasantly surprised at how entertaining they were.

how much fiddling with the settings have you tried?  my laptop with an ati 4670 1gb had no stuttering.  i played with textures on high, no texture downscaling, and everything else at the lowest setting though.

do you live on a tropical island? that setting is as alien to me as any space shooter or iron age rpg.

just picked up dks for $20 on steam's weekend sale. looking forward to it.  all the reviews i've read have been encouraging, even the bad ones.

hard is currently kicking my ass.  i only get an hour or two every couple days to play... it's difficult to build up any momentum. 

i'm finding lots of things i missed in act 1 the first time.  i got this great idea to go through to the point of choosing roche/iorveth without spending any points (after the first 7) and squirreling away the save for future replayability... but i'm not sure i'll be able to hit level 8 at this rate ha ha ha.

i skipped tons of side quests in chapter 2 and 3.  i just couldn't be arsed to comb the city for that third gargoyle.... shit was going down!  i thought chapter 3 was a good length; sorry to see it end, but seriously, everything was in place, ya know? 

i'm definitely ramping up to hard. early in chapter two i almost started over, but if i had it prolly would have taken me this long to catch back up.
